So, the show has completed it's first week and I must say it's pretty impressive how the story is shaping up😊
The thing that stood out to me the most was how relatable Dharaa's character is. I'm sure most girls face a situation in their lives where they're discouraged from pursuing their interests if they tend to stand in the way of their marital lives.

Dharaa, too, is a dutiful daughter, and is aware of her responsibilities towards her family. But her passion for cricket is equally strong. So it's interesting how she has always been obedient towards her Baa even though she knows that her love for cricket is not appreciated by her. Little Dharaa's efforts were especially touching in this regard👏

Now, with her marriage already almost fixed with a guy who seems indifferent about her cricketing skills, I'm eager to see how Dharaa will chase her dream!

Overall, a good start to the show. What say? Please share your views🤗

It depends on how the creatives take it. Dhara wrote a letter saying that she will rebel & play cricket. She will be ready to break the relationship.

It has been an interesting first week.

I really like the father and Dharaa's relationship. The fact he never objects to her love for cricket and encourages her and supports her is nice to see.

I would like to see the grandmother be a little more flexible and give Dharaa a chance to at least try her hand at playing cricket to see how far she could go.

Passions for ones dreams should be given a chance to fly and see how far they can take one before having to give it up to settle for the mundane life without dreams.

Yes. But from the promos, it appears that she will get married to this guy. I can't believe I'm already so tensed for her😆

I really like the father-daughter relationship too. He tries to be practical but at the same time he can't help but feel proud that his daughter is so talented. But this dilemma of his has only put his daughter in a fix now..

I agree with you. Dharaa does deserve a chance to follow her passion. But Baa seems really adamant.. and I don't see her relenting to Dharaa's wishes... at least in the near future. Looks like there are a lot of hardships in store for Dharaa.

I agree, As long aas this is not a saas-bahu , super natural OTT show , I ll watch it😆

I guess, Yeh rishta pakka hojayega , nd she ll be married.
the guy playing the protagonist was also seen in "EDKPH" there also his onscreen wife was a cricketer and his mom was against it 😆😆😆

Hi Shruthi,

Thanks for commenting.. Even I'm new here.. In fact, all of us are new here in a way😃
You're right.. I hope it doesn't take the same route as the other saas-bahu (over) dramas. I'd love it if they continue with this realistic approach that they have chosen to take😊.

Dharaa's passion towards cricket is wonderful. Even the childhood part where she proves she can make perfect round rotis in order to be allowed to play cricket was touching.

The discrimination in this regard by the grandma was obvious... when it came to her son, she never dissuaded him from playing cricket even though she was struggling to make ends meet and could do with some help; she even buys cricket-related stuff as b'day gifts for him. But when it came to the grand-daughter, she doesn't allow her to play the game at all. Instead, she is taught and trained to be a 'bahu'.

Overall, Dharaa's story is really touching and the positive aspect is that her father has supported her up till now, which itself is a big thing seeing how strongly the grandma opposed in the childhood...

Exactly. They have intentionally highlighted the discrimination which is a nice touch. And it's so realistically done too😊
Dharaa's story is so believable... it could be any Indian girl's story. I personally know many young girls who were made to choose careers which were "appropriate" for them.
It's great that they've touched upon this issue. Now we can only hope that it doesn't get affected by the TRP rat race!
