"Hum Kashmir jaa rahe hai? Sach mein?" Twinkle asked bouncing up and down, looking at the bus, waiting at the station.
"Mein jhoot kab bolti?" Kunj asked, smiling at her excitement. Twinkle just continued bouncing up and. Moments ago Kunj had kidnapped her. Well actually, he had woken her up and dragged her to the car, but that was practically kidnapping. He hadn't told her where they were going. It wasn't until she saw the bus that Kunj had finally put a stop to all her questions.
"Tune kaha than a ki tujhe snow dekhni hai. Toh chal Kasmir hi jaate hai," Kunj said taking hold of her hand. Twinkle smiled at the gesture. These few days, something had ignited in between them. All of a sudden, they couldn't keep their hand off of each other. Little pecks here and there, a few hugs or just simply holding each other's hands had become normal for them.
"Vah Mr. Sarna. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki aap itni sweet hai," Twinkle said teasingly, as they walked towards the bus.
"Sirf aap ke liye Mrs. Sarna," Kunj said, flashing her, his daredevil smile.
"Tickets," the driver said as they got in. Kunj immediately noticed the way the bus driver was staring at his wife. Pulling his hand away from hers, he used the same hand to encircle Twinkle's waist. Glaring at the man, he handed over the tickets. Twinkle didn't say anything, but secretly she was smiling. She loved it when Kunj became protective. They chose a seat far from the driver as per Kunj's insistence.
"Mujhe window side chahiye," Twinkle said. She was about to get in, but Kunj grabbed her arm .
"Maine iss baat ke liye haa nahi kaha abhi tak," Kunj locked Twinkle's wrist with his hand.
"Please," Twinkle made a baby face.
"Baby face nahi Twinkle please," Kunj groaned but Twinkle continued making it, "Thik hai baith ja."
Twinkle gave a little squeal, before giving Kunj a peck on the cheek. Kunj watched her get slide onto the window side, with a dazed look on his face. He watched as she bounced up and down on her seat like a child, excitement clear on her face. It was to see this joy, that Kunj had planned the trip. Twinkle had tried to hide it, but Kunj had seen how sad she'd been in these couple of weeks. As she saw chattered on and on about seeing snow for the first time, Kunj looked at her fondly. Meri siyappa queen, he though happily. As he began to sit, on the seat opposite her, another guy got their fast.
"Hello beautiful, mera naam Raj hai. Nam toh suna hi hoga," the guys, Raj said with a dashing smile. Kunj fumed. Who the hell was this new guy and what the hell was with his name? Twinkle on the other hand was having an extreme amount of fun, seeing Kunj's frustration and anger. Ab aayega maaza, she thought silently.
"Hi Raj. Mera nam Twinkle hai lekin tum chaho toh mujhe Simran bhi bula sakte ho," she said flirtily. Twinkle eye's drifted over to Kunj. His face was red and his eyes had darkened. Raj's eyes followed Twinkle's eyes to Kunj.
"Aap dono ek dusre ko jaante hai? Maine aap ka sit le liya kya?" he asked.
"Haan jaante hai. Yeh mera"" Kunj began but was cut off by Twinkle.
"Yeh mera best friend hai. Kunj vahan ek seat hai. Tum vahan baith jao. Main iss charming ladke ke saath hi think hoon," Twinkle gulped, as she saw a darkened look cross Kunj's face. Reluctantly, Kunj sat down on the seat Twinkle had pointed out. His head was spinning, and right now he wanted nothing more than to murder this Raj guy. The bus began moving and Kunj's head was thrown against the window.
"Oww," he yelped. Immediately Twinkle's attention was on him. Her eyes filled with concern as she saw the bruise. Kunj avoided her eyes and kept a hand on his bruise. Twinkle bit her lip. The bruise had nearly gotten red.
"Aap thik hai na?" Kunj looked up to see a girl holding an ice pack, watching him with concerned eyes. She handed him the ice pack and Kunj gratefully took it.
"I'm Piya," the girl introduced, placing herself next to him. Kunj smiled but his eyes wandered over to Twinkle. She was looking at them with an odd look. Ab dekhna Mrs. Twinkle Sarna. Two can play this game that you've started.
"I'm Kunj," he said to Piya, laying out a hand. The bus continued moving and Kunj and Twinkle continued to flirt with Piya and Raj but ever so often they would look at each other, hoping to see a reaction. It was like they were playing a game to see who could withstand the most jealousy. Kunj watched lividly, as Raj placed a hand over Twinkle's hand. Twinkle too looked uncomfortable but did nothing to stop it. She wanted to win this game whatever they were playing.
"Hey Kunj let's play antakshari," Piya said excitedly.
"Bas hum dono?" Kunj asked warily. Piya shook hear head before turning to Raj and Twinkle.
"Hi, I'm Priya. Main aur mera boyfriend yeh soch rahe the ke hum antakshari khele. Aap khelegi?" Piya asked and Twinkle's eyes went wide at the sound of boyfriend.
"Boyfriend?" she asked, trying to maintain her cool.
"Ha jaise ki yeh ladka aapki hogi aise yeh bhi meri boyfriend hai," Kunj smirked at Twinkle's wide eyes. He too had been shocked at the revelation that apparently he and Piya were now "in a relationship" but still. He loved watching his siyappa queen get jealous.
"Haan Raj mera boyfriend hi hai," Twinkle said. This time it was her turn to smile as Kunj's smirk disappeared.
"Twinkle"" Raj started but Piya cut him off.
"Chalo ab khelte hai. Main aur Kunj vs tum aur Raj. Tum dono suru karo,".
As they played Kunj's eyes stayed trained on Twinkle who in return kept her eyes on him.
"Okay last song. Kunj tum h se kuch gao," Priya said in an excited manner. Looking at Twinkle, Kunj began singing. With Twinkle came rushing back.
"Ham aapke hain kaun. Bechain hai meree najar, hai pyar kaa kaisa asar. Naa chup raho itna kaho, ham aapke aapke hain kaun,"as he sung, all his memories with Twinkle came rushing back. The first time he'd called her she'd been watching this movie and it was that day he'd seen the real Twinkle Taneja. Today again this song had brough him back to Twinkle and n that moment he realized something. Kamal hai Kunj. Lagta hai tujhe iss siyappa queens se hi pyar ho gaya.
Twinkle knew exactly why Kunj had chosen this song. This had been the movie that had made their first connection. She still remembered how worried, he had been hearing her cry. Her eyes widened as she came to the same conclusion Kunj had. Babaji yeh kaise siyappe mein phasa diya mujhe. Iss Khadoos Sarna se hi pyar ho gaya mujhe?
