Priya waited till Harshad returned.
Priya: Thanx for winning.
Harshad: Anytime dear.
He was walking away when Priya went up to him.
Priya: You never answered my question. Are you Anurag Ganguly?
Harshad looked down.
Harshad: No, my name is Harshad Chopra. I know your name by your school bag.
Priya: Ohhh. You look so like my dad.
Harshad: Well people say that there are 6 people in the world who look like you, so I may look like your dad.
Priya: Yep, that's true. You have to meet my mum. Please!!!
Harshad: No, sorry dear I can't.
Harshad started to walk away. He saw a girl, dark black hair, waiting for someone.
Harshad: Hey Taani, I'm Harshad.
Taani turned around to see a man who looked identical to Anu.
Taani: Anu!!!!
She hugged him, tears falling out of her eyes. 😭
Harshad: Excuse me, but I am not Anu. I am Harshad Chopra.
Taani: You can't be. You are my Anu. How can you lie to me?
Priya: Mum, that's not dad.
Taani: Chup kar. Gari mein bet ja.
Priya did as she was told.
Taani: Ok, if you were Harshad, then how do you know my name?
Harshad: Well Mrs Taani Ganguly, you are a famous singer and your name come up on TV, newspapers and the internet. And if you are going to ask me how I know your children, well you mentioned them in a newspaper article.
Taani: Ok, fine then. 😊
Harshad: Well I just came back from England,do you know a good hotel?
Priya: Come and live at our house.
Harshad: Well, thank you for the offer.
He went inside the car and sat down.
Taani thought: What!! He's inviting himself over to my house. 😡
She went to the car and the drove home.
Meanwhile, Tania was doing her homework till she remembered that there was one part left of Taani's diary.
Dear Diary,
We got married on 3rd March. After a year, we had our first child. It was a girl and we had named her Tania. Then we had a boy called Adi. Another two years later, I found out that I was pregnant.
Everytime I saw Anu, he was on the phone. He always looked so worried and tensed. Whenever I asked him, he never told me. What was the matter?
Suddenly, I started to get pain. They took me to the hospital. As the doctors were taking me into the Operation Theatre, Anu kissed my forehead. That was the last time he had kissed me.
When I had given birth to a baby girl, Anu came in to hold our new born baby. Then he got a call. That was the last time I met him.
I was all lonely. Everyone made fun of our family, but I tried to stay strong. Throughout these years, I have never found out the truth about Anu and I never knew what to say to my kids. I just wish that my Anu comes back!
Taani
Someone was ringing the doorbell. Tania went downstairs to open the door. She was shocked. Right in front of her was her dad. He looked the same.
Tania: Dad!!!
She embraced him.
One by one, the whole family came and hugged him.
Taani: Everyone, this is not Anu. This is Harshad Chopra. He just came back from England and needs a house to stay at. Then our little Priya said that he should stay at our house. Maa, you deal with him. I'm going upstairs.
Taani walked up the stairs.
Neelu: Sorry beta for all the trouble. Come with me.
Harshad followed Neelu into a spacious room, full of photos and decoration.
Neelu: This is your room for now. Don't mind about what my family says. They just miss Anurag so much, especially Taani.
Harshad: It's fine Aunty, I won't mind.
Neelu went out of the room.
Taani was upstairs reciting her new song. The song was heard from downstairs. Harshad heard the sweet voice. He couldn't ignore it and followed the music to Taani's room.
Taani: What are you doing here?
Harshad: Well, you're voice is just so besura.
Taani: How dare you insult me? 😡
Harshad: Me, insulting you? Well your singing is disturbing my work.
Taani: Well go somewhere else aakroo kahi ka.
She stopped. Taani realised that she called that to Anu on their very first meeting.
Harshad: Hello Mrs Besura-Gaanewali, don't you dare call me aakroo.
Taani came back to reality.
Taani: And don't you dare call me Mrs Besura-Gaanewali!!!
They both stormed out of the room, each going in the opposite direction!
