Karan!!! 💔 Yesterday, I thought he deserved what he got but today, I felt so bad for him again! Actually, I felt bad for both Naina and Karan. And that is kudos to the writing. You get where both the characters are coming from and you feel for both. That is how stories should be crafted. 👏
Lets look at Naina. She is very upset. And rightly so. She is also disappointed in Karan because she never thought that Karan would do something like this. She had thought that she would get some answers with the meeting but got nothing. The scene where she was in the garden was so beautifully shot. She was mulling over everything and the thought that pinched her the most was, as she said, "Karan mujhse itni nafrat karta hai ki jo kabhi kuch nahi bolta, vo itna bada jhoot bol gaya." THIS. She has seen him with people and even with her, he has always been clear on what he wants and where she stands. So this level of subterfuge is not in his nature. She guessed as much. And in this she is right. But where she is wrong is on the motive. She thinks its hatred, we know its not. But there is no way Naina would know. Also, she really finds herself confused. This stunt of Karan's has really shaken her confidence about making the rishta work. But she can't go back because of her mother's swabhimaan. She is well and truly caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. I really really feel for her.
As always, the sisters' scene was a delight! I love how these two comfort each other and are each others' strength. Though today, it was only Naina who needed comfort and Meghna was there for her as always. Poor Karan is doing nothing to endear himself to Meghna. Bohot bhaari padega ye tumhe Karan! 😆
And now Karan. Firstly, did he sleep on the couch in the room expecting Naina to sleep on the bed? Matlab he was willing to share a room with her? Wah bhai, one dunking in the pool has done wonders. 🤣 So Karan gets up and doesn't find Naina there and gets worried. Goes searching for her and finds her sleeping in the store room. And can't stop looking at her. Karan is feeling intensely guilty right now. He has realized that he crossed a line, that it was too much. He really didn't want to hurt Naina but ended up doing so. Ye meri vajah se yahaan aise aake so rahi hai. Aww. He sits down next to her, exactly like Naina had last week, and almost put out his hand to touch her but then pulled back. And then she woke up. Karan was so flustered! The scene that followed was such a role reversal between them. Today, he kept talking and she ignored him. Karan was so cute trying to tell her to stop sleeping here and come back to the room." Dekho, vapas chalo. Aaj raat se tumhe yahaan sone ki zaroorat nahi hai. Tum sun rahi ho?" Aww. Itna haq kisne diya Karan? 😉 Then he says that she is doing this to make him feel guilty and this is not necessary. She stops , looks at him and says that the lie he told was also not necessary and walks off. She is not trying to make him feel guilty. She is upset with him and needs space to figure out stuff. Hence she is avoiding him. At least this is my interpretation.
Karan's monologue after she left was heartbreaking! "Haan, maine zindagi mein pehli baar itna bada jhoot bola kyunki mein tumhe apni sacchayi nahin bata sakta. Par mein Jhoota nahin hoon Naina! THIS. This broke my heart. He really doesn't think there is any future in this relationship and wants her to go. He hated lying to her but had to do it. And now feels intensely guilty about it. This feels like this is Karan. Yesterday's amused Karan was slightly off but today he was back to make us feel his confusion, his pain, his grief. 💔
Seems like we have interesting times ahead. Looking forward to how NaiRan go from here!
