Chapter 14 was stupendous...loved it...enjoyed alot...👏

U know ur a brilliant writer..no need to remind u that...wont describe what i like..i loved it whole.😛.but skipping to swasan part..i was sooo cute...touching...reread it sooo many times..the feel to that scene was breathtaking...fantastic..

Wow...simply wow...A big round of 👏 👏 👏 to you for this chapter, Saku my dear. Very well conceived, narrated and tightly knit together.

Loved the detour into the past you gave us, into the youthful yet precocious 13 year old Yuvraj Sanskaar. Who has been summoned to meet his 117 year old master (still looking very handsome, young and dapper, as per Kavi 😛 )--- Mohan himself. So that's the connection between Mohan and Sanskaar. 😊 The more you narrate the fascinating backstory, the more I can see how intertwined Sanskaar and Swara really are. So meant to be. His father--Ram, was very close friends with her mother--Arya. Best friends even, perhaps? And Mohan, who literally became Swara's guardian, God father if you will, was Sanskaar's teacher as well as being a friend/ acquaintance of Ram's---someone he held in high regard.

Really loved the tie in with what Mohan was going to teach Sanskaar, with the saam, daam, dhand, bedh concept. And what a fascinating minefield of a subject Mohan was going to teach Sanskaar----the art of realpolitik, power games and sovereignty! The art and skills of Deception, plotting, manipulation and power, as he puts it. How to win allies, see through them, and make Sanskaar into a powerfully soaring eagle, more than capable of taking on reptiles! 😊

And very powerful that statement was, too---that Mohan would show him the truth of power, the truth of sovereignty. That it would involve pain, and that Sanskaar would have to learn how to tolerate that, and how to fight it.

At the end of 24 months, Mohan's tutelage had sharpened Sanskaar's innate skills, to hone his already intelligent, curious mind into a formidable, razor sharp intellect.

That terrifying sight they witnessed, of the way the Sambhava witches were torturing a girl, all in their concept of detaching oneself from the self, to forgte one's own identity, to surrender before the power within----become an empty shell as it were---was so chilling, so awful. A very cruel rite, no wonder Ram had tried to ban it, but could not succeed.

So Sanskaar figures out that Annapurna is planning to hand over Swara to the Sambhava witches to torture in a like manner, till she just becomes the Eye. All traces of the person of Swara within her, would shrivel and vanish. How perceptive he is, he must have understood that from the time he was absorbing part of Swara's pain, sharing in the visions she was seeing in her nightmares.

His training under Mohan---those plans for guile and machiavellian tactics now stand him in good stead. He recalls, that he only ever promised to bring Swara back to Vajrateertha. He never promised Annapurna he would hand her over to the Sambhava witches! His innate honor, and of course, the powerful feelings he has for Swara also make such a course impossible to contemplate. I felt glad that Sanskaar is beginning to realize what Annapurna is capable of----hopefully, soon he would begin to suspect her and Aryaman's treachery and perfidy as well.

Lakshya the great now makes his entry, explaining to his Bhai how he was immune to the charm Sanskaar had tried to put on him---that of wiping his memory clean. But he seems to be under the mistaken impression that his Bhai is trying to use Janki Gadodia for something---he hasn't realized it is Swara, and that she is the eye! Blank bloke he is, indeed! 🤢 Plus he seems to think he has been sent to these realms on a mission by his mother; to help her end the war with the Nagas quickly. Wonder if Annapurna ever entrusted anything to him in reality; or just sent him off on a wild goose chase, with a smokescreen to make him think he was acting on a mission? 😉 😆

I almost went 🤣 at his statement that he thought he could be in love. So very, very Lakshya like!! 😆 Sanskaar was a little alarmed initially, I think; but he released breath he was holding when he heard Lakshya's rather equivocal reply. Why is Lakshya so ambivalent and undecided most if the time? 😉 And Sanskaar was also concerned hearing the anger and hatred in Lakshya's voice for the Eye---whom he blames for rendering their family asunder, for making "false allegations" about Lakshya himself. I wonder what he would do when he realizes the "Janki Gadodia" he knows is actually Swara, the Eye?

So Suvanna made an entry here! 😊 She kept in touch with that scrap of empathy and conscience hidden somewhere deep within, after all. She spared the life of that 6 year old, whom the Noir Priestess had ordered her to kill so heinously. Wonder if the child is going to come back to play a role here?

She then makes a wraith like entry, a mirror image of Ragini---to pour her warped ideas for action into Ragini's already enfeebled and bitter mind. So it is Suvanna who speaks in Janki's voice, inside Ragini's head. 👏 👏 And now she seems to have joined Ragini in coveting the Little Skipping Lamb, huh? She says that Lakshya thinks he loves Swara, but put together, Suvanna/Janki and Ragini can do something to make him change his mind, make him fall for them. And the tactic she outlines to Ragini---to let her control Ragini, think for her, to shut off Ragini's own mind in the process. 🤢 😕 Seems to bode very ill indeed!!
