"Swara you okay?" Ragini asked seeing Swara lost in her thought. She was worried for her sister; she has been lost since she came down the terrace with Sanskaar following her. And she knew something went wrong between them. Her tear-stained cheeks which she tried hard to cover-up with the extra make-up she had worn and Sanskaar's red eyes were the proof something had between them and that to a major fall out! Swara still hadn't answered her, she was gazing to the open sky in front her and after a period of time she would bring her eyes down to see the butterfly-cut diamond ring which was situated in her middle finger. Ragini decided that it will be best for her to give some space to her sister before they discussed about that matter or when Swara will be ready to tell herself. With that though Ragini left the room giving her sister much needed space to ease her mind.

Without and warning, Laksh opened Sanskaar's room door and listening to the clicking sound of the door he spontaneously shuffled the photograph under his pillow and scowled at him.
"There are some manners when you enter someone's room, you know" Sanksaar said efficiently making the pillow hide from his best friend's eyes
"There are manners? Oh, I wasn't knowing then" Laksh said plopping on the bed making himself comfortable
"Should I make you learn?" Sanskaar said hitting him at his back of head
"could you stop doing that?" Laksh said in a bit irritated tone
"Stop doing what?" Sanskaar replied back in mischievous tone while his eyes betrayed his tone
"Why even you try to pretend in-front of me if you just can't?" Laksh said taking Sanskaar a back, he didn't understand how the joy mood turned into a serious mood. He nervously sat down in his position making sure Laksh couldn't sense it but he was so wrong! Laksh is his best-friend and he knows that Sanskaar was nervous at that time.
"What are you even talking about? Why would I even pretend in-front of you?" Sanskaar countered back
"Are you kidding me? What do you thought I couldn't see the tension between you and Swara? The looks you give each other? The change in your behaviour when she come near you, the way you look at her not making her feel that you are a creep! Do you think that I am blind? You think I didn't see the picture you just shuffled inside your pillow! I am not blind Sanskaar" Laksh said ending his rant while Sanskaar clutched the pillow closer.
"I don't know what are you talking about! I am sleepy! You also should go and sleep" Sanskaar said not looking at him
"Okay! Just get one thing into that thick skull of yours, if you want to talk I will be there right beside you! Good night" and before Sanskaar could reply Laksh closed the door behind him. Sanskaar was not ready to open up his painful wounds deeper. He wasn't ready to open.

Swara was still sitting on the widow gazing at the stars and then back to the diamond ring in her ring finger. Her mind was a mess. She wanted to talk but with whom? The person she wants to talk with hates her to the core. But was she at fault?
"You never loved me Swara you were just in a relationship with me because you wanted fame and to become popular and that's only possible if you get into a relationship with the most famous quarterback of the school and being the fool I am I jumped into your dreamland which only gave me pain" he spat at her while a pain splashed through her heart with the accusation
"It's not the true Sanskaar" she choked in end
"Don't! don't you dare play your crying games with me anymore I am not going to fall for that and get that straight I hate you and I loathe your presence" he said in a venomous tone while his heart was breaking into pieces while she got stunned hearing his confession while more tears rolled down her cheek she turned her back towards so he could hide those unnamed tears from her
"Then why did you come here?" she managed to ask between her sobs, she wanted to know that after so many years she still has the affect on him or not?
"Mistake" that was enough to stop her hearing ability, she decided not to make him hate her more so she left the terrace in a haste clutching her lehenga while tears rolled down continuously and he stood back looking at her going away from his sight while tear trickled down his cheeks.
She never knew her one mistake would cause her so much harm! But she was not the only one to be blamed! Where was he when she needed him? Where was he when she was fighting for her family? Where was he when she wanted a shoulder to cry on? Where was he when she wanted someone to comfort her, make her feel safe? He is also equally blamed for their broken relationship!
"Swara you should sleep it's pretty late" Ragini said entering the room
"Yea. You are sleeping, here right?" Swara asked hopefully
"Yes! Now come" Ragini said plopping on the bed and Swara quietly slipped into her side and inside the covers she turned to the other side not facing her sister and finally she spoke.
"Ragini"
"Hmm"
"Today I understood one thing I got love in my life but that love was just pain, pain that will never leave my heart" Swara said more shifting inside her blanket, closing her eyes while tears rolled down her cheeks and making Ragini's sleep to run away from her. She didn't know what to say to comfort her sister, first time in their sisterhood this half-sister was not able to soothe the other half of hers.
