Fan fiction section gives more freedom so you can shift there

It's your story, whatever you decide we will respect that

Ok, so I understand your question is about explicit content and migration.

1. Migrating your thread from any forum to the FF section DOES NOT remove the original thread. Your thread can stay in the forum and you can continue to update it as long as you are abiding by the Forum Rules. (which means no explicit content. If your posts in the forum are found to have explicit content or are reported for the same, your thread can be locked/ content removed/ you may be asked to migrate your story)

Moreover, migrating will also migrate the views and likes on your story. Once you've migrated your story, you can request for comments to be migrated here. This preserves your story as books in the FF section are never locked due to inactivity (unlike threads in forums) and therefore your story/ book will remain active.

Additionally, if you tag the show name (Teri Meri Doriyaann) in the Entity tag provided in the FF section book title page, your FF will appear in the show's FFs tab on the front page of the forum and will pop up as FF suggestions on the front page.

2. Explicit content: STRICTLY NO explicit content is allowed on ANY forum.

However, you can post some explicit content in the FF section, provided it's rated X (for 18 + audiences).

Please read these rules to understand what is allowed in the FF section.

To address whether you should open a new book and copy-paste your story there.... you can do this, but bear in mind that your story in the forum and the FF section will be two separate entities and cannot be linked and therefore you will not be able to move your existing forum likes &/ or comments to your FF section book.

Regarding Wattpad: You are free to post your stories on any site you want to, but you CANNOT promote your stories by posting links of external sites here on IF.

I hope that addresses all your concerns.

Feel free to contact me or any of the FFEs if you have any other questions.

I think Fan fiction is the best bet but are u not able to post on the thread with Mature content and members only post

i think those 2 options should help. otherwise fan fiction is best. Watt pad is un reliable for me as user. I dont get notifications consistently. A03 is worse as we cant comment if we are not members and we cannot become members if some other member doesnt invite us. that will make lots of users unable to respond or follow the story

Hey Lizzy!

I had the same feelings, and when I started to watch a show whose forum was closed, I wondered where to place my writings… that was when I switched to Wattpad, where I could be as bold and explicit as I needed. I would only have to turn in the mature contents option.

I still need to migrate all my writings from TMD to Wattpad.

What you say makes sense. Wattpad might be slightly difficult experience now that it has turned paid app. I was also exploring Ao3, but there the tags mess up everything. The reader has to independently search for the ITV works, which might not work in my favour.

As of now, I am wondering, if I should leave this thread as it is and repost everything in the fan fiction section and update the rest of the chapters over there? I will of course drop the link to the fan fiction in this thread [if I can do it] for all the readers.

And maybe also repost it on wattpad if there is enough readership over there.

The thing is, I can write explicit as well as non-explicit content, but since I have never posted such content on online platform, I am not sure how much I can put within the boundaries.

I remember months back when I was active on this forum, I found a work was reported. In other forums, I saw some explicit works of similar style were posted in a thread - I am not sure how this works.

Wattpad sucks, ao3 is definitely better than Wattpad. If I am not wrong, we can get self invites [that is how I made my account] or I can request for invites for the interested readers. They definitely have a better interface for reading.

If I post in the fan fiction section, I will have to migrate the thread. Does that mean the thread gets deleted and the posts that will be excluded from the fan fiction?
