From the update of chapter 2, I feel that either Sanskaar was just pretending (in the flashback scene) to provide that excuse of his misbehavior so that Swara would not have to apologize to him in front of the whole college...I fear he would now make her fall in love with him, just to win that bet with his friend.

But in the process, he may himself genuinely fall in love with her, but his friend may tell her about the bet. 😕

Hats off to you for running so many stories simultaneously yaar. My favorite from your collection currently are Zinda Rehti Hai Unki Mohabbatein and Magic Potion. Please update them both na. 😊

PART 3

Flashback continues from the College Assembly scene.

In the college assembly, Swara stood near the Principal with a bowed head.
Pri: Good Morning students. Miss. Swara Shah wants to apologize to Sanskaar Maheshwari for insulting him in front of the whole college.
Swara stepped in front of the mike with an empty expression. Just then, Sanskaar walked up to the stage and stepped up in front of Swara to confront the whole college.
Sa: There is no need for Swara to say sorry to me. She slapped me because I had behaved indecently with her yesterday evening. (turns to Swara) Swara..I am sorry..I won't tease you in any way from now onwards. I am sorry for everything.
Sanskaar walked down the stage and Swara stared after him with tears of gratitude in her eyes.

He went directly to his hostel room, since he wanted to be alone after the whole incident. He knew his friends, especially Siddharth would make fun of him since he couldn't make Swara say "I love you" to him. The bet was that he would make her his girlfriend within six days, but he already accepted his defeat, even if it was only the fourth day.
Lying on his bed, he thought "Sid was right, I shouldn't have taken the challenge for a girl like Swara. She is not my type. I should not have wasted my time and energy for her."
But another voice inside his head spoke up "But why did you apologize to her in front of the whole college? That was so unlike Sanskaar Maheshwari."
His own voice answered to the voice "Actually I was feeling so guilty. She was in a helpless condition and I was the reason for it. That's all."
The other voice sounded skeptic "That's all, huh..?? Or is there something else. I have never seen Sanskaar Maheshwari apologizing to anyone in his life. Remember she had slapped you, insulted you in front of the whole college..!!"
Sanskaar thought "When I saw her tear stained face, I realized that I shouldn't have misbehaved with her. She is different from the other girls who would do anything to kiss Sanskaar Maheshwari. She slapped me because I had threatened to kiss her."
The other voice answered "Have you really fallen for that girl, so much so that you couldn't even see her crying..? I think you are in love, Sanskaar..! "
Sanskaar smiled when he heard the voice and he answered back , this time loudly.
Sa: Swara, I think I love you..(but then he stopped smiling) But will she ever love me after what I did to her..?

The whole day passed with no more encounters with Sanskaar and Swara was already missing him. She wanted to thank him for speaking on behalf of her in the assembly.
Actually she was attracted to him at the very first sight itself, but she kept ignoring his advances only because she was a studious type girl and didn't really believe in wasting her time being in a romantic relationship with someone.
But today, everything seemed different to her. She was not able to concentrate in the class and his words kept echoing inside her head.
" There is no need for Swara to say sorry to me. She slapped me because I had behaved indecently with her yesterday evening. Swara..I am sorry..I won't tease you in any way from now onwards. I am sorry for everything."
Since, she couldn't pay attention to the lecturers, she skipped her classes for the afternoon and spent her remaining college time in the library. Even in the library, every time she tried to read a book, Sanskaar's handsome face and his voice kept haunting her senses.
By evening, she understood that she couldn't brush off her attraction towards him just like that. She realized that Sanskaar was indeed special for her and she knew he had a heart of gold.
Before going home, once more she looked around the college and there was no sign of him. She felt a pang inside her heart and started her car. Just then one of her friends, Gauri, came towards her.
Ga: Swara, you know that tomorrow is the festival of Holi.
Sw: I know..But it's a holiday right.
Ga: Ya, but we are having Holi celebration here in the college. It will be fun yaar. Don't miss it.
Sw: But every year, I celebrate it with my family.
Ga: But, please try to come, Swara.. We all will be here.. This time you celebrate with your friends.
Swara thought for a moment, "Sanskaar might also be here..". Her face turned warm with excitement.
Sw: (smiles widely) Gauri..You are right..I need to celebrate this Holi with my friends.

