After the truth of fake pregnancy was out, Ragini-Lakshya were not considered as members of the Maheshwari family. Swara tried to sort out the things but all in vain. Ragini was going through cold vibes of all the family members especially the elders and Lakshya's position was no better. But since he was the son, the mothers eventually were not that harsh on him as they were on Ragini.
It was Sharmishtha's godbharayi and all preparations were done by Swara and Ragini. Dadi and the Maheshwari ladies eventually accepted Sharmishtha's pregnancy, although they were not happy.
But this was not the only thing, something dangerous was getting unnoticed. He was back, back to take revenge from Lakshya for what Lakshya did to his family especially his sister and his only aim was to hurt Lakshya not physically but emotionally, mentally. So he had his eye on Ragini, he wanted to destroy Ragini in order to destroy Lakshya's identity. Yes he was Kartik, he was out of the police's clutches and had become thirsty for his revenge. To satisfy his search all he wanted was blood.
That day of Sharmishtha's godbharayi, it was raining heavily outside and Kartik was waiting for that one chance. He had been stalking Ragini for months and was aware of the happenings. Ragini was facing cold vibes throughout the function. Lakshya could sense that but was not able to do anything for her. He was cursing himself for not being able to keep his bachcha' happy. He had pain in his eyes on seeing Ragini like this. Ragini and Lakshya accepted this as the punishment for they played with the feelings of their family.
Ragini was being strong in front of Lakshya but was literally broken. She could not take this anymore but was not letting Lakshya know it. She was so broken that she went running out of the function unnoticed as everybody was busy celebrating.
And as Ragini was out of the shell, Kartik used this opportunity and kidnapped her.
Ragini was unconscious, he was mad. He took Ragini out of the car, brought her back to senses, made her go through the past incidences. He pushed her hard, Ragini fell down. Ragini was hurt and was in pain unable to stand, just then Kartik who was on the driver's seat drove her car on Ragini. Ragini got badly injured, all this was happening near a cliff. Ragini's state was similar to that of a person on the death bed. She was struggling. But that one blow made her fall off the cliff.
Kartik was successful, he was happy. Only thing on his mind was his revenge and he succeeded in it.
He dropped in a message to Lakshya:
Your life has come to a standstill Mr. Lakshya Maheshwari, the one who was your saviour is no more, your Ragini is dead'
Lakshya on the other hand was tensed, he could not see his Ragini anywhere in the function. He was trying to call Ragini and out of frustration threw his phone.
He went out, nobody bothered about them and he was not bothered about anyone but Ragini.
He was out in that heavy rain and was searching for Ragini like mad. He was literally acting insane. He was not able to trace Ragini.
A shattred Lakshya reached the venue, where some were worried about both Ragini and Lakshya. On seeing Lakshya everyone was shocked, Swara came running to Lakshya.
Swara: What happened Lakshya, where is Ragini?
Sanskar: Is everything alright.
A broken Lakshya cried loudly and fell on his knees.
'I don't know', he shouted.
She is missing, thank you all for breaking my Ragini, for giving her as much pain as you all could. If anything happens to her, I am not going to leave anybody. Oh God! Please bring my Ragini back to me, I swear I will keep her happy and take her away from these people'
Everybody was shocked and Lakshya was fuming with anger and was helpless at the same time.
