do the parents really know their child?

if there is a communication gap between parent and a child, are the parents the only one to be blamed?

in today's episode kd's father beat him in the police station.obviously i felt bad for kd considering that he was being framed for the crime which he refused to do at first place.
people will blame kd's dad for his behavior and say he don't know his son. but how will he know his son if his son doesn't talk to him. the only thing he know is that kd is arrogant,unemotional,troublemaker he don't know that his son always stands for his friends,has saved a girl form getting raped and threw the drug in the drain.
but is his dad the only one to be blamed for all this. isn't kd himself also responsible for this kind of relationship with his father.
with respect comes trust. if you don't give respect to your parents, do you really think they will believe you?
has kd ever shown respect to his father.obviously he does from his heart but does he show it publicly?

IF that was the case with me...I KNW I WON'T...I think thats what happened when KD was small...His father didn't understand his dreams ..he ignored him...then why would KD talk to him...its no use...

iam not fighting for KD...iam just telling the truth...i have a friend whose parents are lyk that...thats why i knw..

i agree to you thay KD doesnot communicate with his father, he is arrogent and all but dont you think his father is responsible for this behaviour of KD.i mean when KD lost his mother it was duity of his father to take his responsibility and mould him into good and caring humanbeing...but i dont know b'coz of what circumstances his father dint justified with his duities and scoldiong and beating is not the solution for every problem...but hios father believes in scolding and beating only...this is the reason why KD Is soo arrogent and rude

i didn't said that its only parents fault but i think its more of their fault ...we child go to school colleges see the new generation new atmosphere and try to be like that ..as KD wanted to join Royal he did .. like this many kids think that Y cant we spend a life like them ..but this mostly not understud by the parents ..u know nowadays in the modern time there shud b no use of slapping or beating or like these things because now Kids aren't that small ..they r sharp ..and it hurt them badly ... and ya there is some prob from kid side too see thry dont share their probs with their parents and many things like that ...its communication gap ...

i started watching this show after 2 weeks so i will not argue more abt kd's case.

however you are talking about an extreme case in general. but what about those parents who always believe their children and suddenly one day they came to know their child is doing all the wrong lets say illegal things behind their back. all those things which they can't even think that their child can do?
are the parents only ones to be blamed? are the children mature enough to take responsibility for the bad judgements they have made?
