So yesterday we had Swara and Sanskaar taking on the Thekedaar of Samaaj.. head on.
and the beautiful part is.. the entire family standing shoulder to shoulder with these strong beautiful warriors. Maheshwaris who were considered regressive, orthodox and conservative taking a stand for the daughter (in-law) of the house.
Take a bow Maheshwaris. you have my respect.
So the Samaaj had to concede defeat. but what about us. yes.. US. WE are a part of that samaaj too. we the people on various social networking sites. aren't we as guilty as those samaaj waale and media?
didn't we name call, abuse, degrade Swara (are are still doing) for daring to move on from her 'First love' and falling in love with a 'criminal'?
and intriguing part is.. the condemnation is reserved for ONLY Swara.
why didn't she forgive her first love and went back to him?
how dare she move on?
how could she forgive a guy who is such a criminal and tried to ruin her?
such a characterless **** to fall for that criminal husband of hers?
Swara DID forgive Laksh...but why should she go back to the husband of her sister? and why should she pine and mop and mourn her lost love for her entire life when that 'love' has moved on and found his own soulmate for life? and we; the samaaj are so happy for him and his love life.
how could she forgive that 'criminal'?
maybe that's because he has hurt only her.
not slapped her father, hurt her mother, humiliated her family and degraded them. had he done that she would have torn him apart.
that's Swara Bose for you. she will forgive anyone who has hurt her. NOT the ones who will hurt her family.. unless that person is a family.
how could she fall in love with that 'criminal' husband of hers?
may be that's because he valued her; her words, her wishes above his own self.
barring 2-3 instances when she insulted his love he NEVER so much as touched her. (or are we girls supposed to fall for those guys who push-pull, pin and manhandle us).
because he not only called her his princess but treated her like one. his princess, queen and Empress. not only as a part of his heart and soul but his entire being.
and why the hell is she so friendly with every guy?
three men.
such a you-know-who. pfft.
look around samaaj.. you will find many girls, ladies, woman who are friendly with opposite gender, buddies with cousins, have crush on their lecturers and hot guys in the college, drool over heroes on 70mm screen and tvs.
Character is not a pair of socks that you keep losing every morning.
sharing a friendly bond or a relationship with a guy under moral and legal preview is NOT a crime that you end up losing your virtue.
but we will reserve our pitchforks only for the girl. named: Swara. wonder why the menfolk get a clean chit and we wish them happy and prosperous and love filled life.
degrading the girl while swooning over the guys will make us hypocrites and the ones with double standards.
not to mention ... regressive and close minded.
i demand equality.
condemn all, lynch all.. or accept all.
but then again a girl called Swara Sanskaar Maheshwari who so calmly took on the entire Samaaj offering no guilt, excuses or justifications... doesn't need our acceptance.
because her conscience is clear.
her character is pure.
So we as a Samaaj can name call, abuse her, condemn her, lynch her or degrade her... she won't give a damn.
and neither will her man; her soulmate; her knight; her sword and her shield.. her Sanskaar Maheshwari.
Swara Sanskaar Maheshwari.. the girl who need no justifications.
So next dear Swara; next time those Samaaj walas try to knock you down just tell them to go to hell or even better don't stop your knight from tearing them down.
you really don't need to justify yourself. to any damn one.
