Before Tarak Mehta, there was nothing worth watching during the 8.30 to 9PM slot on Mon-Fri,
it'll be either some B-grade movie / sas-bahu serial or boring breaking news.

Now Tarak Mehta gives a reason to turn on the TV during night ;)
