Getting work on television has not been easy for me - Mayur (Kartik)

Last seen on Zee TV show Janbaaz Sindbaad, Mayur Verma has longed to be a part of a popular prime-time show and now it looks like destiny has brought in immense luck in his kitty!

Currently seen in one of the top-rated drama's Swaragini on Colors, Mayur recently marked his entry as Kartik throwing glimpses of a past vengeance with Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar) and Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor).

Speaking to Mayur in a candid conversation, he quipped, "Getting work on television has not been easy for me. I exhausted all my energy auditioning for a zillion shows but nothing worked in my favour until Janbaaz Sindbaad. When I heard that the show is going off-air, I was a bit heart broken and thought my dreams of being a stable actor would shatter but destiny had different plans! I bagged Swaragini and there is nothing more I could ask for."

When we quizzed him about his character in the show, Mayur averred, "Well, I play Kartik in the show. For now, the viewers must have found something fishy about him and I assure that this character will bring in immense drama in the show. I am elated as I am not only a part of a popular prime-time show but the character has substance. Majority of my scenes are withTejaswi Prakash Wayangankar as of now and I am very comfortable with the positive environment on the set."
