Sanskaar was wrong there is nothing to suggest what he did was correct
Drugging Swara was wrong

As far as Lakshya is concerned nobody put a gun to his head and made him marry Ragini
He did it out of his free will, not trusting Swara when he was in love with her was
his choice
Okay he was impulsive, but repeatedly calling her characterless was that not wrong

Both committed mistakes but the difference between the 2 is that
When Sanskar realized he was wrong, he tried to do everything to make things right.

He never shied away from taking the blame, he accepted it apologized
and set out to correct his mistake and this was done when he was not in love with Swara

He just fell in love with her during this process.
It was not as though he fell in love with Swara and then tried to redeem himself
He knew he was wrong and set out to correct his mistakes.

As far as Lakshya goes he apologized and suddenly wants Swara back,
not even caring whether she wants him or not
Everything is everybody else s fault except his
Just like staying married to or divorcing Ragini is your wish
give the same choice to Swara even if she does not love Sanskar
and does not want to be with him, it does not mean she wants to
be with Lakshya

Earn her trust, be a good friend who actually listens to her and
stop emotionally blackmailing her and give her time to sort out things
and let it be her choice whether to come back to you or not

Its not the question of mistakes, everybody commits them its the matter of what you do
afterwards, in this case Sanskaar comes out on top
Lakshya has a long way to go

Sanskar drugged swara when he was a stranger to her.
But Laksh distrust when he was supposed to be in love with her..
Of course the is difference between the two..
And girl, you are unbelievable..
I wonder people are there still liking irritating character like Laksh..
A hero with no brain, not at all trustworthy, unsure about what he wants in his life, immature, idiotic, creepy, two timer.. What not..
He manhandles swara, no care for others feelings... What goodness left in him??
And just think he always says he loves swara, but never trusted her.
How many times as she said she don't want him in life, she doesn't love him..
But still not trusting.
But he hates Ragini.. Still trusts her, following every thing she says..
Such a character with no personality at all.. Totally disgusting..

Thank you for a neutral post.

Bold Black: Yes, that's true. However, you have to acknowledge the situation he was in. First, Swara denied repeatedly about the drugs, which he accepted without questions. Then, he was treated to the video which he couldn't dismiss. Then again, Swara wrote a letter pledging suicide, but returned as married to his brother. Tell me, what is one supposed to make of that? I'd be hella confused.

Red Bold: Has Lakshya repented for his mistrust? According to me, yes. He has cursed himself for not trusting Swara. And his pain has been glaringly visible all this while.

Blue Bold: I don't support his actions of stilfling Swara with advances, or bullying her--stuff which he's doing right now. But the intention behind my thread was the one which I've asked in the 'Concluding' part of my opening post:

"How come we are able to forgive Sanksar whose mistakes are of a much more serious nature than Lakshya's?"

Thank you, again.

Hi Krystal.

See, my point is simple. What matters is the nature of the repentance, as well as the nature of misdemeanor. Even in real life criminal justice system, people convicted of more serious offenses sometimes get released on parole, much before people who have supposedly committed less egregious crimes. Ever wonder why? It's because they were seen to have reformed better, capable of being fruitful and responsible members of society.

Swara could forgive Sanskaar because his repentance was genuine. And it was selfless. He did not force Swara to forgive him, nor, after falling in love with her, did he force her to accept his love.

Lakshya's repentance is genuine. I have no doubt. But I have serious issues, as a woman, as a mother of a daughter, with the corollary actions he is displaying apart from seeking forgiveness. He is forcing a lady who has said "NO" , multiple times, into coming back to him. To me, that is not acceptable.

As to whose past crimes/mistakes were more serious, I'll be frank, legally speaking, Sanskaar's were. BUT, and I come back to this, he was absolutely no one to Swara when he committed those misdemeanors. Lakshya was her FIANCE. I wouldn't blame Swara at all, for applying different yardsticks to each, any human being would expect more from a close relationship than a tangential one.

I hope this answers the queries you raised on the points in my earlier post.

Cheers

The main problem is that Sanskar's actions (drugging, plotting) are being shown and perceived as "mistakes" when they are actually much bigger than that. Repenting for it wouldn't make such actions so forgivable in the real world.

Krystal,
The most important reason that I love Sanskaar is that he is someone who accepts his mistakes. He knows that he has flaws and is not ashamed to own up to them. Again, I am not saying that what Sanskaar did was right because i myself don't support such actions.
If you ask me whether I would have supported Sanskaar if he wouldn't have repented the way he did and just ended things with Swara with a mere sorry? Hell no. I wouldn't have supported Sanskaar then. But not only Sanskaar tried to rectify his mistake, he made sure that Swara gets justice. And that is why now I respect and support him immensely.

What is Laksh doing right now? Does he feel guilty? Yes he does. But does he act like one? No i don't think. Because, everytime I see him, I only see him forcing Swara to come back in his life when she is clearly not interested. And instead of giving Swara time and owning up to his mistakes, Laksh keeps blaming Ragini and Sanskaar for everything that happened. Agreed, they were responsible. And Ragini was the most out of the lot. But as Swara had pointed out, who led that happen? Laksh himself. And it was Laksh who kept insulting her left, right and center. And Ragini wasn't making him do that nor he was on gun point and nor was he drugged.

Again, as I mentioned before, the comparison here is how the two guys have decided to redeem themselves and own up to their mistakes. Sanskaar did every possible thing to rectify his mistake and I am sorry but I am not being baised to any one here but I cannot see that from Laksh.
