I don't know why people think or ask such questions honestly 😆 i mean defending anurag does not mean defending harshad does it? 😕 I am watching this show for Harshad, if it was not for him i would not have risked watching another BT show ... but having said that in case i was watching despite of him not being there ... i would still try and judge the character in his or her context ... There are reasons for why Anurag is what he is today .... and that is what needs to be understood ... no one can deny that he is making a mistake ... but the fact remains why is he doing it? As long as i understand why a character is doing what he/ she is doing, i don't see any reason to hate him/her ... i mean i don't even hate nupur because she is in love with anurag and none of what is happening is her fault, any girl in her place will react the same way as her.

Similarly Anurag makes perfect sense to me and even though he may be doing wrong but his heart is always at the right place, which is what makes him adorable as a character. He is not perfect but he is so very real and not at all worthy of hatred.

Mages when Anurag was 15 his love for Taani was based on friendship and caring ... then they got married and sense of responsibility set in and he started taking care of her looking at how shehkat and bimel took care of their wives ... then he was punished and sent away ... in a much more open society with no one to tell him the difference between right and wrong ... then nupur walked in as his only emotional support and with him he explored what a gf/bf kinda relationship is. That is something he never experienced with Taani or never imagined about her ... i mean he never imagined kissing taani did he? So when he must have tried to rationalize it, he would have thought that what he felt for Taani was not love but pure friendship ... and love is when you think about someone the other way (physically)

Remember he told Subodh that "we have not met for 8 years how can it be love? she thinks she loves me but she is really not" So Anurag thinks that Taani is mistaking their caring relationship as friends to be love so he is trying to help her move on with sushant so that she can understand love involves much more. Because he thinks Taani is naive and innocent still to know this (physical) side of love ... he still feels what he felt for her 8 years ago, he still cares for her like he did back then, he has not changed, the only difference is at that time he was not aware of this aspect of love.

So in his mind he is only trying to help Taani explore what love really is because he thinks she is making the same mistake of confusing care as friends with being "in love"

As i said he is making a mistake no doubt but his heart is at the right place ... he is neither cheating nupur nor taani or anyone ... right now he is clear Nupur is love and he is loyal to her ... and taani is his best friend for whose happiness he can do anything ... he sincerely feels that when taani will move on she too like him will be able to explore this side of love, which as per him she is not aware of.

Of course he is wrong in thinking this but he himself does not know that he has been wrong for 6 years ... and what he thinks as love is really not what love is 🤣 Sighs he himself needs to understand love so how will he understand her feelings? Onu is messed up thats all but he can't be hated cause he himself does not know what he is doing

well i expecting alot from my anu...when he himself doesn't understand the meaning of love....but whatever he is....anu is a sweetheart....he loves taani alot....no matter how much he claims "I LOVE YOU BUT I AM NOT IN LOVE WITH YOU".....but he is in love...i agree with nupur...anu is obsessed with taani....24/7 only thinks about her....nupur is sensing fishy already in anu.....

anurag character is very real....he is not perfect...thats what make him unique from other characters of television...who are mahaan atmas.....even an arrogant character becomes mahaan atma after falling in love....Anurag Ganguly is just class apart....
