And yeah I got a proper title for the SS { ICEBERGS } .. and I think it is because of winter ( Just kidding 😆 ) ..

Chapter (-6 ) : When Everything Come To An End

" A Single Moment Could Change Your Life In A Manner That You Could Never Restore It Back To What It Was Before .. "

Gun shots ...

Two shots , a third one .. then a forth

[ SILENCE ]

I was glued to my chair in shock .. covering my ears with my hands from the loud sound , I was just few meters away from him ..

Everything happened so fast ..

I watched him .. as the bullets hit him -all of them - in his chest .. his steps stumbled backward and hit the table behind him , somethings fall down on the ground .. ropes , mobile phones , the gun - which he put there a moment ago - and the lighter ..

The table moved backward due to the force .. he fell flat on the ground with a thud ..

I gasped and I covered my mouth with my hands ..

I shifted my gaze to the shooter .. he was standing in the same place like statue .. with the gun still raised up - smoke still coming out from it's barrel - his face was emotionless but I noticed a tear fell out from his eye ..

It took me one moment before I hurried to him .. he was lying on his back , he was struggling to catch his breath .. I couldn't see much due to the bad illumination - it was semi darkness with just two lamps in a large place - , there was a lot of blood ..

I tried to save him though I know I can't , but I should ..

Calling for an ambulance was useless as it will take one hour to reach this place ..

After several minutes I stopped as he was already dead .. his face still hold a shock expression and his last cigarette lying dead between his fingers ..

I stood up , my clothing was stained with blood .. and so my white sneaker ..

Blood dropping from my fingers ..

I took a deep breath , trying not break down ..

" He Is Dead .. " I said , then turned facing him " You Killed Him .. "

The gun fell from his hand " I Know .. But He Deserve To Die " he was talking in unusual calm tone .. so I knew that he was under some kind of shock .. he just shot someone died , someone was family an---

A muffled cry took me out of my thoughts , I turned around and I slapped myself mentally 'God .. How Did I Forget About Her ?!!!! ..'

I ran to her .. she was struggling to free herself from the ropes that were tying her to the chair ..

Hurriedly I start untying her .. she was shaking and tears streaming down her face ..

After all ropes came loose , I removed the tape from her mouth ..

Before I do or say anything she pushed me away with all her force that I end up on the ground " OUCH .. ! "

She cared less about my fall .. and dashed toward him - taking the longest way away from the man lying dead on the ground - , she pulled him from his collar and shook him up ..

" Why Did You Killed Him ?? Why ?!! "

" Tell My Did You Do This .. WHY ??! " she was shouting and crying at the same time ..

But he gave no response , His gaze was stuck at the died body ..

She starting hitting him " It Wasn't Supposed To Be Like This .. You Shouldn't Have Killed Him .. You Just Ruined Everything .. " her voice trailed off ..

She slipped off on the ground holding her head between her hands ..

" Oh God .. What Will We Do Now ?? " her voice was low this time and I came nearer to hear what she was saying ..

" It Is All My Fault .. It Was My Plan My Idea .. It Is All My Fault Now Everything Is Ruined .. It Is All My Fault "

Her words seems to bring him back to the world , he got hold of her shoulders .. and said still in his calm tone ..

" Stop It .. It Wasn't Your Fault , It Was Mine From All The Beginning .. It Is Ju--- "

She yanked from his hold " DON'T TOUCH ME .. "

She sat on the ground , hugged her knees and start rocking herself ..

" It Is All My Fault , He Is Dead .. It Is All My Fault , He Is Dead .. " she kept on mumbling ..

He just stood beside her not moving and the look on his face remind me with a lost child ..

I wanted to go and console both of them , they were under shock and needed my help ..

But I wasn't in a better situation myself .. I was on verge of breaking down and my legs will give out any moment ..

I went near the table with a shaky legs and took my phone from the floor - as it fell from the table - , I turned it on .. and I made the phone call that I was supposed to do hours ago ..

I choose a lonely corner in the deserted warehouse , sat down on the dusty floor and took a support from the wall behind me .. I can see the dead body from here ..

It wasn't my first time to see someone dying or the first person to die while I am trying to save his life .. but it is the first time to see someone shot dead in front of my eyes , someone I know .. correction I knew ..

To see the life withdrawn out of him while seconds before he was all alive ..

My body shivered ..

I closed my eyes tightly .. I still can hear her mumbling .. I covered my ears with my hands ..

