The Tashan E Ishq team deserves a round of applause for the careful thought they put into their work. I could not think of a more fitting song for Twinkle and Kunj. Many times, I feel like the team assigned to music for TV shows picks the most romantic song at the moment and thrusts it on the couple. Tasha E Ishq does not do that, instead, it takes into careful consideration the lyrics (Bas Itni Si Tamana Hai, Aaja Sajna Ve, for instance).
Upon first glance, this song is obviously about having someone there for you. But, I think the lyrics strongly relate to very essence of Twinkle and Kunj's relationship. From Day 1, their relationship has been built on counting on the other, knowing they'll come through fro each other. Specifically, I think of all the crazy rituals Twinkle was forced to undergo (the cow urine, etc.) and how Kunj stood up for her despite not being as close to each other. It's so amazing to see how far they've come. They have become very vocal in their concern for one another thus the usage of this song is perfect
The chorus says:
Pal bhar thahar jaao
Dil ye sambhal jaaye
Kaise tumhe roka karun
Meri taraf aata har gham phisal jaaye
Aankhon mein tum ko bharun
Bin bole baatein tumse karun
Agar tum saath ho..
Agar tum saath ho
The way I understand involves a girl requesting a boy to stay because his presence makes her heart come under control, his presence wipes away her sadness, and that they can communicate without words. I think this is how Kunj and Twinkle are with each other. Unconsciously, Twinkle knows Kunj is there for her, he's got her (hence all the times she hugs him) but these last two episodes was when she REALLY saw that and acknowledged it. She realized just how vital Kunj is for her, that his presence is sufficient to calm her. I thought of yesterday when he didn't say a word and just put his hand on top of her. Even bigger, I think of the genuine affection and bond that has formed between them without words (I mentioned in my post yesterday that Kunj doesn't express himself unless he needs to). The fourth line really gets to me perhaps because the crux of this relationship is built on sadness. Think about it, while there have been light moments, Twinkle has had to deal with her mom disowning her, her ex wreaking havoc, her sister being terrible, yet Kunj has been her shield from all that. We see it more so in the recent episodes where he physically removes her from these stressful situations.
Then it says:
Behti rehti..
Nahar nadiya si teri duniya mein
Meri duniya hai teri chaahaton mein
Main dhal jaati hoon teri aadaton mein
Agar tum saath ho
This part talks about how rivers seem to flow in the boy's world but her world is the boy's likes, his love. I think this correlates largely to Kunj's personality- he's so easy going and goes with the flow, per se (hence river = flowing) so his world is a bit smoother. But, for Twinkle, it's not. Her personality forces her to take the weight of the world on her shoulders but I think Twinkle will get to a point where Kunj will become a priority.
It goes on:
Teri nazron mein hai tere sapne
Tere sapno mein hai naraazi
Mujhe lagta hai ke baatein dil ki
Hoti lafzon ki dhokebaazi
Tum saath ho ya na ho kya fark hai
Bedard thi zindagi bedard hai
Agar tum saath ho
Agar tum saath ho
This part switches to the male singer. It's about how the girls dreams are apparent in her eyes. Twinkle is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve, it's so easy to tell when she's not happy. And when she does not get what she wants, she's upset. This ties in perfect with the Mahi track becasuse her dream is to save her sister but because she isn't able to achieve that, she's upset. The next line, I connect to Kunj being so quiet about his feelings. I think his past with Anisha (Alisha?) has to do with that. I don't think the last lines connect much to them other than perhaps to Twinkle when she was so upset yesterday that she didn't realize until she calmed down that Kunj supports her so until then her life was painful so it didn't matter if he was there or not.
The next portion is:
Palkein jhapakte hi din ye nikal jaaye
Bethi bethi bhaagi phirun
I think this can correlate to two things: Twinkle's perspective on the Mahi issue and Kunj being there for her.
Mahi: The days are running out and she's getting for hectic in wanting to save Mahi.
Kunj: The painful days pass away really soon with him by her side and that she can relax even if things are crazy.
I have more to say but this is SO long ( ._.) so I'll shut up and go in my corner. I'M SORRY! I get carried away. If anyone makes it to the end, heres an achievement medal...do tell me what you think.