By the evening, Siddharth knew that Sanskaar had taken his defeat in the bet very seriously when he couldn't find him anywhere in the college. He knew better not to tease Sanskaar further. They both shared a room in the boys' hostel.
Sanskaar was not in the room when Sid reached back and he knew where he could find him. He went directly to the terrace of their hostel and he was right, Sanskaar was sitting on the edge wall. Siddharth approached him from behind and put his arm around Sanskaar's shoulder.
Si: (calmly)Sanskaar, its ok yaar..I am not going to tease you..Let's forget all about that stupid bet..There is no need to avoid me or any of your friends because of it.
Sa: (smiles and touched his hand) Sid...
Sanskaar stood up and gave him a warm hug. Then he stood back and laughed at his stupidity. Siddharth also joined in the laugh. They sat down together and began chitchatting about other things. But soon, Sid realized that something was bothering Sanskaar.
Si: Are you ok..? Is there anything else which is bothering you, Sanskaar..?
Sa: How do you know..?
Si: Come on yaar..Share it with me..You will feel better.
Sanskaar told him everything -- the way he threatened her by telling that he will kiss her in front of the whole college if she didn't tell "I love you" to him, and the way he felt for her now.
Si: Wow Sanskaar..You genuinely have fallen in love with her..! This is unbelievable man..!! And trust me Sanskaar..Swara is a really nice girl.
Sa: I know, Sid..But..(pauses for a while) What if she..?
Si: Oh come on Sanskaar..No ifs and buts .. Just try to propose her with all your heart Sanskaar..My mother always says that "Whatever you try to do, do it with your heart, then you will surely succeed." And it's true..trust me..!
Sanskaar could feel a new sense of excitement filling inside him. Talking with Siddharth has certainly improved his positivity.

Day Five

Next day, Swara entered the college gates with excitement. Her heart was beating fast in anticipation with the cheerful thoughts of meeting Sanskaar. She was dressed in a white halter neck summer frock. Her long silky hair was left open and even with minimal make up she was looking like an angel.
The air was filled with colors and loud noise of the festive drums. Her eyes were searching for Sanskaar and just then she was approached by a gang of girls who were carrying pichkaaris (big syringes for spurting color water). Swara laughed naughtily and tried to run away from them only to get bumped into a strong male body. She grabbed his collars to save herself from falling backwards and she looked up to see his face.
Sw: Sanskaar..
Her heart skipped a beat seeing him. He was dressed in a white t shirt and blue jeans and was looking super hot. Just then her friends managed to surround them and spurted colors upon both of them from all directions. Swara and Sanskaar were unaware of this as they both were busy staring into each other's eyes. Sanskaar raised his hand and applied some pink color on her left cheek and she squirmed at his touch, closing her eyes momentarily.
Sa: Happy Holi, Swara..
Sw: (nervously smiles looking at him and softly utters) Happy Holi, Sanskaar..
She blushed even before she could finish off her wishes and she left him and ran away from there with a wide smile shining on her lips. Sanskaar felt a tug at his heart and he smiled widely seeing her reaction.
Sa: (excitedly) Swaraa..
Sanskaar ran after Swara and she too took two fistfuls of red color and showered it upon Sanskaar when he came near. Later, Swara and Sanskaar celebrated with their own gang of friends and they both enjoyed immensely. They all danced and sang and had lots of fun.
The whole day passed quickly and it was time to go home. Swara told bye to her friends and she walked towards her car. When she was driving out of the campus, she saw Sanskaar who was having some trouble in starting his bike. Swara decided to seize her chance to speak to him alone. She stopped her car near him and asked.
Sw: Sanskaar, is everything alright..?
Sanskaar was surprised when he saw her and he smiled pleasantly.
Sa: I think there is something wrong with my bike.
Sw: Do you want me to drop you somewhere..?
Sanskaar was quite taken aback by her friendly behavior. He also didn't want to miss his chance to speak to her. He got down from his bike and got inside her car. Swara got nervous at his close proximity even though she had the courage to offer him some help. Sanskaar decided to try his luck one more time.
Sa: Ya, I was just going out to have some coffee. Would you like to join me..?
Swara didn't pause to think and she grabbed the very first opportunity that came her way.
Sw: Sure.
They went to her favorite coffee shop and both of them sat down together. A waiter came and they placed their orders.
Sw: Thank you, Sanskaar..
Sa: (smiling)For offering you coffee..?
Sw: (chuckles) No.. For supporting me in the college assembly yesterday. If you hadn't spoken on my behalf, then I don't know...(her voice cracked)

Sanskaar was very much touched by her simplicity and the way she said those words. He just wanted to kiss her and tell that he will be always there for her. But he controlled his feelings and smiled in an assuring way.
Sa: Let's forget that Swara.. I myself am very much ashamed of my behavior towards you..Actually the thing is that I liked you at the very first sight and I made a bet with my friends that I will make you my girlfriend within six days...
Swara felt a pang in her heart and thought "Oh..So it was all for a bet.." But then she remembered his words "I liked you at the very first sight" and she felt cheerful.

Sa:(continues talking)...I went on trying different ways to woo you and I felt very much humiliated that day because you rejected my gifts in front of my friends and...(pauses feeling ashamed to say)..And that's why I threatened to kiss you..

Swara gasped and looked at him when she remembered that incident. As he watched her innocent expression, he felt more love for her bubbling inside his heart.

