When television couples are cast in a show, the makers often wish that their chemistry rocks so much that the audience wants to see them together forever and ever. But it is not always the case. In fact, chances are that some of your favourite on-screen couples don't even look at each other in the eye once the shoot is wrapped up. And such an occurrence is not rare either.

Take actors Ekta Tiwari and Yash Pandit of Tere Mere Sapne for instance. The duo play husband and wife on the small screen but are rarely seen interacting with each other off screen. A unit hand says that Ekta is a simple girl from Indore and feels that Yash is always trying to make it known that he has working in a Bollywood film before.

"They have had arguments about scenes but they've never made their dislike for each other very evident. But they keep to themselves on the sets and avoid a confrontation altogether. It's good in a way ' at least they don't disrupt shoots," says the unit hand.

Tina Dutta and Nandish Sandhu who were married off in the show Uttaran apparently are on the list of on screen couples who are not so pally off it as well. The reason is pretty simple. Nandish is married to the other lead of the show, Rashmi Desai, in real life.

"Obviously, a couples needs are taken more care of than a single person's, even though Tina plays an equally important role on the show. Rashmi and Nandish hit if off almost instantly and they even got married! Their chemistry is very important for the show and our guess is that Tina probably feels that this may affect her presence on the show," explains a source. From demanding more money as remuneration to having tiffs on the sets, to complains about mismanagement, the sets of this show has seen been ample drama in the past.

Actors Hina Khan and Karan Mehra play a couple in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai but apparently they didn't hit it off on the right note since day one and prefer to keep to each other for most part of the day. And as the unit hand points out, there's no problem with that at all as long they play their parts with ease. The most problematic of the lot, insist sources are actors Arhaan Bahl and Pooja Gor ' the lead pair of Pratigya.

"They play husband and wife on the show. But off screen, Arhaan is dating Pooja's on screen sister. Both have huge attitude problems and are constantly looking to outsmart each other. Temperaments are always flying high on the sets and Arhaan is someone everyone prefers to stay away from. And since his girlfriend is also on the same show, it makes Pooja a bit uncomfortable and feel sidelines," says the source.
