Basically the VM starts off with a flashback of Ragini & Laksh's happy moments. On the evening of Sanskaar-Swara's and Ragini-Laksh's sangeet. Laksh's plan comes out and Ragini isn't able to believe it for a while, but later sees that Laksh has betrayed her. Sanskaar try to make his brother understand but unfortunately Laksh doesn't.
Ragini is still in shock and grief. Annapurna tries to knock some sense into Laksh. Laksh goes on to marry Kavya and Ragini stands there watching as her first love marries someone else. She decides to leave the house as Laksh has divorced her and married Kava. Lash tries to apologize to Ragini, but Ragini could care less.
Soon enough Karan Maheswari enters [ Karan Wahi, nephew of Sujata (her sister's son) but, since Karan's entire family passed away, Sujata legally makes Karan her son.] Karan takes an immediate fancy for Ragini. [ Karan is a few months older than Sanskaar. Karan/Sanskaar are best friends and share an amazing brother relationship between each other. ]
Will Ragini have a second chance at love? Will Karan keep her happy? Will Laksh regret leaving Ragini?
All of this forms the rest of the VM.
