Hey Viji...finally have sat down to review ur OS Air!! Will let u knw at the end of this how many stars u get for it 😆 😆
Lakshya...I would say he is the most volatile character in this show even more so than Sujata I feel...one never knows where one is with him...initially I was a SwaLak shipper ...I won't deny it .. Tho I did find him a tad immature for a hero but he was cute 😳 and I thought Swara n he looked good together...but of course tht was before Sanskaar entered ... Since then I had hoped against hope tht the SwaLak marriage would never take place.
And since then I never liked Laksh either...even when Sanskaar was grey I thought laksh was insipid next to him...and then the entire marriage to Ragini saga happened and since then laksh made me 🤢 so any OS with laksh in a positive role wouldn't sit well with me...but u hv written this one at the ideal time Viji...coz there is never telling anything with the CVs...now he's likable, now he's not!!! And if u had to write something nice abt laksh this is the best opportunity for anyone to do so...despite myself I'm liking him in the show at present and really hoping his tears of happiness at swasan happiness are for real and he won't switch back to some star crossed lover again!
Now coming to ur OS ... The back story tht u hv given of him at the time of his birth what the panditji saw in his kundli and how he hides the true predictions from the family .. It somehow makes things so clear as to the nature of laksh..it is true tht there are certain facets of our lives tht are pre written at birth...often nothing v do can control it and the panditji hiding the truth was only doing a favor on the family keeping them away from the pain they would have experienced sply Annapurna...coz no mother would like to hear anything negative about her newly born...if the panditji had in fact told the truth he would hv just been shunned from any further dealings with the Maheshwaris. Anyway some things are Fate...jo Hona haI ho ke rahega...but some things can be averted by our acts ... And of course panditji tried his best to advise them to not pamper laksh but of course no one can think so far...and even after all Laksh did they would never look into themselves for any wrong upbringing...they will always blame others and circumstances.
And the drastic jump in his portrayal tht u took in the 2nd part truly redeemed him...his happiness at the Swasan Union seems so genuine...and the fact tht he finally saw through Ragini and her evilness shows tht he has finally grown up. Plus his eventual realization tht what he had felt for Swara may not have been true love...not everyone can introspect and come to such honest conclusions specially having lived a life where he got everything he wanted.
I can imagine how he must have felt at peace with himself to see his brother happy with the love of his life..after all he had spent his entire childhood and most of his youth sharing joys and sorrows with this same-age brother and the 5 year hiatus and subsequent hatred and bitterness must have cut a hole in his heart ...
The way u described the hospital scene...Sanskaar's pain and anxiety for Swara...like his own life is on hold till she regained consciousness and then how sweet was laksh to give them some private time before the others found out abt it...Kya karu...can't stop taking about laksh...this os was truly about him and I didn't mind it one bit tht u have given him a major portion coz he is so very likable
I do wish he will remain so in the show too!
Hope I hv done justice in my reply Viji...always love ur works !!
Lotsa love
Tas
Tas sweetheart...🤗 🤗 🤗
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for this most lovely comment. Please excuse me if my reply is rather brief and doesn't do full justice your superbly insightful and analytical comment dear...I am putting finishing touches on my next drabble set on SwaSan, racing against time to post it today. 😊
Oh, I so loved this statement of yours in your comment: """but of course tht was before Sanskaar entered ... Since then I had hoped against hope tht the SwaLak marriage would never take place. And since then I never liked Laksh either...even when Sanskaar was grey I thought laksh was insipid next to him...and then the entire marriage to Ragini saga happened and since then laksh made me 🤢"""
This tallied EXACTLY with my viewpoint of the serial as well. 😆 😆
As for my OS, I am so super happy that you loved the SwaSan portrayal here, the intense soul connect between them. Sanskaar adores Swara with such complete, pure devotion, I am sure his very heartbeats and breath would stop, seeing her injured and battling for her life. I am certain that his agony will be even more seeing her in pain, than if he himself was injured.
And as for Swara, she was moored to her life, her consciousness, because of the intense love she has for Sanskaar. As she says, how can she bear to leave him? 😳
I am so very glad you liked Lakshya's portrayal as an Air element Zodiac sign, as well as the pandit's initial foretelling of his specific kundli. I agree with you there 100%, Tas. I do feel fate is a combination of predestiny and choice. It is not really an absolute, but it is based on decisions taken, the choices each person makes. It is the steps we take that then decide our fate.
The pandit correctly identified that Lakshya's birth chart was rather full of impulsiveness and self delusion. But he correctly realized that revealing this to the Maheshwaris would not go down well with them, especially Annapurna. He did caution them to inculcate a sense of responsibility and grounding in Lakshya early on itself, but as we know, they never took heed of that fact.
Lakshya therefore became the little prince of Maheshwari House, the spoilt brat with an easy going
approach to life. But I do think, after making so many missteps, he has now spent some time introspecting on how his own rash actions brought pain to himself and others dear to him. I do feel this contemplation has made him a more mature, more balanced persona.
He does want to be a true brother to Sanskaar, and a true friend to Swara now. I guess seeing them so happy together, has made him belatedly realize what they actually mean to one another, how pure and intense their love is. He does feel an occasional pang of course, but this is momentary, not the covetous jealousy and rage he used to feel.
He is genuinely making attempts to move on, and to be sincerely happy for SwaSan.
I am so overjoyed that you loved that hospital scene. You really hit the nail on the head on what I was trying to convey there: Lakshya and Sanskaar had been so close in the childhood and teen years, and Sanskaar, though just a few months older, had been Lakshya's idol and role model. Now, Lakshya feels proud of the opportunity to be a strong shoulder for his Bhai, when he needs him the most.
Thanks once again, Tas. You made my day with this comment, sweetheart!
Loads of Love,
