Secured in his familiar embrace Swara tightly clutched his jacket in her fist, her eyes tightly clenched shut and Sanskaar had her securely wrapped with his arms around her tightly, his familiar essence soothing her of her Nyctophobia. He soothingly rubbed her back trying to calm her down she was almost hysterical and he couldn't bear to see tears in eyes of his beloved.
"Shhh... shhh Swara it's alright, everything will be fine" but her fear was overpowering her senses.
"Swara, swara meri ankhon mein dekho... Main hoon na main tumhe kuch nahi hone doonga" She opened her and saw him looking at her intently with the same intensity and passion he used have before. Looking into his eyes she knew that he won't let anything happen to her ever, her fear started to subside and so did her tears. She just wanted to keep on looking into his eyes forever but did not have the courage to keep on doing so, what did had done to him was a crime in her eyes, she had separated a father from his daughter, God! He didn't even know had a daughter.
How was going to live with herself now! She wanted to ask no not ask beg for forgiveness but did not know if she even deserved a chance to beg for forgiveness or not anymore.
The loud announcement brought them back to the world "The next performance is by Navya Malhotra which will be followed by a dance performance from Sanskriti Maheshwari"
Swaras eyes widened, "Oh Shit! Maine Sanskriti se promise kiya tha main uski performance front row se dukhungi, ab tak toh saari seats full ho gayi hogi" worried she rushed to the auditorium.
But as she feared all the seats had been filled up, her heart filled up with sadness of disappointing her daughter but Sanskaar at that precise moment came and stood beside her from the corner of her eyes she saw him calling someone and then he took her hand in his and took her to two empty seats in the front row besides Lakshya and Ragini also his Secretary was seated on the other side.
Swara sat beside Myra, leaving the empty seat between Lakshya and Swara for Sanskaar, Sanskaar was amused looking at her childish behaviour of not letting him sit beside his secretary.
Sanskaar tried to look disappointed that he could not sit beside Myra but was too happy inside that atleast his Swara was still possessive about him. Swara placed her hand on his which was resting lightly on the handrest and squeezed it which made Sanskaar look in her direction.
"Thank you Sanskaar, I hate disappointing Sanskriti and if she wouldn't have seen me here she would have been so scared and I did not want her first ever performance to go wrong" Sanskaar just nodded.
Sanskriti's performance began and she performed a beautiful Ballet piece, Swara had already seen her do this so many times but still like a proud parent was cheering loudly for her daughter. Sanskaar's eyes filled with tears for the first time ever he had seen his daughter perform and he was having a proud father moment even he started cheering for her loudly.
The function had been a major hit, prizes had been distributed with Sanskriti winning the trophy even the scholarships were declared. Swara, Sanskaar, Lakshya, Ragini and Myra were waiting outside for Sanskriti to come join them.
Suddenly Myra's phone rang and she went away to answer her phone. Swara was whole time glaring at Myra and also thinking how to tell Sanskriti that Sanskaar was her papa. Oh God She is going to hate me for keeping her from her father' she muttered. Ragini understood what was going on in Swara's mind and so decided to ease her mind she pulled her aside and said, "Voh Swara humein tumse kuch kehna tha"
"Aree Ragini voh sab chod, Mujhe batao how am I going to introduce Sanskaar to Sanskriti I am so scared"
"Humein yahi batana hai Swara Sanskriti janti hai ki Sanskaar uske papa hai, voh dono pichle do haafton se mil rahein hai" gulping she looked down.
"Yeh tum mujhe ab bata rahi ho Ragini" Swara was feeling helpless for four years she had been a single parent and now right in front of her eyes everything was changing and she did not know what to do she was feeling utterly confused.
Myra came back and she and Sanskaar were talking intently looked like they were discussing something but they were inaudible to her she was trying very hard but could not listen to a single word they were uttering. To Swara it felt like she had lost him all over again and the feeling was too much to bear.
"uhm uhm" Laskhya cleared his throat to bring Swara out of her thoughts.
"Vaise Swara, ek aache lagta hai na dono" he teased but Swara felt like hitting him hard but tried to control herself.
Lakshya started laughing and Swara's anger turned into confusion. "Kya hua Lakshya tum aise kyu hass rahe ho?"
"Saali sahib/Bhabhi ji, Myra Sanskaar bhai ki Secretary hai and they are discussing a business deal.. Tum bina baat ke jal rahi ho.. aur Sanskaar Bhai yahi toh chahte hain." Swara's mouth dropped open she could not believe what she was hearing.
"Theek hain Lakshya agar yahi meri galti ki saza hai toh mujhe manzoor hai jo maine Sanskaar ke saath kiya hai uske samne toh inn dono ko saath me dekhna kuch nahi hai"
Sanskaar was listening to Lakshya and Swara's conversation whatever their past he still could not bear for her to be sad and in pain so he just rushed up to her and took her in his arms holding onto her like she was his last breath of air.
Lakshya smiled and his loud whistle brought them back to their senses Swara started blushing and Sanskaar was looking at her grinning like an idiot.
"Bhai, Swara main aur Ragini Sanskriti ko anpe saath leke jaate hain you two have a lot to talk about" and he left.
"Chalein?" Sanskaar offered her his hand and she happily placed her hand in his. They went to their flat.
Their flat' after so many years Sanskaar could say that again, they had made so many memories here - moments filled with Happiness, fights, Love making and also sadness but it was theirs it belonged to them and only them.
None of them talked for a while but Swara wanted to come out clean with no more secrets between them.
"Sanskaar main tumhare pyaar ko kabhi khokla prove nahi karna chahti thi, Main janti thi ki tumhara pyaar jutha nahi tha lekin humari shaadi ke baad ek baar Maa ne mujhse kaha tha ki Tum Kavita se bahot pyaar karte ho aur agar uss din humari shaadi nahi hoti toh tum aur Kavita shaadi karne wale the mere dil mein humesha yeh baat khatak ti rahi ki kahi shayad main tmhare aur kavita ke beech mein toh nahi aa gayi , shayad tum iss rishte ko mauka sirf ek farz samaj kart oh nahi de rahe lekin yeh sab maine tumse kabhi kaha nahi lekin uss din jab mujhe pata chala that I was pregnant mein tiffin leke tumhare office aayi and maine sirf itna sunke ki tum Kavita se pyaar karte ho vaha se chali gayi... I am sorry Sanskaar I am so so so very sorry" etars were flowing out of Swara's eyes but she could see a frown on Sanskaar face and was disheartened that maybe he did not believe her.
She placed her hand on top of his and called out to him, "Sanskaar, tum sunn rahe ho na?"
"Swara are you sure tumse Maa as in Badi Maa ne yeh sab kaha tha?" he asked again.
"Haa Sanskaar lekin kyu? Kya hua?" She was clearly confused.
"Maine kabhi bhi kisi bhi ghar ke insaan ko Kavita ke bare mein nahi bataya" He stated grimly.
Finally understanding dawned on her, Badi Maa had tried to separate them and had also been successful the only question left was why?!
