Sigh.

One torture finished and another one has started. Our beloved (🤢) Psycho has been replaced with a loathsome character with no redeeming qualities thus far (seriously, who in their right mind would talk badly to Deepa's father, the most genuine person in this show? Oh, wait...her 'role model' is Bhuv, no wonder). As such, CP is an apt nickname.

However, I do prefer this character for 2 reasons:

1. Her axe to grind falls with the 3 Musketeers, who (thus) far has always stood strong through thick and thin. If CP thinks she can ruin the relationship between these 3, she has better luck chewing through solid cement.
2. She has absolutely no connection to TA.

But then again, we here in the forum did think so highly of TA, before his original character shattered as he fell from his pedestal. I'm hoping the same thing will not occur with Deepa, Kalyani & Thuls 😕.

TA's friends are as useful as TA...which is to say, not much. Who would willingly consort with Padma? They know her character very well, and yet they spill out their plans to her (of all people...not Paati or MM or even Pavi, but Padma ). TA's friends seem to be exact replicas of him sometimes.

Just a quick thought; will CP change Prabha, as the original Pei changed TA? I hope the director won't resort to that again, or splitting up our dashing Trio. 😕

@Jinju: What you say is right. 96% marks is never heard of in engineering college. The highest percentage I have heard in my college is 87%. The lecturer could have meant Thulasi scored 96% in that particular subject which is quite possible. But the college professors did yell at students when I was studying. But it was long way back. An interesting point the lecturer told. T scored high marks because she refers library books. But the student who scored low marks didn't do. In India, they expect us to study from library books. In USA, one needs to study from only one book which is prescribed in the syllabus and if one studys well from that book, he/she can score full marks. When I was studying, the students didn't have to wear uniform. But I know in some colleges, students need to wear uniform these days. Cell phones are never allowed in the classrooms in India as far I know. But is the USA culture finding way in India also? In USA, the students eat food in the classroom, when the lecture is going on. They do all sorts of activities in the classroom.

Ranu, The song you have composed is really beautiful and I enjoyed it.

Interestingly so far we have seen CP, she is shown as an arrogant person who boasted about her bad character right in the first scene. As some of you said, she behaves in a different way from Charu. Charu started becoming pei only after she lost TA to T. Till then she was a nalla humble ponnu, who was humble to her sothai and even picked up her vomit. May be CP will only pick up Bhuvana's vomit.

One week has thus ended in which the serial moved slowly. I wish you all a nice weekend. Hope the next week is packed with more action.

Actually Maha, it is quite possible for a student to achieve even 100% depending on how brilliant and lucky the student is. Since it's a serial and Thulasi supposed to be super brainy when it comes to her studies, and she said she got motivated by GW and Psycho's discouragement so 96% is definitely possible for such a character. Perhaps this new psycho's irritability will make T to score 100% 😆

Is it? I, too have been studying in US system and usually studying just from that single book alone is not enough. Other books are generally used to put the subject matter into perspective and if the teacher is not good at teaching the applications, reference books are the only way to thoroughly understand the subject inside out.

Yes eating in lectures is very common as sometimes professors don't give breaks during 3/4hrs lectures and sometimes one has no choice but to satisfy the hungry tummy while also listening to the professor at same time. Luckily, one can usually borrow notes, record lectures, and find alternative ways to make sure nothing is missed. Just out of curiosity what other activities do students do in lectures??

I must disagree there. There was a reason I didn't like Charu even before TA broke their engagement. I remember when she went to beauty parlour she dismissed the people sitting on the couch and only let T&D go in front after being confronted by Deepa. It seemed to me like she only shows humbleness so people like her and she looks like a good person.

