If I remember correctly, Bonnie was able to lift the spell for a short while. The plan was to get Katherine trapped in there but because she took Jeremy has a hostage, Stefan had to come in and pull him out. And due to that they both got trapped inside.

I don't remember exactly as to why they got trapped but I know that they were able to get in because Bonnie was able to lift the spell.

If anyone else remembers exactly why are more than welcome to correct me. 😊

Anyone Knows if The vampire diaries seasons are available on DVD or CD ?

Seasons 1 - 3 are now available on Blue Ray. You'll just have to look up the stores. Sorry I can't do that for you since I don't know in what country you live in.
