It was almost late afternoon when Twinkle woke up. She looked at Kunj who was sleeping peacefully hugging her. He had a small smile on his face.
Tw( in mind): God ! How cute he looks while sleeping.
He lightly kissed his cheek and got up. She looked outside and saw the weather was very pleasant with a slightly cold breeze and a light sunlight. She wore Kunj's last night's shirt which was laying haphazardly around their bed and her mini shorts. She made herself an instant coffee and thought on not disturbing Kunj's sleep. She went to the balcony and settled down on the couch thinking how her life had changed in 6 months. How they unwillingly got married, their fights and nok jhoks.
How she hated Kunj then and how she is not able to live without him for a single second now.
She gazed at the view infront of her. It was mesmerizing, the distant snow covered mountain caps, the trees and the river flowing a little away from road. She was lost in her thoughts when she felt two hands covering her with a blanket. Her face glowed up instantly.
Ku: Baby Y r u not wearing anything warm ? U will get sick. It is so cold outside.
Twinkle smiled at him and spoke: Y do I even need to take care of myself when u r here to do dis for me.
Kunj smiled and settled himself beside Twinkle and covered them both in the blanket. Twinkle offered him coffee from her cup and he took a sip and made Twinkle to have a sip with his own hands. Twinkle kept her head on his chest and tightly wrapped her arms around his torso. Kunj entwined their hands together and played with her fingers.
They sat peacefully sipping coffee from the same cup and enjoyed the weather. Even silence was so romantic b/w them. It was as if their souls were doing the talking. Finally Twinkle spoke up.
Tw: Kunj did u ever think that we wud end like this ?
Ku: Baby wud u mind If I speak the truth ?
Tw: So u will hide it from me ? Dont worry Kunj just say it. U noe na we have promised to share each and everything with one another.
Ku: Ohk.. Umm.. U noe wen Dad went into coma and we seperated, I had started thinking that maybe we wud never get back together. I was so consumed in anger, that I had thought maybe we were not meant to be together.. I had talked about giving each other space and I had seen how broken u looked, but I still dint come back to u. In anger I had even signed on our divorce papers that mom gave me. But when u came back to handle dad's business, I thought maybe it was babaji's way of telling me that we can still be together. So I decided on yet not giving u a divorce. And I am happy that it was my best decision. It really hurted me to see u so close to me yet so far. The sadness and ur eyes always filled with tears hurted me.. But my anger took over.. I so wanted u to come back to our room but my ego dint allow me to.Dad ne thik kaha tha, maybe I dont deserve u. U deserve much better than me. I have hurted u so much. I m sorry Twinkle.
By now he had started crying and Twinkle's eyes were too filled with tears. She cupped Kunj's face and wiped away his tears and hugged him tightly.
Tw: I am glad Kunj u shared this with me. From so long u have been hiding ur pain deep inside you. I am happy u vented out ur agony. And u noe na Kunj, I have already forgiven u for that. And yes I deserve a person much better than u. And u noe what u noe that person !
Kunj's face went pale hearing her last sentence.
Ku: And who is that person ? He said sadly.
Tw: So there is a person Kunj Sarna. The one who always keep smiling and irritates his wife a lot. And even loves his wife a lot. Does not live sad like u and does not think that he doesnt deserves me. Do u noe him ? I want him in my life.
Kunj face broke into a wide smile and he hugged Twinkle tightly.
Tw: Dekho dekho mujhe vo mil gya. The smiling Kunj Sarna.
Ku: Thank u baby. I love u so much sweetheart.
Tw: I love u 2 Kunj.
Ku: Acha ek baat bta.. How and when did u fall in love with me ?
Twinkle started thinking and made a cute pouted face. Kunj couldn't stop himself from pulling her cheeks.
Tw: Ummm... Umm Kunj pata hai aisa koi particular time nahi hai.. It happened slowly. Like when I was jealous of Maya and Vandy or when u protected me in that hotel incident, when u stood by my side when not even my mother believed me during Mahi's sangeet. Lekin bas itna pata hai ki I fell hard in love but u caught me in the right time. And I am falling more everyday ! U will always be there to catch me .. Haina ?
Ku: Haan meri jaan.. Hamesha ! He kissed her forehead.
Tw: Kunj mujhe bhook lagi hai. Can we go outside to the market and eat sumthng ?
Ku: Yes baby ! Lets go ! But before going out plzz change into something cozy. It is going to get cold outside.
Twinkle nodded and walked towards their suitcase. She threw a pair of jeans and a jacket towards Kunj who catched it and she hopped off to bathroom with her set of clothes.
10 Mins later she walked out wearing a black jeans with brown Boots and pink jacket ! By the time Kunj too had changed and was waiting for Twinkle.
They walked hand in hand to the market. They settled down in a cosy cafe by the fireplace and talked randomly abt anythng that came to their mind side by side having snacks and hot coffee. Most of the time, it was Twinkle bickering and Kunj feeding her too along with himself.
They then started walking in market. It was getting cold and dark so there were not many people in the market. They sat down on a bench entwining their hands, when suddenly Twinkle saw an icecream vendor at some distance.
Tw: Kunj mujhe ice cream khaani hai.
Ku: No baby, its so cold here.. U will get sick.
Tw: Kunj itna maza aata hai thand mein ice cream khaane ka.. Plzz lekr aao na.. Plzz !
She made a cute pouty face which Kunj cud never refuse to.
Ku: Ohk fine, I m going to get it.. U sit here only.. but I will get only one and we wud share it. And for God's sake just stop emotional blackmailing me with ur cute pouts. This is the last time I am melting seeing ur pout. He warned her.
Twinkle grinned cheekily and passed a flying kiss to him. Kunj acted to catch it and kept his hand on his heart. Twinkle giggled.
He turned around and went in the other direction to get icecream for both.
What they both had not noticed was that a group of men that been eyeing Twinkle for a while standing behind their bench. As soon as Kunj left they get into action.
