PART 3

Pa:Truth or Dare..?
Sa:Truth..
Pa:(Thinks..)Hmmm...Have you ever really loved any girl in your life..?
Swara looked on, with an interested look.
Sa:I have had many crushes before...But, not... you know..."real love"...(then slowly)But I think I love some one now... ( looks at everyone..)
Ad:(surprised)What??You didnt even say to me..!!
La:Even me..
Pa:Come on Sanskaar...Say who is that?
Swara was really shocked...She thought.."Oh no!!Who would it be..?"
Sa:Ha...I won't tell you that..That was not the question..
Everyone asked him many times..But he didnt say...
Ra:Its ok...Leave it..Lets continue the game..
Sanskaar turned the bottle. The bottle stopped to point Swara. Swara was wondering what Sanskaar would ask her.
Sa:Now Swara,Truth or Dare?
Swara thought "If I say Truth, then I will also have to answer such questions..."
Sa:Come on Swara,what are you thinking?
Sw:Dare
Ad: Wow!!...she is the first one to answer Dare...!
Sa:(was impressed)Ok..You will have to stare into Ragini's eyes without breaking eye contact for say...,two miutes.That means you should not blink..Ok?
Sw:Ok..
Ra:No Sanskaar...My eyes will become watery...Swara, you stare into Sanskaar's eyes..
Sa:Ok..
Swara began to feel nervous..
Parineeta and Ragini smiled knowingly at each other...
La:Swara,Sanskaar..are you ready..?( checking the watch)And your time starts NOW...
Swara and Sanskaar were sitting face to face and were looking into each others eyes.The others were standing around them. Lakshya was checking the time.
Swara was feeling very nervous inside, but she didn't show that. She was staring into her Sanskaar's eyes!!! She couldn't believe that. She was unaware of what was happening around her. She was not blinking, not because it was a Dare. She was in a trance and she was lost in the magic of his eyes.
Two minutes were past.
La:Time up..Swara...you did it...!!
Sw:(came into her senses) What??
She had forgotten that all of them were around her. Everyone clapped their hands for her and she glanced at Sanskaar, who was also happily clapping hands, gazing at her. Swara smiled and turned the bottle. Now it was Lakshya's turn because the bottle was pointing in his direction..
Sw: Lakshya,Truth or Dare?
La:Dare..
Sw: Ok..You have to sing a song ...
La:(gets up) Oh..So simple...!!
Sw:Not that simple..You have to dance for that song also..
Lakshya began to sing the song and danced to the tune...
La:" Aa ki party meri taraf se..Aaj ki party meri taraf se..Chaand ko bolo utre falak se..Aaj ki party meri taraf se..Dum dum dukur dukur..Ahaa..Dum dum dukur dukur.." ( ends up laughing)
Everyone laughed and clapped feeling amused. Then he came and sat in his place and turned the bottle. It pointed at Adarsh.
La: (laughs) Truth or Dare..?
Ad: Dare..!
La: This one is easy, dude..Kiss the birthday girl on her cheek..
Ad: (claps on Lakshya's shoulder)Tune toh mere mann ki baat sunli..
Parineeta giggled and watched Adarsh nearing her. He bent and kissed on her cheek with love. Then after coming back to his seat, he turned the bottle again. It slowed and pointed Sanskaar, yet again.
Sa:Now what is this..Me again!!NoNo..
Ad:Kya 'No No"?Bol.. Truth or Dare?
Sa:Acha..Dare..
Ad:Now you can't escape Sanskaar..Ha ha..You have to propose the girl you love, tomorrow..Aur woh bhi hum sab ke saamne...(laughs)
Sa: (nervous) Kya keh rahe ho yaar..?
La: Great, Adarsh...(laughs and gives a hi five)
Ra:(checking the time)Hey.. its 7.15!!Parineeta..Please drop us...(gets up)Come on Swara...Byeee
Sw:(gets up)Oh..Ok byeee...
Soon Parineeta left with Ragini and Swara to drop them. Parineeta,Ragini and Swara were walking to the car..
