Another year went by. It just amazes me as to how time passes quickly. But coming to reality, this year has been beautiful and also we got some great shock, a shock that every TMKOC fans would never imagine in their wildest dreams. But they say, what a life without hardships, and we all love Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah to the core.
The year started with the continuation of Gulabo track.. remember Jethalal caught in the trap, but in the end everything was fine, with Guabo marrying Pyare Mohan in the end, and Jeya's remarriage. Gulabo track also fetched the show excellent TRP's for the show, and the longest-running track of the show.
Then came the Sheru track. What a lovely track, which showcased the love for animals. And the name Sheru, if I had a dog, I would keep the name Sheru. Poor Jethalal so wanted to get rid of Sheru that he pointed so many bad things of keeping the dog in the society... but Iyer spoiled Jethalal plans. But hen we came to know, the track was for promoting film Himmatwala.' But one good thing happened and that was the fear of Gada family for dogs vanished.
Khote classes track. Konala sangu naka!' What a tag line. This line has become the face of this track. And how cleverly Popatlal carries out the sting operation and Khote did not even notice it. The most amazing track of the year. Next track, Tapu Sena got mobile phones. The track highlighted how students misuse the phone if they are not guided properly; they got their punishment both (students and parents), everything was sorted out in the end. And then,Tapu Sena raising funds to help the blind students. Their idea to collect funds was brilliant. They staged a drama to help realize the pain those students were suffering from, which brought tears in everyone's eyes, including mine.
Next was the track regarding how people use social networking in cheap way? Mehta was helping a girl to come out of this situation, but Anjali thought something else and was about to leave the house, but Daya and Jethalal helped her. Jetha saw Mehta hugging that girl, and my god Jethalal expression were so amazing, still fresh in my mind. But finally, the truth came out, and both Anjali and Taarak started living happily again.
Remember the track, where Jethalal was followed by a person, and who was taking his photos. Chalu Pandey mistook Goli as the person taking Jetha's photos, and then Goli told the incident to the whole society. The whole society got united and they finally caught hold of that person, the truth that came out was completely different. He just wanted the designs of Jetha's shirt.
Next was the Hitchki track, the track was full of fun and it showed how neighbours help us when we are in trouble. Mona Maheshwari!! Remember this track. Daya tricked that person who robbed their 1 lac rupees disguising as friend of Sunder. Jai ho Nari Shakti Ki was the motto of this track.
With some good tracks, there were some tracks that were not up to the mark, and that left audiences disappointed. The first was the track for promoting film Chennai Express. I did not love the track even it was for celebrating the success of the show. The next track was the track dedicated to the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar. I just feel that track was written in hurry after hearing Sachin Tendulkar retiring. The next track was the Radio Track, for promoting Krrish 3, it just felt so amateur, and the acting was looking so fake.
Now let's see how Popatlal marriage track go, but I am little disappointed with the on-going episodes, but who knows the writers manages to pull a rabbit out of hat.
And the biggest shock of the year!! SODHI REPLACED!!! The worst, horrible nightmare of every TMKOC fan, did not expected that. A shock that shook feet of every fan of the show. But the old Sodhi will always have a special place in our hearts, and no one can take that. I just hope that he returns, but the chances are small.
