First of all looking at the dressing sense of the bhide family, will anyone agree that these guys are poor ?? Now a days aachar as well as tutions are one of those most profitable business, bhide's character is shown stingy, not poor!

I know the show is an adaptation of story which was written somewhere in the 80s and based on a small town and its small requirements but I refuse to take the argument this is the reason of Bhide not joining any educational institution in this particular show.
First of all let me bring into notice that the show has been changed a lot to make it believable and to make it at par with the present world and its circumstances. Like the story which was based in Gujarat is now based in Mumbai. Also, the thousand of festivals shown here are not the writer's creation. Sundar as per the original story is the brother-in-law of Tarak's boss and not Jetha's as shown in the show.

Asit MOdi has himself accepted that the show has been modified to make it at par with the global audience. In this regard I cannot accept a man runs a coaching class in his living room and sustains his family in a city like Mumbai.

Same goes for the educational qualification. With due respect, every civilized society asks for an educated groom but all families also look at the source of finance before solemnizing their daughter's marriage at least in this age.

Coming to the fact that Bhide is Saraswati ji ka pujari and not Laxmi ji ka pujari I would nto comment much because the character is actually a hypocrite . He wanted to make it big during the mango business or during the email scam. Its only when is asked about a specific job he returns to the ground to say teaching is a divine profession. His classes must be in the morning or in the evening and he is actually wasting the most important time of his life sitting at home and discussing society problems. He proudly claims himself the ekmeva secretary of the society. Yahi kaam kisi company ke liye karta to paise aur izzat dono milte.

Shadi apne barabarwalon ke saath fix hoti hain. e.g. if it is an arranged marriages, Usually an engineer looks for engineer bride. Madhavi did not have a great career or was not rich that she would have got someone better. Again I admit this is an assumption from my side. But if everyone starts looking for only rich boys as husband material, then those doing teacher's job would never get married. To kya wo shaadi ke layak hi nahi hain ?

But anyway, I have nothing against Bhide joining educational institute. If he joins, good for him !

I am just saying that this would bring a change in his status and how will that affect the show ? The basic nature of this fictional character will change if he stops grumbling about money. There will be nothing to show on his character.

That could bea point why he is only a tuition teacher in the show. I also agree that generally in small towns or villages marriages depend on the social status of the family. I think Bhide had enough of family reputation to have a wife like Madhavi. But in small towns or villages in those days tution teachers didn't have much reputation. The price tag education system is the product of recent times only.
With regard to this my question was what possibly did Madhavi's family had seen in Bhide considering even after 16 years of marriage his only source on income is a coaching class in his living room that too in a city like Mumbai? What exactly did he have then ?

Shadi barabarwalon me hoti hai, I get that point. In fact I would have never questioned if Madhavi herself was a teacher. I think 'an engineer will marry an engineer 'philosophy is a recent trend . Most of the married women then were housewives . Also, it is not a denying fact that the basic income of the family rested upon the male members only. We were always living in a male dominated society where the women were restricted to household chores only. In recent times though we have more women joining the work force. Of course it was regressive but that was a different time altogether. In fact I have always criticized the show for not showing women as the earning members of their family.

Mdhavi has been projected as an educated women from a well to do family. That explains why Bhide could easily mortgage her jewellery to pay the down payment for their home. We can say her family was well established and had an educated , beautiful daughter to give in marriage.

Probably he must be earning enough money by conducting tuitions so he doesn't feel the need to do a job.Nowadays tuition teachers earn a lot of money through tuitions. Suppose bhide teaches 10 children and takes 3,000 from each child's parents then he must be earning 30,000 rupees per month.Madhavi's achaar papad business is also going well so paisa madhavi ke business se bhi aata hai. That must be enough for them to earn their livelihood. He could have definitely earned more money if he would have worked in an educational institution but may be he's not interested.

3,000!🤣Aap kis zamane ki baat kar rahi hain?Today tuition teachers are charging 5,000-6,000 per child. But u r right.Bhide must be earning enough money to earn his livelihood with tuitions so he many not feel the need to work anywhere else.I don't think he is sacrificing his career for the society.

If bhide is so educated then why does he give private tutions...n after watching the show its quite evident that their financial condition is not very good inspite of this bhide stays at home...why he does not go school or college to teach...???
Also in todays era...a tution teacher is no more financially weak...even they earn much money then people who go for jobs..then why bhide is shown facing financial crisis...???

good point .. he has always shown cribbing for lack of money , if he is as good a teacher as he claims he can get a goob job at a school or institution..

maybe it's a case of being moral .. as he always keep talking about being a teacher is a great thing .. ek shikshak blah blah ...

He wants to conduct his class on his own will, this is only possible when he can run classes on his brand name

Mujhe ek answer mila h...i think writers wanted to keep him in society always...so that he could stop tapu sena from playing..argue with gadas etc...n agar vo teacher hote to jaise tarak apne boss se holidays leke aajata h vaise bhide mastr thodi na aa paate apne school se break lekar therefore to make him present in every discussion happening in society he is made tutn teacher...
