10 minutes later

Bihaan and Thapki got into their car and went to Saurav's place to fetch Aditi. They were careful not to be followed. They reached the house and quickly took Aditi with them. The difficult part was how to take Aditi inside PN. They were aware that someone was keeping an eye on the house and he might be back by now.

On the road

The unknown man was following Dhruv. Dhruv finally stopped at a restaurant. He ordered his food and pretended to wait for someone. He luckily bumped into some acquaintances and left after talking to them.

PN yard

When Thapki and Bihaan returned, they saw that the family was out. They gathered around the car and took Aditi inside without being noticed by anyone.

One hour later

Dhruv returned home. The unknown man parked his car some meters away from the house and sent pictures of Dhruv at the restaurant to Jindal.

Inside PN

The grown-ups were having a serious discussion when Dhruv came in. Vasu told him that Aditi is in his room, resting. After he will be back, they will tell him about Aditi's condition.

30 minutes later

The family told Dhruv that Aditi was unable to move much and is also having difficulties to talk properly. The doctor thinks that she has been drugged for a while but has to do some tests to determine why she is in such a condition.

As opposed to how the family had thought Dhruv will react, the latter stayed calm.

Dhruv: Did the doctor say that she will be alright?

Thapki: He is positive that she will recover but he said that she has to be admitted to the hospital. The recovery will be faster.

Dhruv: Jindal must have already noticed Aditi is not in that house. That's why he employed someone to follow me. We cannot take her anywhere now.

Bihaan: We will keep her in the house till we can find a solution. Thapki already asked the doctor to come here tomorrow morning.

Dhruv: Okay. I'm going to my room. I'm feeling very tired.

Bauji(To Thapki and Bihaan): The inspector is helping you. Did he find anything about that Jindal?

Bihaan: Not yet.

Thapki: Actually he told us to come to the police station tomorrow. He did not say why.

Bauji: Maybe he got a new lead.

Thapki: I hope so. Right now Aditi is not able to testify that she was kept captive by Jindal. A new lead will help us.

They discussed about the matter for some more minutes and then went to sleep.

PN

The family had a silent breakfast and then everyone went to do their work.

After breakfast

Dhruv: Bihaan, maa told me that you are going to the police station. I'll accompany you.

Bihaan: It is better that only Thapki and I go because that man from yesterday might still be keeping an eye on you.

Dhruv: Okay but don't forget to tell me everything the police tells you.

Bihaan nodded.

09:00

Police station

Inspector: Good morning.

Bihaan and Thapki: Good morning.

Inspector: Yesterday we received some files from an anonymous person. It contained some very interesting information about Mr. Jindal's business. That will be enough to arrest him and he will go to jail for a long period.

Thapki: Then we will not have to fear him anymore.

Inspector: We still have to verify if the documents are authentic. Only then we can take any action against Mr. Jindal.

Bihaan: But aren't these enough to arrest him?

Inspector: He will be able to get a bail easily. It is better to wait. It is just for a day.

Thapki: We will wait. Nothing wrong can happen in one day.

Inspector: I must ask you not to tell about this to anyone. This is confidential information. No one must know about this.

Bihaan: What about our family?

Thapki saw that it was the school's number.

Thapki: Hello.

Principal: Hello. Is this Mrs Pandey, Tina's mother?

Thapki(worriedly): Yes. What happened to Tina?

Principal: Nothing has happened to her but could you meet me after the classes end?

Thapki: Yes, sure.

Principal: Thank you.

He cut the phone.

Bihaan: What happened?

Thapki: The principal said that he wants to talk to me.

Saurav: Oh. It must be about the magazine itself. Someone from the bookstore called me and informed me that a school was going to buy a bulk of the magazine.

Bihaan: What a coincidence that our daughters go to the same school!

Scene shifts to the principal's office.

Principal's office

Principal: I thought that your wife was going to come but I'm happy that one of you could come.

Bihaan: She was busy in some work.

Principal: Actually the other day, I took a look at a magazine of your daughter. It was interesting and full of information. It will be good if our students could also read them. I was wondering if you could sell them at a discount.

