so i'm mad at taani. probably bc we know how awesome she is, that we can expect only the best.
i didn't like the way she kept saying that as a daughter-in-law of that house, she couldn't stand to see anything harm that family/house's reputation.... is really the reputation of a family more important than a specific individual of that family? in the past anu and taani have shown exactly this, that a family is made up of its ppl, and its important to give support to that individual when he/she needs it....this is the way to strenghten family ties on a whole and on a stronger level, based on trust and love.
where did taani forget robbie? i know she IS in fact showing concern for him. but what he really needed is his bhabhi/boudi to show some compassion. instead of all those instances where she scolds him and accuses him (even though she's right, and even though he was being disgusting). because this kind of approach just makes it easier for the other person to react defensively and with bitterness even if they are lying. IN FACT it makes the lying even easier.
what she should have/could have done is to take robbie aside and talk to him privately and softly. somewhere where there was no rush, and no third person. to show him her love and compassion. to first try to get him to talk about his pain and how much he had really lost when moulie left him. how he had done everything, change himself and his outlook, and give all his trust, for the one person he loved---who eventually just left him abruptly. it was tremendously painful. ...if she had done that, then robbie would have understood that SHE UNDERSTOOD his pain. once that level is achieved, then it would have been a lot easier for him to talk to her and even listen to her advice and criticisms without any inhibitions.
this is the greater lesson to be learned, instead of thinking that taani is still mahan, and robbie and family will only pay for their lessons later. ...in fact, we know this will happen, and we also know that while we will view this as justice being served, it will only given the person who was wronged in this instance (taani) more pain.
poor robbie, he's going to be miserable, and warning to the ganguly and ____ family, there are in for the storm.
AND anu's right. why can't tanni let go and enjoy the event that she's been wanting her whole life. this discussion only led to stress and tension for both sides. let them all enjoy in peace!
i'm really scared that the wedding won't go thru smoothly. ahhhh! i feel like we are going to be left with a cliff hanger on friday....