' It Is Going To Be Ok .. They Will Be Here Soon ' I told myself

I opened my eyes again and I got a blurred vision .. I look at my shivering hands , the blood has dried on it ..

I can smell blood , death .. I suddenly felt sick ..

Tears start to flow from my eyes and it made a teary lines on my hands ..

I start panicking and fear strike inside me .. I tried wiping the blood from my hands with my cloths .. my breathing was heavy and fast .. tears were wetting my face and made it through my neck inside my T-shirt ..

I failed to remove the blood from my hands .. my mind went blank ..

I hugged my knees and buried my face in between ..

' God Please .. Make Them Come Fast .. I Want To Go Away From Here .. Please '

[ 50 MINUTES LATER ]

The warehouse was full of people .. police officers , paramedics and people from forensic lab ..

Paramedics were examining us three .. the one who are checking me said " Follow My Finger With Your Eyes Not With Your Head .. " I did as he asked , then he light up a torch ..

" I Am Fine , I Don't Need All This " I said in annoyance

" You Are Under Shock .. Your Blood Pressure Is Slightly High , Your Are Not Close To The Word Fine .. And I Think You Understand This Very Well .. We Are Taking You To The Hospital .. "

I tried to object .. but

" That Is Final .. " so I fell silence .. I was grateful for seeing people around me , but of course I am not going to tell him that ..

Then he came in followed by his team officers .. it didn't take me long to know how angry he was ..

He was scanning the whole area with his eyes .. his gaze fell on me , if looks could kill I was supposed to be dead ..

He totally ignored me and marched toward them - him and her - .. I can hear him shouting at the Paramedics

" I Said I Am Taking Them To The Station With Me .. "

" And I Said I Can't Allow You To Do That .. We Need To Take Them To The Hospital "

I approached them ..

" You Are Not Going To Tell Me What Should I Do And Not .. I Am The One Responsible Of This Case , So I Am Telling You .. I Am Taking Them With Me And I Am Going To Press Charges And Interrogate Them .. " he said in a dangerous tone ..

" You Will Get Nothing Out Of Them " I said and all the eyes were on me ..

He narrowed his eyes and asked " What Do You Mean By That ?? "

" Well , Can't You See The Condition They Are In ? " I said while I am looking at the two persons who were lost in their own worlds and giving no response ..

I continued " They Are Under Shock .. They Need To Be Seen By A Doctor .. Then After They Get Well You Can Do What You Want To Them "

" Sir .. She Is Right , Mr. And Mrs. Maheshwari Are Not In A Condition To Be Interrogated " said one of this associates

He give me a long look .. " Ok .. Take Them To Hospital , After That I Will Press Charges .. I Want 24 Hours Surveillance On Them .. " he said

" Now Everyone Go Back To Work .. I Want Us To Be Out Of Here Before Dawn .. " everyone went back to what they were doing ..

He came to me " And You Ms. Come With Me .. " he grasped my arm and dragged me out of the warehouse ..

The area was dark lighted with the red and blue lights from police and ambulance cars ..

His grip tightened on my arm .. I can see anger flaming in eyes ..

" Have You Lost Your Mind Or Something .. ? What Were You Thinking ? " he said with anger

" I Was --- " he cut me in " I Clearly Asked You To Call Me If Something Happened .. Which You Didn't Do "

" See Now All Of This Happened Because Of You .. " he shook me up " What The Benefit You Get From Hiding Important Things From Me ?? Tell Me .. "

" Look At That .. Is This What You Wanted ? " he grasped my chin forced me to look , it was the dead body which is now wrapped and they are moving it inside a car ..

" Or This Is What You Wanted ? .. " he moved my head to other side and I saw them while the Paramedics were still examining them ..

" No .. I Was Ju--- " I start but ..

He pulled me harshly his fingers dug painfully into my arm , I winced in pain .. but he didn't care and said " You Just Ruined My Case Which I Was Working On It For Years .. You Don't Know How Much I Wish To Rip You Apart Into Pieces Right Here And Right Now .. " my eyes widen and tears start to form ..

" It Was A Mistake Taking Help From You " then he pushed me away and went off ..

Hair covered half of my face .. Tears start to flow from my eyes again , unstoppably ..

" I Am Sorry .. I Was Just Trying To Help .. " I whispered ..

He was correct , it is all my fault .. If I have done as he asked nothing of this would had happened ..

No one would have died today ..

I fell on my knees ..

' It Is All My Fault .. '