Bihaan: If you are buying the magazine in large quantity, you will get a discount.

Principal: I know about this. But you could give a better discount since your daughters are in this school.

Jindal’s house

Dhruv went to Jindal’s house.

Jindal: What are you doing here?

Dhruv: I think that there are some issues that were not covered in the contract papers. I need to see the papers.

Jindal: Don’t you have a copy with you? Or doesn’t your lawyer have one?

Dhruv: He is currently out of town. That’s why I came here.

Jindal: Wait here. I’ll bring the papers.

After some minutes he returned to the living room.

Jindal(while handing the papers): Here, you can check whatever you want.

Dhruv took the papers and tore them.

Jindal: What did you do?

Dhruv: I’ve changed my mind. I don’t want to give my channel to you.

Jindal: You will tear these papers and the deal will be cancelled? These were just a copy. I’m not stupid to give you the original papers. Just go from here. I’m very busy and I don't want to upset myself by talking to you.

Dhruv left the place, thinking that he must find another way to cancel this contract.

Jindal(to himself): How can someone be so stupid? And I was thinking about making him run my whole business. Better to give him his wife back and get his channel.

He paused.

Jindal: His wife. Why will Dhruv try to cancel the contract when his wife is still with me? There is something wrong. First he called the police before thinking of the consequences and now he wants his channel back. Does he know where Jaidev is keeping her? Thank god, I told him to shift Dhruv’s wife elsewhere.

Dhruv’s room

The kids were in the room, looking curiously at Aditi. They knew that she was Dhruv’s wife but it was confusing for them to understand where she came from, especially Veer and Ananya who could not understand if she was going to replace their mother. Suman came in the room to check on Aditi.

Suman: What are you doing here? Let Aditi rest.

Ananya: She has been sleeping since she came. We want to know more about her.

Suman: What do you want to know?

Ananya: Why did she come back? Did she come to take our mummy’s place?

Suman: No. Actually she is your mother. I’m sure that she will love you a lot when she will be fine.

Veer: How can she be our mother? We cannot have two mothers.

Suman: Why not? Even Bihaan devarji has two mothers.

Veer: So both of them are our mother. This means double scolding.

Suman: It also means double love. Now go and play. Don’t disturb Aditi.

Kids: Okay chachi.

Just when they were leaving, Thapki and Bihaan came in the room. Veer bumped into Bihaan.

Bihaan: Be careful.

He ruffled his hair and let him go.

Thapki(to Suman): How is she?

Suman: She is better than yesterday but is still very weak.

Thapki: I’ll stay home tomorrow and take care of her. Maa and papa will also come tomorrow.

Bihaan: So quick. They are still abroad right?

Thapki: I told them to come here the day before after I dropped Aditi at Saurav’s house.

Thapki: I don’t know how they will react. They hardly talk to me. Maa is angry with me. I never understood why but when I returned here, I came to know that Aditi died. She must also be thinking that Aditi died because of me. Now they will forgive me.

Bihaan: Maybe they were angry because you did not tell them anything about your life. Everyone thought that you were dead. At that time you were angry with me but you could have met them or talked to them but you didn’t. This time talk to them, spend some time with your family.

Thapki: Bihaan, are you alright? You scare me when you talk like this. I feel like something bad will happen.

Bihaan: Nothing bad will happen. Actually when I was away,in that jungle, I was missing my family a lot. It was difficult to think that you were living without me or that I was replaced by someone the family hardly knew. I never thought how much you probably miss your parents and siblings. Thapki: You didn’t have to say it. Even I was thinking to do this once they forgive me.

After a pause

Thapki: We changed a lot in the last past months. Before, we never talked about such things.

Bihaan: We got one more chance to correct our mistakes. I will not hesitate to tell you what I feel is right.

Thapki: And I will listen to you and will also tell you what I feel is right.

She moved closer to Bihaan who understood that she needed a hug. It felt great to hear those words from Bihaan. Thapki never realized that it has been a long time since someone talked to her like this and she was happy that her life partner could understand what would make her feel better.
