CourtRoom Chandigarh:
Angad was in the courtroom with his lawyer. Inder and Santosh too have come to persuade Sahiba. Yet, Sahiba was not to be seen yet.
Soon, Sahiba and her lawyer came in, and took their seats. Sahiba could see from the periphery of her vision that Angad had even brought Santosh along. Great, so he wants to use my mom to persuade me. Not happening Angad Singh Brar. That ship has sailed.- Sahiba thought to herself.
In the courtroom:
Sahiba had requested her lawyers to not bring up Seerat, and to keep things at mutual differences to the judge. The lawyers in turn told her what to standard outcome
After hearing the pleas from both sides, the honorable judge gave the following verdict: Both parties will seek joint marriage counseling for the next six months. After that, the court will review the results and come to a decision.
Outside the courthouse:
Sahiba was sitting outside, waiting for her lawyers
Angad try to understand. You cannot have two women constantly battling for your attention. I’ve explained this to you multiple times. Seerat has feelings for you and she’s making overt advances towards you. How in the world are you expecting me to tolerate this despite my warning you, despite my trying to explain to her. I cannot do this anymore. I refuse to play second fiddle in a marriage that was doomed from the start. Inder Sir, you too wanted us to divorce. You were right. I can only guide you Angad. The decision has to be yours. Just like in Mahabharata, how Shree Krishna was a guide to Arjun but eventually the decision was solely Arjun’s. I tried to explain to you that if you cannot set boundaries with Seerat, I will refuse to be a doormat wife. So in this case, I’m setting you free. Go do whatever you want and let me live in peace as well. How would you have reacted if a man was sucking my fingers after I hurt my fingers accidentally? You went ballistic thinking that I was pregnant on that fake pregnancy report and yet you expect me to keep calm seeing Seerat going all over on you? She’s setting up candlelight dinners, meeting you at the farmhouse, buying your T-shirts, touching you, helping you put on your shirt, bringing you food every single time. And on top of all this before Gary left, he actually left accusations on both yours and Seerat’s characters that you two are having a behind-the-scenes affair and yet still, you do not heed to anything. No, I'm done. I can’t do this marriage. I can’t have a threesome marriage. I don’t deserve it and I will not go for it. We will just have to buy time for the next six months for the meditated counseling sessions, but don’t expect that I’m gonna come back to you. Far from it, if you and Seerat are going to continue the way you are, there’s no chance for us.
Santosh and Inder were horrified to hear from Sahiba the extent of Seerat’s advances towards Angad. Santosh in her wildest dreams never thought Seerat would be the fire that would burn down Sahiba’s marriage. Inder was at a loss for words understanding how callous and passive Angad had been in this entire fiasco.
Santosh tried to put in a word,” Sahiba Puttar, par zara sun toh sahi”
“Enough Mummy. How would you like it if Sudha Maasi was trying to flirt with Papa?” Sahiba asked.
“Sahiba chup, ekdam chup” Santosh became fiery.
“Mummy, you can’t even stand listening to such things, but I have witnessed and endured it. Nahin rahi woh meri behan. Yet still you ask me to adjust? What double standards are these? How do I adjust when Seerat tells Angad she loves him and he professes he loves her as well?” Sahiba countered Santosh.
Sahiba’s lawyers gave her a tap on the shoulders indicating it was time for her to go. Sahiba addressed at the trio standing in front of her, “ I need to go.”
Inder broke the silence, “I cannot believe everything that I just heard. Angad why didn’t you come to me or even speak with Santosh ji. You could have brought Sahiba along too. At least then she would have known that you were trying to save your marriage. And you like Seerat? Why did Sahiba say you professed to Seerat? I mean we’ve all seen how crazy you went when Sahiba was declared dead.”
“Dad, I don’t know. I don't understand what she’s saying. I told her how I felt. Or so I thought I did.” Finally, Angad’s CEO brains started to work on thinking what Sahiba had just said. Because it seemed to be the vital crux of the whole matter.
