Twinj OS: 'Parenthood'
Imagine him as 'Twinj's Baby
Becoming a father for the first time was an emotional experience for Kunj like everyone else. The special treatment he provided Twinkle throughout her pregnancy had made him calmer and matured as a father. A smile still forms in his face when he remembered her pregnancy days. She used to become cranky sometimes and certain smells especially the smell of her favorite butter chicken' used to make her nauseous. She used to feel lonely if he was late from office and he had to listen to whatever she had to say after returning back.
Small things like doing the baby's shopping together would make the mum-to-be and his day. He avoided all the food that Twinkle wasn't allowed to take during her pregnancy just to make her realize that no matter what he is always with her.
He was more frightened than Twinkle about the birth. She was the braver one and Bebe accompanied her during labour. He kissed her forehead before she went to the labour room assuring that he is here for her, to share all her pains and to welcome the most precious gift of their life-their kid.
He was literally in tears when the nurse handed him Keyan'- their baby boy after 30 minutes of continuous praying and waiting. First, he was so afraid of holding this tiny person, but within a moment all his fear was vanished and he held the baby close to his chest. For a moment he couldn't believe this is their baby, a token of their love. Everyone in the family was so happy and the doctor told him he could meet Twinkle now. He just entered the room and it was the most incredible experience of his life.
He went near to her and she extended her hands. He could see the little droplets of tears which were shining in the corner of her eyes. He held her one hand and they both held Keyan' together. Thank You' was what he could utter. Both of them were in tears and he promised himself that he would be a perfect daddy and share the duties with Twinkle.
Twinkle and Kunj realized it pretty soon after bringing Keyan' home that their life has been changed forever. They were mum and dad. The job of parenthood' seemed pretty much challenging to them. Every day they used to learn new things starting from changing nappies to preparing milk for the baby.
He used to make Twinkle comfortable when she nursed baby Keyan.' When he used to cry at the middle of the night Kunj used to get up quickly to help out Twinkle with those 3.00 am feeding.
Keyan' is now 3 months old and it was midnight when he started to cry. Kunj got up quickly and took him in his arms.
Seems like my baby is hungry'- he uttered. Twinkle woke up by then and he handed her Keyan.'
Twinkle noticed that Kunj was lost in his own thoughts while feeding. She patted the back of the baby and he soon fell asleep as his tummy was full.
She carefully kept him in the baby cot and went to Kunj with slow steps.
So what are you thinking Mr. Kunj Sarna? It's midnight now, don't you feel sleepy?'
Gone are the days of being just Mr. Kunj Sarna. I will now be forever treated as Keyan's Papa' understood Mommy dear?
Hawww. You will be only his Papa, not my Sadu Sarna anymore?' -she pouted.
He couldn't control his giggle and hugged her tight.
You know Twinkle you bestowed me with the best gift of my life. No matter how many times I thank God for giving me you and Keyan' in my life, it always seems little- he uttered while brushing his fingers through her hair.
You know Kunj Babaji' has given me everything. I couldn't have asked for more. You have been an amazing father throughout all these days. You care for us so much and this is the best feeling of life. Initially I was so tensed of taking such huge responsibility but you made everything easier for me. Thank you.'
Oh I want to give you something Kunj. Wait a minute.'
Twinkle broke the hug and went near to the cupboard. She brought a box wrapped in a beautiful teddy bear printed wrapping paper and gave it to Kunj.
Open it Kunj.'
Kunj was surprised as he was not expecting a gift at this time of the night. He opened it and found a coffee mug which reads I love you Papa.'
I small gift from our baby to his Pa' just to let him know he is the coolest dad of the world and a goody husband too. We just keep him too busy all the time that Keyan's Pa' has forgot to take his morning coffees. I think this little gift would remind him not to skip his coffees as momma and the baby, they both think Papa' should never compromise with his habits.'
Kunj giggled even more and hugged Twinkle once again. Thank you Mommy bear and the little teddy as well for thinking so much about Papa.' Papa' will never skip the morning coffees from tomorrow as this precious mug will always remind him about the babies in his life.'
Excuse me Kunj Sarna. Did you just say babies? Well I think Keyan' doesn't have any sibling till now.'
Yes I know. But Keyan's Mommy is no less than a baby. She makes weird faces and she also has runny nose.'
Argghhh. I am not going to spare you Kunj Sarna. Say it once again and see what I do.'
Do whatever you want to. Twinkle you are a bachchi.'
You Sadu Sarna'- Twinkle started to hit him with a pillow and he continued to poke her calling a bachchi.'
There was so much noise in the room which disturbed baby Keyan's sleep and he started crying making his parents realize They are now Mommy and Papa '
