I scanned the forum earlier and noticed a few posts here and there regarding the episode today and the dissatisfaction of the tracks. I've prejudged episodes before based on posts and when I watched the episode myself, they were actually pretty good in comparison to what I'd read. And today was no different.
DISCLAIMER: Don't continue reading this if you are easily offended. I am not taking a dig at anyone or naming/shaming any individual, this post is general but if the shoe fits...
Okay so let me start by saying that you lot need to chill. Seriously. WE DON'T EVEN KNOW IF RAJJO IS ACTUALLY PREGNANT. In our South Asian culture, a lot of elders just assume that the girl is expecting if any type of nausea or faintness is experienced by the female. She could be dehydrated for all we fricking know. I would've thought you'd all know TEI by now. If I've learnt one thing from TEI, it's that you DO NOT trust precaps... Rewind to the episode where Usha called Twinkle manhoos and Kunj got into the car and left. There was so much backlash for that and for what? NOTHING. Turned out that Kunj actually ushered his mother away and didn't just let her go on.
That brings me onto my next point. The jumping to conclusions needs to take a chill pill. I've noticed this even when I was a silent reader. People are so quick to judge the track based on a single dialogue or scene. For instance, if I remember clearly, there were some annoyed posts regarding Twinkle hiding the fact that Yuvi was behind the Manohar drama and that it would lead to another MU. Well look how it turned out? She actually told him the truth and it wasn't even in a heated argument. Remember when Kunj slapped Twinkle? And how there were posts about Twinkle needing a new man in her life because Kunj isn't worthy of her? Again, it was an overreaction and Kunj, in my honest opinion, redeemed himself completely. Don't underestimate the CVs guys, they may test our patience at times but they know how to do their job.
The negative vibes on the forum is unnecessary. A lot of us come here just to chill and take our minds off our real daily lives, let's not create an atmosphere here that we all would rather escape too. I'm not saying you have to watch the show happily and accept any nonsense. Heck, some things annoy me too but please convey your annoyance in a manner that can be discussed. There is no need to jump the "I'm quitting the show, what is this bullsh*t" bandwagon every three episodes. It gets boring quite frankly. If you don't like the current track, give the show a rest for a few days, let the episodes build up and then watch it. That way you don't experience the same emotions you would've felt had you not known what would've happened in the next episode. It works. I've done it plenty of times.
On to my next point. Why is everyone getting hyper over Rajjo being pregnant? I get that it makes things difficult and complicated but shall I tell you guys what would've actually pissed me off? If Kunj had ACTUALLY got Rajjo pregnant. But we know he didn't. At this point, TEI is still pretty good and sensible (regardless of the insensible tracks). I know that a lot of people will argue that this is what every Indian serial is like and we shouldn't expect anything less. Actually NO. This is what EVERY fricking show is like and you should have no expectations at all, end of story.
I know a lot of people here have watched PLL. Tell me that A's revelation was not the stupidest thing ever? 6 fricking seasons and they couldn't even make A' someone who was actually in the fricking show from day one.
Plenty of TVD fans here too. Fandoms practically battled each other in the name of Stelena and Delena. For what? So that Elena could die 6 seasons in. Fair play, the actress left the show but her character was getting pretty fricking annoying to begin with. I was actually happy that she died.
Any Gossip Girl fans here? Yh no comment.
I could go on and name you more shows that make no fricking sense. Another thing with British/American/International shows is that everyone ends up sleeping with one another. One good thing about Indian serials - atleast in TEI, TwiNj will remain faithful and will be end game because Desi serials believe in happily ever after (unless it's a K series)
At the end of the day, TV is a business guys. TRPs matter. As much as we wish they didn't but they do. You can complain that they're creating stupid storylines in the name of TRPs but you will also complain when they be sensible, don't get the TRPs and then the show goes off air. Sometimes I feel sorry for shows because there is no winning for them.
My post got a bit long but the moral of this is that PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE guys. It's a show, don't raise your blood pressures and get depressed. Take it as it comes. We'll have good days and we'll have bad days - that's part of the deal that you accept when you start watching a show. As viewers, we naturally pick up on the bad things, but make it constructive criticism so it helps the show, don't make it negative feedback. Be a fan. Don't be a glory supporter.
Right, I sound like some old woman giving words of wisdom. Back to my tea and cake now. Leave your comments, especially if you disagree.
