Friday - Kabadi finals; Vetrimaran wins!

Whole episode is about Kabadi match. First up is the toss; JC wins! Vetrimaran is not selected for his team's match even though he asks the coach to reconsider. He stands to one side. During the first half, the Ayakudi team is performing well, especially JC, and they lead 17-8 at half-time. At this time, Ila is cheering for her brother and gets others to clap fopr him. Ila also teases Vadivu about her team's performance. Vadivu says her hometown boys will win after the half-time. Meanwhile, Rama leaves her sister and friends to go talk to Vetrimaran. Vetrimaran is watching from the side-lines. Rama trases him and tells him to leave the town.

Vetri gets annoyed and tells his teammate they have to win! Otherwise, they will lose their respect before everyone. Vetri's team-mate says he will take care of it and leaves. Next round, JC comes over to attack and Vetri's teammate has hidden a blade between his fingers. He slashes JC on his foot. JC is bleeding; Ayya, Rama and Charu are shocked and upset. Ila is in tears crying for her brother.

JC gets really angry and goes to attack the guy. A fight starts between the team. Vetri joins the fray and tries to separate them. Ila tries to join the fight to help her brother but is stopped by Manga. Ayya finally gets the two groups to stop fighting. The umpire asks that Vetri's team is disqualified. Ayya says they can't punish one entire team for the act of one player. Ayya tells the coach to remove that player from the game and get a substitute.

Vetri replaces his teammate. When JC goes next to attack, he is tackled by Vetri and another teammate. Vetri grabs hold of JC's injured leg and tackles him. JC is in great pain; Ila is crying at the sight of her brother. Rama and Charu are very angry as well. Somehow, JC manages to inch forward and gets into his territory. However, when he stands up, he is unable to walk and his coach substitutes him with someone else.

As expected, Vetri attacks next and his team wins in the end. JC consoles his team by saying thsat next time they won't get injured and win for sure. Rama and Charu and Ila are all unhappy. Vetri goes to get the trophy and Ayya asks him what he wants. Vetri asks Ayya if he can get anything. Ayya says yes. Vetri points in Rama's direction; Rama quickly hides behind. Ayya looks at where he is pointing and sees JC there. Vetri says he wants JC to come on stage.

Vetri tells JC what his teamate did was wrong; he says JC's team deserves the trophy and wants JC to accept the trophy. Ayya and Rama are both surprised and delighted. JC politely declines saying he wants to win the trophy and not get it as a gift. Finally, Vetri lifts up the trophy and everyone claps in appreciation. Rama too claps happily and looks very impressed by Vetri...

FRIDAY- Kula sees Vetri-Rama

First, scenes of the thiruvizha are shown. Next, Muthu visits Ayakudi with gifts. Natchiya is combing Charu's hair and Ganga is talking to her when Muthu arrives. Subbu comes over to welcome her. Subbu and Natchiya ask about the gifts and Muthu asks where her daughter-in-law is. Charu runs over to get Rama; Ayya comes in and asks Muthu why she is here. Rama and Charu come back; Charu has drinks but Muthu first calls Rama forward. She gives Rama a necklace and puts flowers in her hair. Everyone else watches happily. Muthu asks Subbu if the necklace looks nice. Subbu says yes, of course. Muthu then tells Rama that once she marries JC and comes to their house, she'll also get all the jewelery and ornaments Ayya gave Muthu.

(Hmmm... what about Ila? I thought the mom is supposed to give some of her jewelery to her daughter? Haha, Ila won't like this at all!)

Rama then says she will not be coming over to Muthu's house. Everyone else is shocked. Rama explains that she would prefer if JC comes to Ayakudi instead. After Subbu advises her that she should go to her puguntha veedu, Rama reveals that she is scared of Kula and she doesn't want to go there.
Muthu and others are upset. Ganga then gives her sister some advice about how it doesn't matter even if one of your in-laws hates you; you only have to treat them nicely nad make them change their mind. Ganga says just like Karpagam has changed her opinion on Ganga, surely Kula also will change into a good person if Rema and others help him. As usual, Ayya and other provide jalra to Ganga's opinion and talk about how good JC is and how he and Muthu will take care of Kula.

Charu speaks up and says that even if JC is good, nobody asked Rema for her opinion on the marriage. Everybody just started the wedding preparations. All adults are shocked; Subbu tells Charu to shut up. Ganga interrupts and, after some more advice, finally asks Rema what she feels.Rema doesn't immediately reply and everybody else gets worried.
Ganga brings Rema aside and talks to her privately. The other adults (Ayya, Natchiya, Subbu and Muthu) wait.


Ganga again asks Rema what she feels. Rema says that before Charu also asked the same thing. Then, she only liked JC but not enough to marry. Now, she still likes JC mama a lot but she doesn't want to marry now. Meanwhile, Muthu is worrying about the conversation and says she will not be able to take it if Rema says no. Natchiya tells her nothing like that will happen.

Ganga thinks her sister is worried about stopping her education halfway. Ganga assures Rema that she will get Muthu and family to agree that Rema can keep studying.
Rema meanwhile is unhappy that her sister finds a solution for every problem. Rema thinks to herself that she has to hide the real reason why she doesn't want to marry; she cannot tell that to anyone.

Ganga gets suspicious now and asks Rema if she loves someone else. Rema reacts as if she got an electric shock; "No!" Rema firmly says, "As Ayya's daughter, I will not bring shame to the family, nothing like that!"

(Seems to me Rema likes Vetri but will not admit it to anyone... Also seems like Charu knows about this)

Ganga argues back by talking about how she fell in love with the Collector. Finally, Rema says that JC is a really good guy and she likes him and doesn't want to see him lose. She tells Ganga she will use the marriage to change Kula and make him accept Subbu as a sister. Ganga is very happy and says she is proud of her sister for her decision.

The two sisters go back and stand silently. Everyone else is scared and worried. After some prodding more Ayya, Rema says she already told everything to Ganga. Ganga says Rema wants to continue her education; Muthu and all are very relieved. Ayya notices Rema is not that cheerful and tells her to smile. Rema smiles. Muthu and Rema hug happily.

Next scene, Rema is on the bus. Vetri is seated behind her. Rema notices Vetri's presence and is very tense. Vetri talks to Rema and tells her that he loves her. Rema tells him angrily to stop the nonsense and that she will not marry him. Rema says that she is from a good family and though she is given a lot of freedom, she will ultimately only marry whoever her family chooses. She tells him to forget her or regret the consequences later.

Her advice and threats don't matter to Vetri. He just talks about how he doesn't know how or why he likes her. He keeps saying that he loves her. He says they must have had some past life link-up; that's why her kolusu and thodu all came to him.

Vetri tells Rema that he is sure she likes him and she is only hiding it for her family's sake. He says no matter what, he will wait for her. He asks her finally to tell the truth if she likes him. Rema says her reply is always no.

The bus stops at Ayakudi and she leaves. Veri runs behind her and gets off the bus too. She ignores him and walks away.

Vetri stops in the middle of the road and yells "Rema! I love you! I love you so much! Please listen to me!"

At this time, Kulasekaran's car drives by. Kula gets down from the car in shock and sees the whole scene and hears Vetri's loud declaration of love.

Vetri continues to yell to Rema. Rema doesn't even bother to look back or listen to him. She just keeps on walking away. Kula watches happily.

After Vetri realizes that Rema is ignoring him, he angrily kicks at the ground and walks away dejectedly. The camera then zooms on to Kula. Kula thinks to himself that he can use this information and cause trouble for Subbu.
