Part 12
After Laksh left Jaya was wondering around the house thinking what to say to the family and how to talk to them about Laksh coming around she knew everyone will be angry and they will take time to adjust to the idea of them telling Ragini to go and talk to Laksh or take him to the appointments with he. Jaya sat there thinking about how they tried to help Ragini and how long it took to get her to where she is now.
Ragini came home and so did everyone else in the evening. Jaya told Ragini to go and play with Angel in her room. Jaya gathered everyone else in her room. She need to talk to them all together and make them understand she knew it is a difficult task they all love her and will not want to hurt Ragini anyway and bringing up the past and Laksh will hurt Ragini.
Jaya: I need to tell you all something and you all need to listen to me carefully, before you jump to conclusions, start shouting or arguing hear me out okay.
Rohan: mum what is it we will not be shouting.
Rahul: ha mum tells us
Jaya: okay its about Ragini
Ram: what about her?
Jaya: about her past
Nadini: past, why are we talking about it now mum?
Jaya: because her husband came to see me today, Laksh Maheswari
All of them shocked and stunned.
All together: what? When? Why? How?
Jaya: he came to talk to me because he thought we could help him help Ragini.
Rohan: him helping Ragini? He did that when he destroyed her we are still trying to pick up the pieces he is a waste of space we should not be giving him our time
Rahul: Rohan come down lets listen to mum first
Simi: Rohan bhaiya, Rahul bhai is right lets see what he wants
Jaya: he wants to help Ragini he knows what he did was wrong and he wants to help Ragini get rid of her fear, take her out of the shell she is living in, he thinks if we all talk to her she will talk to him
Ram: are you serious why does he think that?
Jaya: he thinks if he goes to therapy with Ragini they both sit talk and discuss about their past then and only then she can overcome her fears and live a normal life again, he thinks that talk about the past will help but if she keeps it all inside it will not help her
Rahul: I have to agree with him that will help Ragini, she needs to talk about it, keep it all inside locked up is not going to help her
Nadini: Rahul is right only way she can forget her past and really move on is if she actually talks about it and forgives Laksh, otherwise she will be stuck in the past and willnot be able to move on
Rohan: I can't believe you guys agree with the jerk who ruined her life
Ram: Rohan think carefully what they are saying is true I know you are angry but we have to think of what is best for Ragini
Simi: yes we need to do what is best for Ragini nothing else matters, we all want to see her happy, carefree, living a life without holding back or feeling like she has burden inside her
Nadini: that is true she is living a life but is it not a complete life she needs to move on she cannot live like this forever
Rahul: yes she is holding so much inside her it is slowly killing her it is not good for her, it is not healthy in anyway
Jaya: agree until and unless she forgives her family and Laksh she will not be able to live in piece, not matter what she says or does she loves them, don't forget love and hate have a very thin line
Ram: yes we know she doesn't talk about her family but I am sure she misses them, she is their daughter and she lived with them more than 20 years no one can forget their family
Rahul: what do you think Rohan?
Rohan: I don't know bhai this is hurt Ragini, but if it helps her then I will support you all
Simi: yes it will hurt her but we will be there every step of the way
Rohan: if Ragini decides to go to the therapy with him I will accompany her in case she needs moral support
Jaya: thank you Rohan
Rohan: don't thank me yet of he does anything to hurt her I will kill him with my bear hands
Rahul: Rohan don't be stupid, think before taking any actions
Ram: yes Rohan, violence is not going to help anyone it will complicate things
Nadini: Rohan I know you care for Ragini we all do but we have to be her support and be there when she needs us we cannot complicate things for her more than they already are okay, so please don't do anything stupid
Jaya walks over to Rohan puts her hand on his shoulders.
Jaya: Rohan believe me this is not easy for me or anyone us but we have to do it for Ragini okay.
Ragini walks in the room, everyone is shocked .
Jaya: where is Angel Ragini?
Ragini: she is sleeping mum
Jaya: when did you come where?
Ragini: I heard most of the conversation mum
Ram: Ragini sorry we don't mean to interfere beta but ..
Ragini: I know dad you are thinking of what is best for me
Jaya: it is up to you, its your decision
Rahul: yes Ragini and we will support you, both Nandini and Rahul come and side hug her and she in in the middle
Ragini: I know you guys are my pillars of strength
Simi: Ragini you are my best friend my sister so whatever you decide we will support you hunder percent
Ragini: Rohan?
Rohan walks over to Ragini looks at her
Rohan: Ragini I will ALWAYS support you in your decision and you know that, because I know you always make the right decision
Ragini: thank you all but I need to talk to Laksh, how he dare come here and put you all in this position
Laksh walks in his room, feeling bit lighter happy that Jaya gave him some hope, he knows Ragini will be angry at him for doing that but if it helps her he doesn't care even if she hits him with a big stick.
AP saw Laksh walk in to his room, she went sat near with and he seemed relaxed.
AP: what happened Laksh, how did it go?
Laksh: mum I think it went well, I spoke to Jaya aunty I think she will help, she wants what is best for Ragini I know that for sure.
AP: let's hope it works and you can help Ragini, after everything it will be nice if she forgets everything and forgives us all for what we did, I know we all made mistakes and it will be hard for her but Ragini is a good girl she will do the right thing
Laksh: I hope so mum
Ap: okay come down for dinner okay
Laksh: will do mum, AP walks out, Laksh freshens up and comes out of the bathroom, looks at his phone there is a message from Ragini he smiles knowing that the family must have spoked to her and he bets she is angry at him.
