Bex is (gonna be shown as) Stefan's ex from his Ripper days who hasn't really gtten over him (in the past few decades) & once she hears he's back to his "old ways" she comes looking for him hoping to rekindle what they had in the past 😕...

Khair, he's my take on why he's gonna go into full Ripper mode... If you wanna read it warna just skip it 😆... Anyway...So, Klaus & Stefan go to Gloria's bar & Damon goes there too (as we can see from the pics of 3.03)... As he remembers its were Stefan used to "hang" out back in the day 😆... When Stefan sees he has followed him, he sees his altercation with Klaus... Takes Damon to one side asks him why he's here... Damon says the exact same thing he said to Elena @ the end of epi 3.02... Stefan says he doesn't want to be saved & that there's no reedeeming qualities left in him... Just to prove his point Stefan grabs someone from the bar... I'm thinking kind of a similar scene to the one Damon had in 1.04 (Friday Night Bites) with Tanner & all...So basically... Long story short... Because Stefan knows Damon won't stop coming for him as long as he thinks he can be saved... Stefan gives in (fully) to the Ripper side of himself... Again, just to keep his brother & the ones he loves safe...

In doing so, we'll find out why Stefan really is important in the long run. "One of the big questions that we left last year with was why Klaus took such an interest in Stefan, Stefan specifically of all people," executive producer Julie Plec says. "What we really wanted to do was show the roots of Klaus' character as it relates to his family, the people that he's known for 1,000 years and been with off and on for 1,000 years that we notoriously know that he's daggered one by one and carted around in coffins."
