I think Bihaan is only person other than Dhruv who does not mind her stammering. He does not talk over her or try to complete her sentences when she stammers.
He was so resistant as he has realized that Dhruv will be heart-broken. Dhruv loves Thapki and is not marrying her just for his mom.

I think it's all of those reasons, he knows that Dhruv and Thapki really love each other. He also knows that his family will hate him because of the Dulha exchange. And his mindset and thinking differs completely from that of Thapki.