Even her psychoness was seen when the lawyer came to bail TA out for Murugasen case and Psycho said she wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone who came in TA's path 🤪She behaved well toward her sothai as she was the key to getting TA and toward others with a motive to win all their affections so her desires for the things she wants is carried through. To me, Charu was and always going to be psycho unless she seeks proper treatment from a psychiatric. I can't seem to wrap my head that she has any sort of good in her... it's just the way the Thendral portrayed her 😕

Ranu, May be it is possible to score 100%. But when I was in Engineering College in Trivandrum, there were subjects in which the highest marks a person could get is only 70%. Those days I have heard in North India, the highest overall percentage one could get in some engineering colleges was less than 70. Are the students in those colleges not so brilliant?

@ Maha, Ohhh is it? I'm not familiar with the Indian colleges but it seems uncharacteristically difficult to attain even decent marks based on the marks you are saying. I wonder why those teachers back then made it so impossible for a decent grade to be achieved when the goal is to help students achieve best 😕

And you did postgrad in US? WOW, that's quite impressive. 😃 Which university did you attend and for what?

Anywho, this is serial... T can achieve 110% if director wants and TA can win Bank officer of the year award if the writers chose as well 🤣🤣🤣

This word " I want my wife to be like me"attitude is wrt to the forgiving nature he has and I guess this cant be interpreted any other ways. Now, when he said I want atleast my wife to be like me wrt forgiving nature...Just think how C trapped TA...she played with this same quality of TA...she said she forgot about he ditching her after engagement...wasnt this enough for TA to blv her if he blvs this is his character? He fell for C for this nature. Secondly after T shouted C thru phone, TA was not ready to lsiten to her and keeping on asking her to ask sorry to C...this proves for TA, C is a third person who was not to his close proximity though he claimed her to be his friend...if he thought her as his friend, he would have managed to convince C for Thulasi. Thirdly, C trapped TA by asking TA to fogive T for whatever had happend. Second time her forgiving nature trapped TA badly. Wasnt this enough for TA to go against T ?...Though he did hurt T, I would say this particular character of TA played a major role in him to turn against Thulasi. He started to believe C more, as C reflected his character like him towards forgiving people. Though TA's character and ego played a major role in this, he forgot about the good nature of T, rather the good deed and C reflecting his character made him forget the good deeds of his wife. Ta shoudl realise all these things and whole heartedly convince T and take her with him.

When I earlier said T talking about college fees alone is bad, i found it might be in diff angel after vjayam pointed out, but same time when we can find positives abt t but why dont we in case of ta also.

Also many seem to find fault with ta easily forgetting his good deeds...even if we dont like a person we need to find positive quality in them and take things postive..But ppl who find fault with T are equally finding fault with ta too but vicevera is not well seen...lol... and they do not just praise TA to just find fault with T. He saw T as his wife only and not as someones dter(Runaway mom's) is the biggest highlight here and he pointing out harshness was bcos T was his wife and not bcos of anything else. Things should be considered like T said...mistakes from both of them and corrected...

SUPER ANALYSIS Shubba and I somehow agree with this fully. As you pointed out for him T is an extension of himself and actually he sort of hurt himself too each time he hurted T and he sort of expects her to understand that..

Right, Ranu. Thulasi may get 110% and also distinction or honors as it is serial. Thulasi could not be awarded honors as per the college rules because she missed an exam. on the right day. The only thing I hope is college pei does not do some thillumullu with Bhuvana so that Thulasi is given lower marks and CP gets the top marks. In colleges, definitely CPs have been instrumental in manipulating question papers as well as marks. But T stole show in college also. She positively told she is for co-operation and not for competition as a student to CP. Let the same co-operative spirit help her in her life with TA also.

I studied in one of the top five engineering colleges of Chennai. The maximum mark obtained by even university rank holders were 85 - 87%. But in practicals we could score above 95. We have to refer 3 - 5 books for every subject. I agree about the dress code. We were allowed to wear jeans though. Mobile phones are not allowed. But in all colleges, students put their phone in silent mode. They send SMS and talk secretly in the class by bending down in the desk. lol. CP was too arrogant. No doubt.

Most of the colleges boys and girls don't sit together. But we are allowed to talk.
