Chapter 31

Phew ! 31 pe pahunchgaye hum ?!?!!

All of a sudden his eyes flutter open and he got up. The clock showed 9 AM.

"What ?! Sumo ki flight toh 7 bajey thi. . " His heart thumped and he quickly threw the duvet aside and ran downstairs.

"Arey arey ? Aaram se !" Auntyji stated.

"Sumona. .Pari. Flight thi na aaj ?"He was panting badly. His chest rising & falling in rapid session as he waited for an answer.

"Kapil. . . Beta. . Meine bohot koshish ki par. . Tujhe toh pata hai na Dadi. . "His frown went deeper. His shoulders fell. His eyes shut as he sat down on the staircase. He opened his eyes only to let the tear fall. He felt completely broken. His hands fisted unable to take the pain in his chest & accept the reality.

His heart sobbed badly and tears rolled down his cheeks as he stared at the floor.

Auntyji sat next to him. Her hand ran on his head soothingly & the other held his chin made him look up.

"Tu ro raha hai ? "

"Itna pyaar karta hai apni Sumona se ?"

"Kya hogaya beta ? Pari ki yaad aarahi hai ?"

"Kuch toh bol. . " She sighed in defeat and he remained mum.

"Maa. . Mein. . " His voice lost somewhere. His heart beats at a slow pace.

"Accha theek hai bata deti hoon. . . Ja teri Sumo aur Pari dono apne kamrey mein hai. . " He thought it was a joke and didnt really react to it.

"Arey ? Sach mein Kapil dono apne kamrey mein hai " Pooja informed and finally he looked at his mom who smiled wiping his tears.

"Pehli baar apne bete ko kisi se itna pyaar kartey dekha hai aise kaise jaane deti mein apni bahu aur poti ko ? " She asked kissing his forehead & still there was a frown on his forehead.

"Ja tu khud hi dekhle. . " Aunty ji said and he rushed to Sumona's room.

The door flung open and he sighed deeply. With his eyes shut he thanked God for this sight.

Gently laying Pari in her cradle Sumona turned around to see those sweat beads on Kapil's face. His eyes till shut. She walked to him and using her hand gently wiped them off and her hand rested on his cheek.

He opened his eyes and kissed her palm before tightly embracing her in his arms.

"Kya hua Kapil ? Are you okay ?" Her voice held concern nicely dissolved in love.

He placed a soft kiss on her shoulder and she could feel his high heart beats. She knew what it was. Her hands caresses his back as she hugged him back.

"Damn ! "He whispered for this sudden changes in his heart. Minutes ago it was sobbing and now cant measure the happiness in it.

She smiled knowing the feeling.

"Mujhe laga tum chaligayi. . "He stated with a fear in his voice.

"Arey ? Aise kaise ? " She moved back.

"Aankhoun ke saamne har dam aapko paya hai. .
Dil mein bas aapko hi basaya hai. .
Aapke bina hum jiyengey bhi toh kaise ? " She rested her head on his shoulder.

"Bhala jaan bina bhi koi jee paya hai ?" And completed her shayari making him smile.

"Not bad. . Shayari acchi karleti hai aap. . Meine accha sikhaya na " He stated and she giggled.

Still in his arms she looked up at him and gave a genuine smile. A ray of joy coming from her teary shiny eyes as her lips moved and she spoke

"Finally. . . The mess is clear now "

He nodded with the same amount of joy rambling within him.

"Finally. . It will be a Small Happy Family" He wiped the moisture from the corner of her eye using his thumb.

He kissed her forehead and hugged her dearly whilst she considered herself lucky as she finally found 'The Man' for herself & 'The Father' for her daughter.
