It has been a long while since I have written any piece let alone a fanfiction. I used to write fanfics of the D3 pair, SwaRon once upon a time. Now when I think about it it was really a long time back. I have not been active on India forums as well, but have followed Swaragini and specially SwaSan. I think I have a thing for jodis beginning with 'Swa' and ending with 'N'

I sincerely hope it is not too bad and that you people like it.😊

The Magic of Music - A SwaSan OS

So much had happened in the last few days. All the events flashed behind her eyes as if they were some movie. All the different ways in which her sister had tried to frame her to make her look like a characterless woman. She remembered Sanskar's warnings that Ragini might be acting and has not changed, but what had she done? She hadn't paid heed to him, her best friend, her husband. She didn't know what he was to her anymore.

Sitting on the balcony, her thoughts flashed to the two people. On one side was Ragini, her sister whom she had loved with all her her heart even after all the mistakes that she had committed. Despite her trying to kill her multiple times she had forgiven her and accepted her. On the other hand was Sanskar, who had loved her unconditionally, without an ounce of doubt or restraint. He had trusted get and supported get in ask her decisions. He had never questioned Swara, not had he ever tried to impose his love or marriage. And what had she done? She has used and misused him, his love. She had stretched him to such a limit for her selfish reasons that he had finally broken. And now she was all alone, she had cut all ties with one person that she had loved and the one person who had loved her had abandoned her.

Tears clouded her vision. Buy she didn't have the strength to stop them and Sanskar wasn't here to wipe them off, with his prestine white hand kerchief. Her hand searched blindly for something to hold onto, and finally touched the guitar.

Picking up her prized procession, she began to play. She channelized all her sadness misery into one song after another. Her pain filled voice sang along. Slowly as her tears subsided she realised that all the songs that she played were actually Sanskar's favourites. The songs that he had once requested her to play and suddenly it dawned on her that she was head over heals in love with her best friend, her husband.

The realisation brought a surprised laugh out. Why had it taken her so long to realise? She had to tell him. She wanted to be accepted by him.

Running out of the balcony, she rushed towards the guest room and entered in without knocking. But to her dismay, she found Sanskar asleep. The events of the day might have worn him out she thought. "Good night, Sanskar" she whispered softly before slowly padding away from the room.

Back in her room, she clutched the guitar close to her chest as she settled onto the couch that Sanskar had occupied all those days ago. It was going to be a long night. How had Sanskar manage to live her without letting her know for so long and without his feeling being reciprocated? She could barely wait till the morning to tell him. She lightly strummed the guitar composing a tune she didn't really know then. She didn't know when sleep finally overtook her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sanskar woke up early. He didn't want to have an encounter with Swara. He knew he wouldn't be able to keep his angry facade. He really would not be able to look at her in her eye when he handed her the divorce papers. So he decided to sign them and keep them in her room even before she woke up.
Pulling out the file, his hands shook as readied himself to lawfully cut ties with his wife, his love. He hoped his tears wouldn't smudge the shaky signature at the bottom of teh page. He really did not have the strength to actually look at it. Finally, wiping of the remnants of his tears he took the file to their room, or what was once their room.
Swara was still asleep of the couch, her guitar at her feet, still clutched inside her fist, like it was the only thing that was left and was hers. Sanskar's heart gave a tug at the site of her. Taking a deep breath, he left the file on the coffee table. "I'm going to miss you, Swara." Even in the small whisper, his throat cracked at different places. He rushed out, before his legs gave away and Swara could see him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sanskar was not at home when Swara awoke. He had apparently gone for a morning run. She didn't even see him at breakfast. Mom telling her that he had left early for work. Swara was disappointed. She had wanted to talk to him. The file that she had seen in the morning had crushed her but she hoped that Sanskar could forgive her and take her back.

All day, she sat waiting for Sanskar. Her guitar her only companion. Even thoughts of food didn't cross her mind. When Sanskar came in the evening and went directly to the guest room, her heart plummeted. There should be some way.

She was thankful that the guest room balcony and their balcony were adjacent. If he was in the guest room, he could definitely hear her. She took out her guitar and went to the balcony. One by one she started playing Sanskar's favourite songs. Slowly she started on songs asking for an apology, a second chance.

Sanskar's resolve was never very strong when it came to Swara, and it was already cracking. It was as if her music was beckoning him to go before her. He tried to drown her voice for a long time and finally gave up. He stood in front of her on his side of the balcony.

Tears were streaming from her eyes as she sang one song after another, a sight that pulled at his heart strings. But seeing Sanskar in from of her brought a smile to Swara's face.

There was a small ledge separating the two balconies. A small barrier between the two star crossed lovers. Finally Swara started another song, a song which was completely unfamiliar to him. Belatedly he realised it described their love story. It was the song Swara had composed during the day as she waited for him to come back.

As the song finally came to an end, Swara said, "I'm sorry Sanskar. I know I have hurt you and used you. But I really want you back in my life. No I actually need you in my life Sanskar." It took Sanskar a few moments to collect himself. "Why now Swara?" He asked, his voice thick with emotion. "You don't understand, do you?" Swara asked. He shook his head. "All this was just for Ragini, then why suddenly?" He questioned.

"I know we had a fake marriage and then the other 'real' marriage to bring out Ragini's truth. And then later also I came here for Ragini only. But we started of as friends-" Sanskar scoffed at the word. He had come to hate it now. "No" Swara continued, "we started of as friends became best friends even and during this while time, this whole journey somewhere, somehow I fell in love, Sanskar. I fell in love with you." To say Sanskar was spell bound was an understatement. He really wished there was no ledge separating the balconies. "What?" He exclaimed belatedly. But before Swara replied she had crossed over the ledge and was standing in front of him. "I love you, Sanskar, and I want to spend my whole life not just as your best friend but as your wife" she whispered. "Really?" He asked, the confession still taking time to sink in. "Really Sanskar, one hundred percent. I LOVE YOU". She said, much louder this time. Finally he reacted in the way Swara was hoping. He pulled her close by her waist and dipped down his head placing his mouth directly over hers. " I love you too, Swara Sanskar Maheshwari" he mumbled into her mouth.

The end.

Thank you, if you made it this far. Thank you for being patient readers. For every person that reads there is a brighter smile that appears on my face.

AN: I know there are not many dialogues but that's how most of my works are. They mostly deal with the emotions of the characters.

Lots of love

Thank you. Yea I keep thinking that they don't even show her singing songs while doing some other work or something.
I'll probably write maybe once my exams are over.
Thanks once more :)
