THREE

Lakshya was standing near the window, watching the sun shining bright. He was lost in the thoughts of Ragini. His chain of thoughts was broken by an innocent voice.

'Lucky...Lucky..Where are you, my best friend?'

Hearing upon this Lakshya quickly wiped his tears and turned.

'Here I am Little Master Shubh Gadodia, How come you are here? You must be getting late, Right?

Today you are going to come with me, you promised!' Shubh was innocent but was being authoritative here.

'Okay Sir!' Lakshya relied as in following an order.

Meanwhile Swara entered the room while searching for Shubh.

'Shubh do not disturb him, come out'

'I am going with Lucky today, please do not disturb di' Shubh replied to Swara

'Okay! So it's a matter of the two best friends, then I shall leave' saying this Swara left.

'C'mon Lucky, lets go!' Shubh exclaimed.

Observing the sun rise, a girl was sitting near a beach in Goa. She was as beautiful as a flower and looked delicate.

'Lisa...Lisa, So here you are! C'mon lets go, we have a grand celebration today'

The girl stood up and replied 'Coming Julie!'

Both the girls went to the Church for their morning prayer.

'Ok then Lisa I am leaving for the bakery straight from here'

Julie left for the bakery which was run by her Granny.

Lisa on the other hand left for her violin classes.

Lisa used to learn violin and with that used to teach the instrument to kids too!

At six in the evening Julie returned home. Her Granny was at home, she had not been well for quite some time.

'Hey Granny, How are you feeling now?'

'I am good Julie, feeling better. Where is Lisa?'

'Granny she had gone to some academy, remember she was talking about one which is offering her a good pay!'

'Oh yes! Lisa is fine now...! And I am very happy.'

'I know Granny she was in Coma for 2 years and then to bring back to her in the normal life it took 2 more years. Still sometimes I feel there is something missing in her life.'

'Julie, you know she doesn't remember anything about her past and this is what haunts her at times.'

'I know Granny, but I don't care because she is a sister to me and we are a sweet small family. We tried our level best and this is what we could do.'

'Hey Granny, Julie I am back home.' Lisa returned home and was sounding really happy.

'Happy b'day Granny, and here is the cake.' Lisa exclaimed.

'Oh yes! I was waiting for you Lisa. See here I have a present for her' Julie took out a box wrapped as a gift.

'Both of you remembered?' Granny seemed happy.

'Granny how could we forget such a special day!' both Lisa and Julie looked at each other and smiled.

The b'day celebrations went on throughout the night with just 3 of them.

'I love you my children!' Granny hugged both, tears rolled down her eyes.

'We love you too Granny, you are our life' Both hugged her back.

(Lisa was Ragini, she was badly injured so she was brought by Catherine and Julie to Mumbai, where she got operated for 2 years while they lived in Goa. The Church trust took care of all the hospital formalities related to Ragini. Although Ragini was saved from that deadly accident, she remembered nothing. She had to undergo counselling which went on for 1 year and she took another 1 year to get back to the normal life and these 4 years passed leading to a new identity)

The next morning:

'Lisa, you did not tell about your meeting. How was it?' Julie enquired

'Good but...' Lisa stopped

'But what?'

'Julie, they are asking me to join their branch which is in Kolkata and I don't want to go to a new place.'

'New place? What's so new about Kolkata Lisa? You know we found you there and we have our relatives in Howrah'

'Julie, you know, I don't like going to new places, let me be where I am. I really have no strength to face anything. I went through a deadly accident, I don't know why? I don't want to know also. I have no strength to face anything. I am happy here in Goa with you and Granny. We are living a beautiful life here. I don't know what complications I had in my earlier life, that I was so brutally attacked. I agree that I feel incomplete. Even though I am happy still I feel something missing. I don't know why? But...'

'But...but...but...you want to run away...right Lisa?'

'Granny!!' both Julie and Lisa realised that Granny was listening to their conversation.

'You can't run like this. If you come across your past you'll get many answers.'

'That's what I am trying to explain to Lisa, but she isn't listening to me...Now you only make her understand Granny'

'What if nobody wants me there?' Lisa stood up questioning.

'What if they want you back? What if somebody there had been waiting for you for all these years?' Granny sounded a little arrogant just to make Lisa realise that she needs to fight with her fears.

'Julie, pack your bags and Lisa's too. We are going to Howrah.' Granny ordered.

...

Lisa, Julie and Granny reached Howrah. Granny was firm, she realised that this was God's signal to her. She was sure that now she will be able to re-unite Lisa with her family.

Granny took Lisa and Julie to the house where she used to live in her childhood. It was after marriage that she had got settled in Goa.

At night when Lisa was asleep, Granny went to talk to Julie,

Granny: Julie, see we are here for two reasons, first is Lisa's job here as a music teacher in the school and second one is that we have to find out Lisa's family. We can't let her live like this unknown of her true identity.

Julie: I know Granny once we find her family and get assured we can go back to Goa peacefully. But I'll miss my Lisa a lot.

Granny: I'll miss her too, but she won't be far from us whenever we'll feel like we'll come and meet her.

Granny and Julie hugged each other.

Granny: I am going to join Joseph's flower shop here.