Ra:Parineeta...The party was wonderful...
Pa:Thank you...We all really enjoyed na...Hai na Swara?
Sw:Haan...Par kaun hogi woh...??(sadly)
Ragini & Parineeta:Who??
Sw:(in a sad voice)Woh ladki, jisse Sanskaar pyaar karta hain..
Ragini and Parineeta looked at each other. They were feeling sorry for Swara. They didn't wish to discuss that topic with Swara because they knew she would feel sad. Just then Swara noticed that her mobile was not with her.
Sw:Oh no!! my mobile..It must have fallen under that table when I got up..It was on my lap..I will go and get it..(runs into the house)
Swara reached the hall. Lakshya and Sanskaar were sitting at the table and were discussing something. Adarsh was not with them. They didn't see her coming. She reached near them. Swara was about to ask them about her mobile when..
Sa: ...I don't know how will Ragini react when I propose her tomorrow..
Swara was shocked..She thought.."Ragini!!"..
La:Why do you think like that?
Sa:Will she think bad about me..?Now only we have become good friends..(looked at Lakshya)
Sw:(keeps her expression,cool)Lakshya..
La:(Looks sideways at Swara and was surprised)Swara, tum..! Kya hua? Waapas kyun chaali aayi..
Sa:(turns back to see Swara, with a shocked face) Swara??
Sw:Woh main... mobile bhool gayi thi..(goes under the table and gets her mobile)..I got it..Teek hai..main chalti hoon..Byeee..They are waiting for me..got to go... (and she ran away)
Once she reached outside,she ran back to Ragini and Parineeta. Then they got into the car quickly. Swara was silent in the car. She thought, "Agar Sanskaar Ragini se pyaar karta hai toh, main kaun hoti hoon un dono ke beech mein aane wali..?"..She makes a plan in her mind to make Ragini love Sanskaar.
Parineeta dropped them in the hostel and went back. Ragini and Swara reached their room. The other roommates had went down to have food. Both of them changed their dress and lay down on their beds since they had already had food. They were feeling really tired. After some time Swara went and sat on Ragini's bed.
Sw:Raginiii...
Ra:Haan..
Sw:Yeh Sanskaar utna handsome nahin hain..?I didn't really like him today..He was looking really bad in that blue shirt..
Ra:(sits up and puts her hand around Swara's shoulder )Swara,I know why you are telling this..Because Sanskaar told that he loves some one, na..May be that girl is you, Swara..
Sw: No Ragini..
Tears began to fall down from Swara's eyes..Ragini didn't notice that..
Ra: Don't be so pessimistic, Swara..I have a strong feeling that the girl is you..! Lets just hope for good, Swara..You really love him na..
Sw: Stop it Ragini..I can't love him anymore..
Ra: What are you saying Swara..?
Sw:(gets up to face Ragini)BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU, RAGINIII..(cries)He loves you...
Ra:(shocked)What are you telling Swara..?Just because he chose to dance with me,you are making up all this !!I can't believe you Swara..!!
Sw:(wiping her tears)No Ragini..I am not making up all these..I heard them talking about you, when I went back to take my mobile..
Ra:(couldn't believe her ears)WHAT??Sanskaar loves...ME!!(sits back on the bed due to shock)...I thought that he was like a good friend of mine...
Sw:(went and sits near her)Its Ok Ragini..Don't think about me..If you like him,you can say... (gets up)...well... 'Yes' to him...I don't have any problem...(looks at Ragini)
Ra:(looks at her angrily)What??...I can't believe you, Swara..I'm going to sleep...good night...(she lay back on her bed and closed her eyes)
Sw:(sadly) Goodnight...
Then she went to her bed and lay down, and wept silently till she slept off.

