for me it was toss up between pravachan baba champaklal & annapurna devi daya ... voted for daya ...she has been portraying hyprocicy for a long time now...

tappu ke papa meri maa hamesha kehti hein ... aur gyan bataate rehti hi ... maa kabhi yeh nahi kehti ki sunder ko do chaate marro

I dont think puri cast main se koi b aesa h ki uske lie pakhandi ya dhongi jaisa harsh word use karna pade..dhongi thoda sa harsh ho jaega...hypocrite is someone who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc.,
that he or she does not actually possess...but in tmkoc nobody is complete hypocrite...for ex. if they say that we shud respect elders...they them self follow that...dats true that at some point every mind it every gokuldham vasi leaves his principles but that applies to every member of society not particularly jetha...or babpu g..

Dia, I never said hypocrite equals to pakhandi or dhongi. I said its close because there is no direct translation in Hindi

Neither pakhandi nor dhongi can be called harsh . If you ask me Jeevdayaben and her children are pakhandis only . Its just that the makers won't show them that way.

There is nothing called 'half-hypocrite'. This logic will make the world free of hypocrites. Every person has his own approach in life which makes him a hypocrite.

For example, a sanskari son like Jetha flirts with another woman, a well brought up child like Tappu makes fun of his own teacher, Bapuji has different rules for his son and other members of his family, Bhide actually envies Jetha because of his financial condition and so on.

The characters are cute or not is a matter of perception but well they pretend a lot. That's makes them hypocrites. Now blame them or their creators is your choice.
