Ok so becuz of a mistake some of u were mistaken so let me clear it.
Kunj said no to going with Twinkle to a party and then at fear that something might happen to her ,went anyways but by himself.They fortunately bump into each other and start talking.They don't know that he/she is Kunj/Twinkle because they are wearing masks but feel a strong pull or connection with each other.
One other clarity :Kunj and Twinkle are married.They were childhood best friends and they got married.
