Author's POV

Kunal slightly tapped Karan's shoulder "Kya Bhai?" He was perfectly ready for the preparations in a white shirt and track pants looking fresh.

Karan winked "is all this to impress Bhabhi? I haven't seen you taking efforts to look presentable in the house" Kunal blushed but soon recovered and blew a hit on Karan's back. Their bromance was always a treat for others.

A girl tugged on to them "Bhaiyya, others are practising in the terrace, they called you"

Kunal and Meghna had earlier decided to dance of Tum hi ho, while Karan was yet to choose a song. They walked towards the terrace where the girls were practising.

Aaja Nachle's lyrics could be clearly heard.

And there they were, Meghna was sitting on the edge of terrace while Naina moved her legs to the beats of Aaja Nachle perfectly synchronising with the song.

Karan's eyes fell on her, and he could fell being trapped under an unknown magnetic spell. In a simple green skirt that swayed around along with her and the long bangs that continuously fell on her face and with the smile that grew wider with each step she did, he couldn't take his eyes off her.

Claps of others brought Karan back to senses, while Naina dramatically bowed down. "So, di and Jeeju, now your turn" with that she switched the song and went and stood near Karan, all the way everyone showered Naina with praises.

Holding Meghna's waist Kunal kept on twirling her around and with a few beautiful lifts and movements, they beautified the song Sanam Re.

"Don't they look beautiful together?" words slipped off her tongue as she was mesmerised by their chemistry. But, Karan's reply was from a completely different point of view, "Bhai is lucky to have Bhabhi, this might be true love, but all aren't lucky that."

"isn't it the real fun in love? Trying to find your soul mate." She always had strong views about love, unlike Karan. "It's purely a game of luck, a game of feelings. You hit the jackpot, you turn lucky. If not, then you turn bankrupt with your feelings." Karan's points were sharp as the arrow that hit the bull's eye.

"you might not believe in love Karan, nor do I want to make you believe in it. But, one day there will be a girl, who will teach you what love is. And you know what the funniest part would be?"

Karan though didn't agree with what she said, was curious now. The goes close to his ears whispering "you won't even know that you are falling in love unless you have tripped and fell head over heels"

Her words were sharp. If she had so much belief in love, then why couldn't she stay with it? Was it too much to ask? Karan debated inside him.

She was right. Not anymore. He had tripped and fallen head over heels but now, he also had turned cold like a snowcap, glaciers melting only for his princess.

Kunal poured in a drink calming his nerves.

"There's nothing for you to know Karan. I shouldn't have trusted you with this, just get away from me," her words echoed.

What went wrong between them? Was it her inability to trust him? Or was it his failure to see through her? Or was it the fact that they had taken each other for granted?