The waiter approached their table again with their coffees and snacks and placed them on the table.

Sa: (laughs softly) Tomorrow is the sixth day of the bet. But I don't care about it anymore. (then he looks intently into her eyes) You are one special girl, Swara..I have never met anyone like you. And I want to say sorry to you for dragging you into this whole bet incident. Can you please forgive me, Swara..?
Swara looked into his eyes and smiled reassuringly.
Sw: I forgave you yesterday itself. As I said before, I am grateful to you for that gesture in the assembly.
Sanskaar's heart was constantly telling him to propose her then and there. But fear of rejection was pulling him backwards and he mentally debated whether it was time to confess his love. Swara also wanted to tell him that she too loved him, but then Sanskaar was not making any attempt to propose her again.
Both of them had their coffees in silence and then Sanskaar paid the bill.
Sa: Let's go, Swara..It's already late for you to go home..
Sw: (smiles and shakes her head) Not a problem Sanskaar, I am so happy today that the problems between us got cleared.
Sanskaar smiled widely hearing her words and nodded.
Sa: You mean to say, that you would like to spend more time with me..?
But before Swara could say anything, her mobile rang and she picked up the call. Sanskaar waited for her to finish speaking. After sometime she disconnected the call and spoke to Sanskaar.
Sw: (smiling apologetically) Call from home, Sanskaar..I need to go..You are right, it's already late..I will drop you back at the college hostel and then I will go home.
Sa: It's ok Swara..I will go by an Auto..You need to go..
Both of them walked towards the car with racing heartbeats as both the hearts were throbbing to scream "I love you" to each other. But alas, their brains had different confusions in their minds. Swara got into the car and he waited for her to leave.
Sw: (with love filled eyes) Bye, Sanskaar..See you tomorrow..
Sa: (smiles at her) Take care, Swara..Bye..Drive safely..
Swara felt her heart twist as she drove her car away, knowing that she was going to miss him like hell tonight and Sanskaar simply watched her car dwindling away as he felt an empty feeling in his heart.

DAY SIX

In the afternoon break, Sanskaar and his friend Siddharth were sitting at the college canteen. At the same time, Swara and her friend Gauri entered into the canteen. Siddharth nudged Sanskaar and indicated in her direction. Swara's eyes were scanning the entire canteen and her gaze fell upon Sanskaar. Her lips curved into a happy smile and she asked Gauri to sit down at a different table. Then she walked towards Sanskaar's table and he stood up with a smiling face when he saw her approach him.
Sw: Hi Sanskaar..
Sa: Hi..
Sw: Sid, today is Priya's birthday. So we are planning to give a surprise party to her in the evening at the RG's club. I would be happy if you both came for the party.
Sa: (surprised) Me too..?? But Priya is Sid's class mate. Not mine..I don't even know her properly.
Swara made a pleading face.
Sw: I know..But I want to invite you too, Sanskaar..Please do come..Ok..?
Sa: (smiles and nods) Ok..
Swara smiled widely and walked away towards Gauri's table. Sanskaar watched her move away and Sid placed his hand on Sanskaar's shoulder.
Si: Wow Sanskaar..Special invitation for you an all..huh..! (meaningful look)
Sa: (shrugs his shoulder, but with a happy face) There is nothing like that.. We became good friends yesterday and that is the only reason.
Si: Well..Let's see..

Sanskaar arrived with Siddharth at the party in the evening. Sanskaar was wearing a chocolate brown t-shirt and grey jeans and he was looking really hot. His eyes searched for Swara and he spotted her in between a group of girls. She was looking really pretty in a black color party wear dress. Swara looked up at the same time and saw Sanskaar, who was looking at her with admiration. She blushed when she saw the look in his eyes.
After sometime, Swara walked towards the DJ and requested him to stop the music for some time. She confidently walked up to the centre platform with a guitar in her hand. Sanskaar watched her intently as she sat down on a chair and began to play the guitar in a most beautiful way. And then she sang his most favorite bollywood love song. (Those who don't know Hindi, I have added the song translation in the brackets)

Chahein Tum Kuch Naa Kaho..Maine Sunn Liya.. (Though you didn't say anything, I heard you)

She finished singing to a loud round of applause. She stood up from her chair and bowed towards the audience. Then she looked at Sanskaar and announced into the mike.
Sw: (softly) Sanskaar..This song was for you..(excited pause, she took a deep breath) I Love You, Sanskaar..(smiles widely at him)
Sanskaar's eyes and his smile were widened with shock and surprise at the same time. He couldn't believe his ears. Sid smiled happily and pushed him towards the centre stage. Sanskaar ran up to the stage and hugged her tightly.
Sa: (excitedly)Swara..I love you too..(laughs happily)
Swara was quite overwhelmed with her emotions and she too hugged him tightly.
