You guys are probably right...he's probably just trying to make a point to them to show how different Taani is from Nupur...Taani uski pyaar kurbaan deni ke liye tayaar hogi aur yehi baat Anu sabke samni laoge kyunki Nupur bohut khudgarz hain and she is incapable of sacrificing Anu to Taani even though she knows that Anu loves Taani.
