notice period

well today I asked my supervisor that why a person has 2 undergo through notice period , she replied that its a period in which a company may hire a new person or convince d same person 2 stay & 4 d person who want 2 leave his job notice period is a time 4 d person 2 rethink his decision & find new job. as d article mentioned that teju had given 2 months notice period & CVS r working 4 ragini's future , d day teju quit article came out & after one day only new villain article came out. I just hope things work out & teju don't leave SR , as teju main problem is negative character , ragini may turn positive. 2 months is a big period.
