Part Three
The next day around 8:30p.m.
Kunj and Twinkle were back home. Kunj got out of the car and went over to the other side to get Twinkle. Since she wasn't allowed to put pressure on her legs because of muscle tear, Kunj lifted her into his arms and started walking towards the door. As soon as they got to the door, it flew open and everyone was standing there. Usha, Manohar, Bebe, Anand, Nikki, Leela, RT, and Savi.
Twinkle looked around for Mahi, but she was no where to be seen. Kunj noticed this and whispered into her ear "Subha vaala promise bhul gayi Kya?" Twinkle coming out of her trance and with a smile on her face nodded 'no'
Bebe: Twinkle, Kunj puttar...
She got the thaal from Usha and Twinkle signaled Kunj to put her down. Kunj raised his eyebrows passing a message to Twinkle which was clearly asking her why he needed to put her down. But Twinkle convinced him to put her down for the aarti. Since she still was quite weak she just backed up against his chest and tried to put some of her already little amount of weight on him and Kunj immediately grabbed onto her hips to avoid her from falling.
The family finished up the aarti and Kunj brought Twinkle into the living room with everyone surrounding her asking her if she was okay and needed something, but she just looked at Kunj waiting for him to push them all away from her and take her upstairs.
Kunj didn't have any valid reason to do that, so he looked over at Savi and signaled her to do something.
Savi: Ok. Aap sab please bhabi ko thodi space deinge. I'm pretty sure she needs anything else besides rest and mayb bhai too right now!
Kunj and Twinkle blushed as the whole family looked at one of them to the other. Bebe put her head on Twinkle's forehead, "Ja leja apni biwi ko Kunj. Waise bhi ab Hume chalna chaliye gurdwara Gurdas veerji ka paat hai."
Kunj picked her up and started heading up the stairs.
Bebe: Rab kaare ki inki jodi aise hee hamesha bani rahe.
In Their Room
Kunj puts Twinkle on the bed.
He puts a hand on her cheek, "theek ho?" Although he could already sense what she was gonna say next.
Twinkle: Kunj... Woh Mahi?
Kunj: twinkle! Tu subha ka vaada bhul gayi Kya. Jab tak tu theek nahi hoti. No stress. No Mahi. No Yuvraj. No nothing. Sirf mein, tu, aur dher saara aram. Ek baar bol diya warning ke thor pe. Next time no warnings. We'll be shifting to Canada then. ( he softened up a bit more.) Twinkle iss waqt meri liye sabse zyada tu important hai. And I don't give a damn about anything else, so please don't make this hard for me.i know you're worried about her but right now you need to get better. Ok?
Twinkle nodded her head. She knew she couldn't win when Kunj used the emotional lines. They always worked on her.
He rerealizes that he forgot her medicines downstairs.
Kunj: I forgot your medicine dumpsters let me go grab it. I'll be right back.
He turns around to go to get them but the lights suddenly go out leaving behind a darkness. Twinkle tries to grab onto his hand but in the darkness is only managed to grab onto his pinkie.
Twinkle: baad mein le aana but please mujhe akela maat chodo. Mujhe dar lag raha hai.
Kunj sat on the bed "Twinkle Kuch nahi hoga. Mein yu gaya aur yu aya."
Twinkle looked at Kunj, her eyes pleading him not to go. Even in the darkness, her eyes were still standing out from the moonlight.
Kunj: ek kaam kar tu akhien band karke das tak gin. Mein tab tak wapas aa jaoga.
Twinkle finally let him go and started counting down "3...2..." She heard the door open and violently opened her eyes "Kunj tum ho?"
There was silence.
"Kunj Kuch bolo na. Mujhe dar lag raha hai. "
Still no response.
And then she heard it. She heard him. Whistling. That same tune from Goa. Twinkle realized who it was and slowly moved to the other end of the bed with all the strength she had.
She shouted Kunj's name a few times but he couldn't hear her from behind the closed door and from the kitchen.
"Mrs. Twinkle Kunj Sarna."
She heard him laugh. "Kitne ache se jaanti hai mujhe. Mere awaz sun ke hee pehchan liye."
Twinkle: d...dekh. Tu yaha se chala ja agar Kunj aa Gaya tu woh tujhe chode ga nahi." She shouted Kunj's name a few more times and this time he heard her. He dropped the food tray and medicine right there and ran towards their room.
He got to the door and tried to open it but it was locked from the inside. "Twinkle?" He banged violently on the door.
She also heard him from inside the room. "Kunj... Yu... Yuvi."
Kunj tried to break the door but it wasn't budging. "Yuvraj!! Agar mard hai toh darwaza khol"
Yuvi: tough luck Kunj. Sadly I don't need to prove a masculinity by opening the door. I can do it with the door closed in here. In your room. With your wife!!!!!!
Kunj's anger knew no bounds at that moment. His body angrily shoving on the door his hands banging into it. "Agar usse haath bhi lagaya toh tujhe jeene layak nahi chodo ga."
Yuvraj went to Twinkle and ran his hands through her hair before he pulled it harshly, putting pressure on her wound, and slowly the bandage started getting more red. "Aaa. Chod Yuvi"
She hit him with all she had. "Chod de Yuvi please. Mujhe jaane de. Please Yuvi" her energy was now fizzing out and the pain of her injuries started getting more intense. She grabbed onto the perfume bottle on the dresser and banged it into his head causing him to fall to the side and she ran to the door. She reached for the lock and pulled it more than half way down but Yuvi pulled her back from the waist.
Yuvi: arre wah! Kunj yaar, tere saath reh ke twinkle kafi smart ho gayi hai. Pehle toh bewakoofon ki tara act karti thi an kitni furti aa gayi iss me. It's nice.
He nuzzled his face into her neck and Twinkle was still trying to reach the lock , but she had helped Kunj and he gave the door a strong push with all he had and came flying into the room. Yuvi in shock let go of twinkle and she went running into Kunj's arm putting all her weight around his neck. Her feet dangling off the floor and Kunj protectively holding onto her waist.
Kunj: chup twinkle. Mein aa Gaya hu. Kuch nahi hoga tujhe. Chup ho ja.
He looked up at Yuvi, but he saw him heading towards the balcony. Kunj tried to follow him but twinkle held onto his arm tightly. He turned to look at Yuvi jump off the balcony and he lightly jerked his hand out of her hands and ran towards Yuvi. She slowly followed him there and looked down to see Yuvi looking up with a smile on his face and walking back into Taneja House to Mahi.
Kunj looked at twinkle and pulled her into a hug. She quickly responded and started sobbing. "Tu theek hai na?"
He got no response. "twinkle?"
