Brilliant update...Magical duel was a treat to read..again...Glad with Xyna interference which helped in MSI victory...God knows if they did not plan her secret entry what will happen to sanskaar...but they won..for now...lets see what new challenges would rival create in future...Surprised with sanky confession...it was such a heart touching scene...he had feeling for swara and he finally confessed to her...lets see how things move on between them..hope swara agrees. excited for more swasan scenes...update more soon..love uTalia
Xyna's entry - with her shell crown - was the lovely touch for me - the water spirit and in her base element - apart from the surprise factor she is indeed their hidden weapon, I guess it her involvement was kept a secret because, Fican's bosses might not have dared to come to the battle as they did, if they knew that she would be involved. So even her sabbatical was a ruse - was it publicised or will it serve to prove that they have a spy in MSI?
Her sabbatical was her ritual for centuries now. And Fican's bosses must be knowing this info. Even if they didn't, Fican ought to know. He is ex-employee of MSI. I am confirming this because when Swara attended the farewell party, there was no mention of the magical war. And Xyna herself states that she came back to help her proteges in their first duel.
Anyway, I went back to read and it is Sanskaar who involves Xyna because he wanted to keep Swara safe -- while I admire his concern, it does shake up my corporate spy theory quite a bit
You are not very wrong in the spy theory. The actual series written by Shanna Swendson has the second book centred around a corporate spy. However, with Chimerical, I would rather take a different route and experiment with local scenery.
Sanskaar distrusts most of his colleagues in the story. Even in this last chapter, he says he knows people who would be glad to watch him die. It's this distrust that leads him to involve Xyna.
One more thing, Xyna is a water spirit, meaning she can control the water element, so what element does Sanskaar control, or is it that he is not powerful in any one element but rather, can counter any of them using his powers?
Xyna is an immortal nymph with ability to take a human form. You would be introduced to her counterpart in the Fantastical. (I shared that brief with you.) Sanskaar is a mortal human with magical abilities which make him the wizard. His magic allows him to call on the natural elements with the permission of elemental spirits (more on that in #3), however, he doesn't rule any of them.
That conversation between Xyna, Mervin and Sanskaar - there are still some secrets between them, right? But I am glad that Sanskaar did not keep his feelings for Swara a secret - that was a surprise but a very pleasant one. Swara did get her wish but then her insecurities and her stubborness - will not bode too well, initially at least.
He wasn't suppose to confess. It was to be a RagLak ending. But I kept you guys waiting for so long, that I decided to make it up with the V-day gift. Her insecurities or his, that needd to be seen.
I would normally be upset (which is putting it mildly) considering how open ended the story ended - but now that I know what awaits me in the sequel, I am excited - and cannot resist - when do we get an update?
I have been uploading old stories to WP and spending the remaining time in writing resumes. I think I will work on RagLak story first. The epilogue I have written for this can be one episode for that. Its going to be a three shot. So I can promise to get it out by next weekend.
Not bad, right?☺️
I think I am going to fall in love with Sam❤️ - especially the brooding one for III - Could you have a spin off for him - poor guy, gargoyles are such a misunderstood species.😳

It's beautiful, Nyna!Sam is a colourful character 😆 I will keep this request in mind. Lets see if you still wamt Sam after reading the third instalment 😉
Now I do not like it, not at all (sulk... Sulk... SUlk...SULK...😒😒😒)Okay in that case, I want a backstory as to why he turns from a lovable creature to what ever you are hinting at😈

Relax, Nyna... don't sulk, dear..I only meant after reading 3.5 books, would you still want more?😊
Oh yes, yes and yes.and if this doesn't tempt you, I will bribe you further, a cover for Sam😈 -Let us have him have a crush on Swara (that would explain the sulk in III too) and how he meets Kymeria (a pretty chimera who does not want to be ferocious and who loves flowers and fruits - a vegetarian one and who just wants to fly with sparrows and pigeons, who for obvious reasons are terrified, before they understand her) who teaches him that love comes in all shapes and sizes and in unexpected places. And I am drooling over the possibility - make this book 3.5.I will think up what could be 2.5😆
