Spring attached to GD men

Why do all the GD men bend backwards while standing and twist and turn soo much? Like they have a spring in their body. Bhide, Popat, Jetha twist so much. Can't even stand straight. I think they copy each other. Looks unreal. Nobody does that.

May be the director tells them to do that for 'comedy'.

On serious note, I think most of these male actors are from stage, so they had a different acting style. You know how stage actors depend a lot on exaggerated body movements to create comedy. No subtlety there on stage.

However after so many years on Tv they should have overcome that and depended more on expressions. I think Dilip Joshi and Mandar can create excellent comedy through their expressions. Others like Champak chacha depend on body movements