Julie: Ok Granny, I'll also accompany you to Joseph uncle's shop till the time we are here.

The next morning Lisa got up. She went straight away to the kitchen and hugged Granny who was preparing breakfast for her.

Lisa: I know Granny you are here just for me and I promise you I'll never let you down.

Granny: I know my child.

Both hugged.

Lisa got ready and left for the school. She was nervous as it was her first day.

In the School:

A bunch of students of third standard were seen talking, 'Hey there is a new violin teacher in the school, she looks pretty and is really very soft spoken'

Shubh who was passing over heard the conversation and asked his friend who was accompanying him,' When will we get to learn instruments?'

To which his friend replied, It's when once we enter the first standard'

Shubh: I am going to learn violin then, the new teacher looks like a fairy she won't scold us too.

It was recess time when Shubh bumped into Lisa, Good Morning Miss, I am Shubh Gadodia'

Lisa smiled and replied Good Morning!'

Shubh: Miss I want to learn violin but as per school rules I can learn it once I enter first standard but I can't wait for 2 years.

Lisa (smiles): So, what do want Shubh.

Shubh: Miss, Can you teach me violin after school gets over?

Lisa: You are such a small kid but very ambitious about music.

Shubh: My sister too is very much into music and I am just like her but she plays guitar and I want to learn a different instrument so I have chosen violin.

Please say yes.

Lisa: Ok! But I need to talk to your parents.

Shubh: Parents? Talk to my friend Lucky.

Lisa: Your friend? No I need to talk to someone elder to you who can take up the responsibility.

Shubh: Lucky is no kid. It's just that he understands me well than my parents. I am sure ma and baba won't allow me but Lucky will understand and will also make them understand.

The bell rand indicating that the recess was over.

Shubh: Miss I need to go now, please meet me at dispersal time near the exit gate.

Shubh went running to his class room.

Lisa (thinking to herself): Such a mature kid but he is too cute.

During dispersal time

Lisa was leaving for home when she remembered Shubh's words to meet her at the gate.

So before leaving she went to the exit gate.

Laksh was standing near the gate waiting for Shubh as he promised Shubh that he'd come to pick him up. As he was waiting for Shubh he realised the presence of Ragini. He closed his eyes to feel it. It was a different feeling, feeling of Ragini being too close to him. He was so lost in the feeling that he whispered RAGINII.

Just then Lisa turned around, she noticed Laksh who was in a black blazer but was facing the other direction. She could sense something but was unable to understand. Just then Lisa was called by a fellow teacher and she went to her.

Shubh came running to Laksh and hugged him, this broke Laksh's chain of thoughts about Ragini.

Laksh: Hi little master, So how was your day?

Shubh: Great!

Laksh: You are looking too happy.

Shubh: Yes I am.

Laksh: Good! Let's leave now.

Shubh: No, not now. I want you to meet the fairy.

Laksh: Fairy?

Shubh: Oops, Sorry Lucky, she is my new violin teacher and is very sweet. I have asked her to teach me the instrument after school hours, so you have to talk to her about the same and then convince ma, baba too.

Laksh: Shubh, no..not me.

Shubh: Why not? You are my only hope otherwise I'll have to wait for 2 more years.

Laksh: Ok! But where is she?

Shubh: I saw her right here. Please help me find her.

Laksh: Shubh, how can I? I don't know her.

Shubh: I told you she looks like a fairy. Ok wait she is wearing a beautiful white dress and has her hair open.

Laksh: Shubh, what is this now? How will we find her?

Shubh: I am little but you are tall enough, you'll be able to scan her in this crowd. Just remember she looks like a fairy and is wearing a white dress. Please find her for me.

Laksh and Shubh were holding hands and were looking for the violin teacher when Laksh's eyes fell on a beautiful girl in white dress. Laksh was lost on seeing her, his eyes got filled with tears he couldn't believe, he couldn't believe his sight. His Ragini, his Ragini...she was there right in front of his eyes. He stood as a statue. Ragini (Lisa) was approaching them looking at Shubh. Shubh smiled seeing Lisa coming.

Lisa was right up there in front of them. She sat on her knees in order to talk to Shubh. She had still not noticed Laksh.

Ragini (Lisa): So, I am here as I promised. Where is your friend Lucky?

Shubh: Right here Miss.

Shubh who was holding Laksh's hands pulled his hands in order to make him attentive to talk to his teacher.

Laksh due to the pull of hand came back to present and realise that it wasn't a dream but Ragini was there in front of him all fit and fine.

Ragini (Lisa) stood up in order to talk to Laksh when Shubh loosened his grip and went up to his teacher to introduce her to his best friend.

Laksh was just looking at his Ragini with teary eyes and when Shubh was about to introduce her, Laksh came forward and immediately hugged her. It was a tight hug, tight enough to make Ragini realise that this man loved her immensely and had been waiting for her. Laksh's hug was so tight as if he didn't want to lose Ragini, as if her feared that if he loosens the hug then he might lose his Ragini which he could not afford.

Looking at them the little Shubh hugged them.

Little did he know that he re-united the long lost lovers.

PS: I hope this isn't disappointing. Since i am a little busy i could come up with only this. Sorry in advance.
