As a matter of fact, cooking is also to be done after bathing. so its kind of okay. There are other instances where he should not poke his nose. Like when Jetha is talking to his wife he need not interfere. That actually doesnt go with our culture either. Daya is his wife, so at times he can say her certain things which need to be overlooked the elders for healthy martial relations.
