"So madamji how were your finals." Lakshya asked Swara as he sat down at the dining table for a late lunch with the rest of his family. Swara who was standing next to his mother, Annapurna began serving his plate as she answered him that her exams went well and in a few days her school in Kolkata would be opening for the second term. She looked around at the family members present at the table with the exception of her father-in-law, Uncle-in-law and Adharsh Bhaiya.

Swara sat down at her place at the table after making sure everyone present had been served lunch. She was just about to began serving herself when she heard Sanskar shift in his chair and dropped his fork with a bang on his plate. She looked up at him just as he said "Mom, what is this?" Sanskar frowned as he lifted his paratha from his plate and frowned pointing at it. He clearly showed his dislike for it and started making weird faces looking at it.

Sujata put down her fork and covered her forehead with her hand "Jiji, mein iss chore ka kya karoo?" as she asked Annapurna. Annapurna smiled and said "Tum usse kyun force karti ho roz roz yeh sab khane kai liye" Swara just looked on to see the drama unfold. She understood that he wanted to eat something different then what was present at the table for lunch.

"Na, jiji mare se yeh alag alag khana bana jata" Sujata waved her hand infront of her in showing her discontent. "Mom, I'll do it" Swara stood up from her spot and turned to Sanskar and asked him "Kya khana hai tumhe?"

"You're going to make my food?" he questioned her back as he let out a chuckle and said to Lakshya "Lucky, wife cooks for husband?" feeling inquisitive as why she would cook for him.

"Tell me, Tumhe kya khana hai?" She said in her frustration of being made fun off.

"Aaj mujhe noodle khana hai. You know long long, curly curly, hot and spicy. But not too spicy. You can make that?" he requested that. She noded her head and took Parineeta with her to show where things were in the kitchen.

After several minutes Swara reappeared with Noodles for Sanskar which he dug into the moment it was place on the table.

"Wow, Swaraji these are awesome" he said in between bites. "Tum roj mere liye khana banana, ok" Everyone present at the table just looked on with content as Swara nodded in acceptance.

With Sanskar content with his meal Swara finally sat down to eat her lunch. At the completion of lunch Annapurna reminded Sujata that Swara show go visit her mayka(maternal home) tomorrow before she start her college again to complete the pagphere ritual that every newly married girl completes after her marriage.

Swara agreed that she will leave for it tomorrow morning, but Sujata spoke in between saying that Sanskar will accompany her too. "Haan Sanskar bhai i'll accompany you both" Lakshya said with a smirk.

"kyun chore, tu kahe ko jayega un dono kai saath" asked Sujata.as she pulled his ear. "Chachi, yeh dono ka to connection hogaya, Kal mein bi Ragini se meri kathirdari karvalu. Shayad vo bi mujhe issi tara ghass dalde jesse Swara ne dala aaj bhai ko" he laughed as he tried to wiggle his ear out of Sujata's grasp.

"Swara tumne gass dala tha meri noddles mein?" he questioned Swara feeling all grossed out and not fully understanding what the whole conversation was about. But before Swara could say anything Lakshya was reprimanded by both the mothers for calling Swara by her name. They told him that since Sanskar was elder to him, he should call her Bhabhi just as he does with Parineeta.

Kali Badi - Next Morning

Swara and Sanskar were welcomed into the Gadoria Living room. Sanskar was acting on his best behaviour thought Swara as she saw him greet her parents and grandparents properly.

Her parents we overly ecstatic to see their daughter after a very long week and that too in traditional clothing. They knew how Swara was not content in wearing Indian clothing for day to day wear.

Shomi hugged her daughter and sat her down as she said she will go and prepare her favorite adrak masala chai with alu pokore. Then she turned to Sanskar and asked him if he would have the same when he replied in his childish way "Aunty, I am too young to drink chai, mein to sirf Horlicks pita hoon for breakfast"

Everyone turned to look at Sanskar not understanding his request. No one said anything so Swara took Sanskar by his arm to the side and was about to say something when Shekar approached them and said as he patted Sanskar's shoulder "Beta, ghar pe to koyi Horlicks nahi pita. Magar mein abhi bazar se mangva ta hoon." With that he asked him to sit.

"Nahi Baba, Sanskar aab jahi raha hai" Swara butted in and motioned to Sanskar to leave as she said to him "Shyam ko mile te hai, okay! Bye" Sanskar looked at Swara and with a twinkle in his eye he though chal beta tera kam hogaye, tu aab nikal yahan se. Shyam ki baat to door ki baat hai' as he exited Kali Badi.

Just as soon as Sanskar was out of hearing lenght Shekar faced Swara and questioned her "Yeh saab Kya hai, Shona"

"Baba yeh..." Swara fumbled as she diverted her gaze unable to meet her dad's eyes. He would clearly be able to she the truth in her eyes

Shekar stopped her from saying anything further and spoke "I forbid you to return with him in the evening,no daughter of mine will stay with a mentally challenged husband"

"Baba" pleaded Swara "please listen to me, aap shant ho jaye yeh. Hum yeh baate shanti se bhete ke kar sakte hai"

"Shant? Mein kese shant ho javu. Meri Shona ek pagal ke saat apna jeewan nahi bitayegi?"

Shomi and dadi tried to get Shekar to calm down but to no avail. He kept on going on and on how he felt cheated and was going to call off Ragini-Lakshya wedding "one decit only leads to many more. I am completely capable of taking care of both of my daughter." he was about to call Durga Prasad Maheshwari when Swara grabbed her purse and went towards the door and shouted "Baba, you won't have to worry about this one". He fumed at the way Swara was taking her own decision. He called out to her to stop her but she disregarded his calling

She looked back only briefly when he yelled "If you step out of this door I will believe I only have one daughter and also tell that devar of your to take his baraat elsewhere. Shekar Garordia will not let his only daughter step foot in that house, let alone get married into that house.l"

Swara quickly wiped her tears from her face as she ran down the stairs and out the doors and right into the white BMW that was still parked where she had gotten off from just a short while ago.
