Unres
Finally Un-resing for 32 *sooo sorrry for the delay again Shru*
I last left you at ro-ing khooon ke aaasnsooon for Pawan and pheewww he lives !!
This glimpse into the life and times of Janki was fabulously fascinating !! Loved the line where you say she's the sorceress not the godess ! True, how vile she turned out to be, and the way you've built it all up is amazing.
Can only imagine her disappointment when despite being a higher match in everyway for Shekhar, just by virtue of being a woman she was relegated to the whims and fancies of the Saamvant's brain. You'd think Shekhar would have supported his wife when going through such a difficult time instead of gallavanting away...and while a part of me is like okay maybe he only found true love with Sharmistha...it was extremely unfair of him inw hat he did to Janki and maybe he's only to blame for everything evil that she turned out to be. Not really justifying it, but he really pushed her over the cliff when she was maybe half a nutjob already !
When she makes her first move of bringing Sh and Sw closer, I would have probably tipped my hat saying well played Janki devi...well played. But that seriously was the end of it...any admiration that this character had...for those who cannot treat a child well deserve absolutely no admiration nor sympatyh...dang you Janki...(I see now how cheeky you were with having us all go gagaaa for the royal presence that is Janki...superb really Shruu)
Janki managed to quell any original personality that Sharmishta might have had and left only the feeling of being indebted to her in place...funny that Swara managed to break that ice a little only for it to plunge into her own heart !! Whether in the former years it was the shame that perpteuated around them or the massive betrayal in the latter !
Absolutely LOVED how you unravelled the entire plot then, and I keep thinking what nuggets of info you lay out int he open that we as readers were too blind to see...
That she killed her maid without second thought only to further her plot made me screw my nose up in disgust...how far gone are you Janki...really what will you stop at...you are turning over your daughter to a fiend and lying innocents in the wake...the maid, the soldiers...so unfeeling !
What I found funny was that for a woman who prided herself in planning and plotting for decades and being the gamemaker for ever so long, she failed to recognise the threat that Sanskaar posed to her and her daughter. She should know that one Sanskar would never lose against DSR and once back she'd basically meet a fate worse than death. His treatment of Ragini itself should have given her a clue. I guess she placed too much faith in DSR's abilities ? But Janki...you don't touch Swara and Pawan and get away with that so easily...you just wait and watch.
Part 2
Finally the mystery of Annapurna's letter is out in the open...so freakishly glad that she retained her intelligence and wrote to him asap ! Sanskar's mum is the best...not only does she apprise him of the situation but also manages to compliment Swara's tenacity...him reading her letter and being wowed by his princess is just so endearing...that the bond for both is so strong that it transcends these nefarious plots...
Yayyy for Ranjit, like you said he wasn't a cad and come through like a charm...Whatever Janki must have expected this must have been the last thing for the Saamvant to do...which pretty much shed broad daylight on her plans for everyone to see..especially a highly observant Sanskaar ! Hurray for Rajputs and their code of honour and to chota CID"s father for enabling the victory at Baadigunj
Can feel Sanskaar's dread as he hears the story of what transpired at the temple and in my head I was ike god the reality is so much worse 😭😭
Part 3
His *Pawannn* got me...lump in throat 😭😭😭
The despair he feels when he assesses how bad Pawan's wounds are make me want to run over and give him a hug...god how I abhor that DSR and Janki who've led to this ! Even in the pain he's a man of action...iron will..I really like how you detailed that out...rallying the troops, even yelling at them to not give up on his friend, his soul brother...anddd when Pawan moves*I swear I whistled*
Pawan being the brave lord that he is, even in that state gives his friend the information he needs and sends him on to the place where he's required the most. You can see Sanskaar conflicted with where he should be at, but Pawan's resilience made that call for him... ! awww Pawan...
Part 4
Annapurna is just as methodical as her son/nephew...whether it is following up on Kaveri or finding logic amiss in Janki's retelling of the sequence of events.,
Poor Uttara...finding herself in such a position where she yearns to know what happened to Pawan but not being able to do so because her family is not in the know of her true feelings. I loved how you portrayed her anguish at wanting to know if he was alive, never leaving his side and going through hell as they laid him out...poor baby !
That one line he says...*flat*...that feeling of pleasure not only ripped through Utttuuu but also mee...HE CAME BACK !
Wonderful chapter Shru...from the machinations of evil to the tendrils of hope...this chapter was fabulous in it's offering completely...
muaaah for writing this...and for keeping Pawan alive...!!