Text" Laksh meet me at the park, tomorrow at 11:00"
Laksh was happy at least she wants to meet him, even if it is to shout/scream at him but at least she wants to see him. Laksh had his dinner, was in bed reading her message few times, smiling to himself and looking at the old pictures of Ragini on his phone.
Laksh: Ragini I know you must be hurt, angry, frustrated at me for going to see Jayaji but I want what is best for you just like Jaya aunty and everyone else.
Next at 10:30 Laksh is waiting in the park he came early he was anxious and nervous he wanted to see Ragini and hear what she has to say he knows she will not be happy but at least he will see her. He had 3 cups of coffee he didn't sleep well. He was walking around the park waiting for Ragini to arrive. He kept looking at his watch.
Finally 11:10 he saw Ragini walking she was wearing a flowarl maxi dress, sun glasses on, her hair was out, has simple earrings on and she had flats on. Rohan was with her, she was holding his arm and walking. She must have seen him because both Rohan and Ragini started walking towards Laksh. Laksh was sad she Rohan was with her and he was not liking how Rohan was holding Ragini. Rohan whispered something in Ragini's ears and she was laughing, Laksh felt that it should have him who was there with her and making her laugh but he lost the chance because of his deeds.
Ragini and Rohan came and stood in front of Laksh. They both looked at him, Laksh looked at Rohan and then at Ragini.
Ragini: Hi she took her glasses off
Laksh: Hello
Ragini: Rohan this is my ex-husband Mr Lask Maheswari, and this is Rohan by best friend and the best guy in the whole world.
Rohan: looks at Ragini and says aww you are the best girl in the world darling
Laksh did not like how they both were complimenting each other and were all happy. Ragini was stil holding Rohan's arms and Rohan was looking at her. Rohan then looked at Laksh.
Rohan: Hi
Laksh just smiled he didn't know what to say or do, he was sure Rohan didn't like but the looks he was getting from Rohan, he didn't blame Rohan either.
Ragini: Rohan sweety give us 5 mins please I will not be long she smiles
Rohan: you sure I don't mind standing here
Ragini: I am sure, why don't you go and gets some coffee and when we are done here we will go to the hospital together
Rohan: okay sure, I will meet you where the car is
Ragini: yes thanks, Rohan kissed Ragini on the left check and left, Laksh looked the other way he couldn't see the scene in front of him.
Ragini: why did you do this? Why did you come to see mum? What did you expect after your busy? Why are you doing this?
Laksh: I went to see aunty because I need her help, you would not listen to me so I thought she can make you see sense, I am doing this because I want the old Ragini
Ragini laughs: you want the old Ragini you are delusional Mr Maheswari, don't you remember you never liked the old Ragini she was too shy, innocent, traditional, quiet, behenji type and now you want her back
Laksh: Ragini please try to understand what I am saying
Ragini: understand and you, are you serious, do you know yourself, you are a confused soul you need help more than me, take a hard at yourself then come to help me okay
Laksh: Ragini what is wrong with you, why are you behaving like this?
Ragini: what is wrong with me? I thought you liked modern girls, who had fashion sense, who wore western clothes, who had confidence, who were smart, who didn't give a crap about what others thought, that is who I am now and you have a problem with that
Laksh: I like new you but I want the old Ragini back as well, caring, understanding, who loves people who wants to do anything to help them, who is a good friend
Ragini: life is a joke right, you didn't want me then because of the I was then, but now that I am like the girls you like you don't want me to be like this
Laksh: please you are not listening to me
Ragini shouts: I am listening to you Mr Maheswari, in fact I listened to everyone that ruined my life and that's is why I am like this living a half cut life, you all should be happy right, you wanted me to live like this, unhappy, I am living but I am not alive, aren't not happy Mr Maheswari, you should be delighted, I am the reason your family were humiliated, your precious Swara you love, your life your everything was stolen from you. you hated me and wanted me to suffering not that I am you should be celebrating, you should go and shout from the rooftops that you won and you got what you wanted. You never liked me forget loving me or respecting me. You never saw me as a woman good enough for you, I was the woman you were embarrassed to be with, you never wanted to be known as my husband, you were ashamed because I got your name for months, you couldn't wait to get away from. You wanted me out of your life and now you have what you wanted so be happy. Move on live your life, go find someone, love someone, be happy, and don't worry about a waste of space like me. I have my small world here and I will be happy here until I take my last breath. Please go away and never come to me back to see me, talk to me or my family again.
Laksh had his head bowed down, he was crying, everything Ragini was saying is true and he couldn't defend himself or say anything he was ashamed of his actions, sins and the deeds which he himself did and got himself in this mess. He knew this was going to happen but he didn't know it would hurt this much, why was Ragini's words piercing his heart and he just wanted to die, he didn't want to live anymore, he didn't deserve to live.
Ragini saw he was crying and knew what she said must have hurt him, but she needed to say those things to get rid of him she didn't want to see him again, she wanted him to live her and her family alone and never come back for that she needed to be strong.
Ragini: all the best for the future, I hope you find a girl you love and who will love you unconditionally, if you haven't found her yet, I wish you all the best, my advice for you would be just forget the past and move on. I am sorry for taking your love Swara from you. Good bye Mr Laksh Maheswari.
Ragini walked off and Laksh stood there crying, looking at Ragini walking away from him once again and he couldn't do anything to stop her.