Next day in college

Ragini and Swara were walking to the college. Now there was no tension between them. Ragini was behaving friendly as usual with Swara, since they got up in the morning. They hadn't discussed Sanskaar's topic after the previous night.
Ra:Today we have Mrs.Kumar's class..I hate sitting in her class...
Sw:Haan..Even I don't like..Its really boring..
After some time they reached their class.

In the evening after class:
Ragini,Parineeta and Swara were walking down the staircase.They hadn't told Parineeta about the incident of Swara overhearing Sanskaar-Lakshya's conversation. They met Adarsh and Lakshya on the way.
Pa:Hiii guys...But where's Sanskaar?
La: He went to buy flowers, to propose his girl...
Ad:(laughs)We were coming to call you to watch his 'proposal scene'..
They all walked down the staircase and reached outside.Ragini slowly pulled Swara backwards and they began to walk behind the others.
Sw:What??
Ra:Shhh...I am going to tell Sanskaar that I love someone else..ok..
Sw:But Ragini...
Ra: That's final...
When they reached near the football ground. Only Swara saw Sanskaar at a distance, coming with a bunch of roses in his hands. The others didn't notice him coming.
Sw:(nervously)Ragini..He is coming..
Ra:Where??(and she also saw him)
When Sanskaar reached near, Adarsh saw him..
Ad:Sanskaar...
But Sanskaar went past the others and moved towards Ragini and Swara..Adarsh,Parineeta and Lakshya turned around to see what was happening. Sanskaar stopped in front of Ragini and Swara.Adarsh and Parineeta were looking at them with shocked faces. But Lakshya's face was full of tension.
Ra:(nervously)Listen Sanskaar...
Sanskaar knelt before them...They moved backwards..
Sa: I Love You Swara...(offers the roses to her)
Swara was shocked beyond limits...She couldn't believe her ears...She was standing still..
Sw:What??
Sa:Yes...I love you...(and stands up smiling)
Swara was overjoyed and tears began to fall from her eyes. She smiled ,took the roses from him and hugged him tightly.
Sw:Oh!!Sanskaar...I love you tooo...
Sanskaar also hugged her back happily.But he was also surprised. He didn't expect this kind of response from her.
Swara was not even aware that everybody was watching them.
But then Swara thought, "Then why were they discussing about proposing Ragini yesterday..?"
Suddenly she withdrew from Sanskaar's embrace and looked into his eyes. She remembered the pain he had caused her the previous night. Tears began to fall from her eyes again. She wanted to ask him so many questions. But she couldn't ask anything. Then she looked around and she became aware that everybody was watching her. She wiped her tears and ran away crying.
Sa:(feeling hurt)Ragini,what happened to Swara..?
Tears were running down Ragini's eyes also. But she was happy for her friend.
Ra:(wiping her tears)She loves you Sanskaar...She has loved you from the first day itself..
Adarsh,Parineeta and Lakshya came to them..
Ad:(holding the sides of his head with both hands in shock)Hey..what was all that??Sanskaar, you love Swara..And Swara loves you..I can't believe this!!
Sanskaar didn't reply.
Pa:Come on Adarsh,I shall explain everything...(she takes Adarsh away from Sanskaar)
Sa:(to Ragini)But why did she run away from me crying?
Ra:That's because she had thought that you loved me..
Sa:What??How did she think like that??
Ra:I don't know..She told me that ,yesterday when she came to take the mobile she heard you guys talking about proposing me..
La:I think she misunderstood us..I will go and convince her...(places his hand on Sanskaar's shoulder) Don't worry Sanskaar...(and goes in the direction in which Swara went)
Lakshya walked a certain distance and saw Swara. She was sitting on a garden bench and was crying. He went and placed his hands on her shoulder. Swara turned to look at him
Sw:(wipes her tears away)Lakshya..
La:(sits beside her)What happened Swara?Sanskaar is really hurt..He loves you so much and..
Sw:(interrupts in a hurt voice)Then what were you talking about yesterday?About..about proposing ...Ragini..
La:Arre pagli...we were not talking about that..
Then he explains the real conversation to her
$$$$FLASHBACK$$$$$
Parineeta left with Ragini and Swara to drop them...
Adarsh's mobile rang and he went to attend the call.
La:Tell me Sanskaar who are you going to propose tomorrow..?
Sa:(smiles and looks down)Swara...
La:(surprised)What??
Sa:Haan...Main usko pehle din se pasand karta hoon...You know...Love at first sight..
La:So you are going to propose her tomorrow?
Sa:(feeling irritated)Haan..What shall I do?Yeh sab uss Adarsh ke wajah se hain..Woh aur uska 'Dare'..
La:But Sanskaar..what will Swara say..?
Sa:I think she will think about me as a flirt ..Its only 3 days since we all met na..
La:I shall convince her that you really love her...Don't worry about that...
Sa:...I don't know how will Ragini react when I propose her tomorrow..
La:Why do you think like that?
Sa:Will she think bad about me..?Now only we have become good friends..(looked at Lakshya)
Sw:Lakshya
Then Lakshya and Sanskaar saw Swara...

La:This is what happened Swara...
Sw: Really Lakshya..(laughs) Main kitni buddhu hoon na..Aadhi baat suni aur galat baat samajh gayi..
Then she saw Sanskaar,Adarsh,Parineeta and Ragini coming towards them...
